But they were listening live by the literal Vivaldi 😔 we only hear the remakes any time we please. I guess it’s a win for people 300 yrs ago and us.

My Girlfriend who passed away at 23. Introduced me to this masterpiece and many many more. I am a metal fan. This is the real metal right here. Thank you whispering winds.
Sorry for your loss
How did she die at a young age?
@@yoshiwoollyworld accidents, diseases, sudden heart attacks, genetic disorders just to name a few. you may have heard the phrase "Death doesn't keep a calendar" there's no such thing as dying ONLY when you're old. It can happen any second of the day :)
@@agentlovesya did i say that only old people die? No, but the death wasn’t specified
Winter Allegro Non Molto is my absolute favorite. It used to play in my moms house all the time while she was reading and I was rehearsing percussion and running mallet rudiments. And yeah, this is very metal. Vivaldi clearly strived his first chairs to lead. This, Beethoven's 7th, and Mozart's Requiem are very metal to me.
I'm a total metalhead, but anybody who can't appreciate the beauty of classical music is a cretin, pure and simple. If you listen to the great artists of the genre and aren't moved, then you must have ice flowing through your veins.
Vivaldi would have absolutely been a metal head if he were alive today. his style is as close to thrash metal as you can get with a powdered wig on 🤘
Two windmills are standing in a field and one asks the other, "What kind of music do you like?" The other replies, "I'm a big metal fan."
@@dontcallmegus I don't even get it but nice! NVM I just got it while writing this comment.
I'm pretty sure most metalheads have quite a bit of classical music training. I'm a metalhead but I went to college for music and learned so much more, mainly about things I already sort of knew lol
@@frankjuggaloheathen1035 yeah, man. Metal is home to a TON of classically trained musicians.
I'd even be pretty confident saying that metal has the most classically trained composers, opera singers, etc. outside of their respective arts.

Hello, all. If anyone sees this before it gets buried by other comments, I just wanted to make a shout out to everyone that's helping keep art alive.
I feel that I'm personally providing culture, peace and inspiration to people with this piece. A civilization that will pour hours, days (my counter says that a total of 711 years, 321 days have been spent watching this video) into appreciating art is a civilization I can have faith in! Think about this -- my video alone has probably had four times the listening-time to audiences than the last three hundred years have seen, period. This way, Vivaldi's music is not only not dying, it is actually MASSIVELY growing in popularity! I feel wonderful that I can honour a master like him with a gift like this :) And every one of you is contributing to that.
Thanks for uploading this, I would probably never have taken the effort to start listening to this unless it was on TH-cam in its entirety and for free. I love it!

I love how Vivaldi portrays winter. It is violent and harsh, but also beautiful and calming
It feels very "nostalgic" for a point of time that never existed, if that makes sense. It gives the same feeling of what I imagine sitting in a snow cabin in the forest would feel like in your mind. Not actually doing this irl, but imagining it in your mind. Bc real life is not as glorious as in someone's mind
@@user-tw1pm6nr5e i disagree. i understand what u are trying to say, that in real life you have to really deal with the negatives of bad weather/season or whatever, but that doesnt mean that u cant enjoy it. sitting in a snow cabin in real life is much more magical than u could ever imagine. or being in a storm. theres nothing more humbling than seing those powers of nature work around you. thats what makes it so beautiful.

i like how he doesn't make winter and autumn like a depressed music it's another vision of the world the beauty
I've never thought of autumn and winter as depressing tbh
Autumn comes with a fanfare of colour and that section opens with a fanfare I find it really fitting.
Autumn 1 is about enjoying the harvest of crops for food and celebrating. Autumn 2 is about sleeping after the celebration as cold air blows. Autumn 3 is about hunting the next day in the autumn morning. Winter 1 is about freezing in the cold. Winter 2 about being home and warm, and Winter 3 about cold air and icey roads. All of this is written in his poems for these movements/songs. It has some struggles, but he does have a way of not making it sound depressing.
No you don't

Amazing success story. After all that searching, you finally reunited with a significant part of your childhood. Good for you! :D
I personally think I was born in the right generation. I mean come on, I
live in a time when I can pull up any classical work I want and listen
to it as much as I want, and can even rewind, forward, and pause it.
That's so cool when you think about it. This may not be the kind of
music most people listen to, but if you appreciate classical music, this
is actually a great time to be alive. You can find pretty much any
musical work you want on the Internet regardless of musical time period,
composer, or ensemble type. And that's a recent thing too; a lot of you
probably remember a time when that wasn't possible. This particular
video hasn't even been up five years yet! I see a lot of comments about
being from the wrong generation and such, but think about it...Back in
the day, you wouldn't be able to just pull up your favorite piece in
your own home and listen to it as much as you want. You would have to
wait until a symphony near you chose to perform your favorite piece. If
you truly love classical music, or any music for that matter, this is a
fantastic time to be around, whether you know it or not!

Adalard Richter Obviously, but they're still dumb for:
1. Being pedantic and close-minded about their music taste. Believe it or not, there's a lot of good music in all genres, but even if you have limited music taste, don't go around acting like that makes you dtand above the other people in your generation.
2. Not realizing that the only reason they can listen to this music so easily and post their shitty comment for others to see is because they live in this time.
If you were born in the times of Vivaldi you could hear him playing...

years? more like centuries.. its the fact the music is colorful.. you can paint a picture in yur mind on just about anything.. the music allows yu to create with it because un like most music this is still living..

my point is i never wanna die cuz ill miss the next wave...and music is too cool to miss a bite
I don't think EVERY pop song is forgotten just like that, but I get your point and I agree that classic music is such a powerful genre that is going to pass through generations and will not get old. Never.
As the steppen wolf would say. Our true purpose is to be immortal.
Qwerty Fan this song makes me feel joy
Zeitlose Schönheit und einfach atmen!
Danke…
I always feel chilly when listening to Winter.
It is like looking out a snowy day, knowing that eventually, you have to go outside.
its crazy how i recognize many of these songs despite having never heard of antonio vivaldi in my life, timeless stuff
this video was made 9 YEARS AGO. dude is an absolute legend. still hearting comments.
The video was made 9 years ago but the music was made 300 years ago, and it's beautiful!
@@marcoponzio1644 yes, they said video. And i have to agree with you, it's very beautiful
Lmao shoot yo shot I guess. Whatever gets the dopamine flowing
I got sober recently. I had heard Vivaldi as a kid but hearing this now through a new pair of ears, there were large pools in my eyes long before Winter arrived. And now I'm crying like a little baby, grateful to be alive, to feel human, and to have my soul back. The pictures are so beautiful and the music just breaks my heart, thank you for this beautiful video and for keeping it clean of ads.
Congrats on being sober. I'm honestly happy for you :))
good job you got sober
Awesome!! Always glad to hear someone reach sobriety, happy for you!! :-)
Congratulations! A good piece will always make me sob
Sober? You should listen to this on opiates or any other euphoric drug. It's much better! I got Sober for a little while, and was miserable. I am back on drugs and much happier now. I love all the seasons.
I remember all Vivaldi Seasons being played on the national radio in Poland every morning when we were preparing for school and our parents doing things around the house and sandwches for school. I would give it all to relive it again. The house, the smell of the breakfast and this beautiful music in the background.
i listened to spring in its entirety for the first time just now
i never knew he was teasing summers main riff all throughout
I hit 50 years of age one week, my father dies the next week and, now just days after his funeral, I'm listening to 'Winter' with a slightly different perspective. Thanks for sharing this!
This is so sad...
The worst birthday gift from life,I guess...
Good for you
I feel very sad and sorry about your Father and I wish you all the best لغتي الأنجليزية متواضعة واقول لك بالعربي أنا آسف لموت والدك
Almost 42 minutes of pure, timeless, heavenly music, but between 17:57 and 20:47 one of the most beautiful pieces in the entire history of music.
Oh yea we know....
thats why we came here...

Yes
Exactly that's why summer is my favourite. Slow at times but when it comes, it comes with the wrath of the heat.
@@jebpleb1803 isn't it like how winter just stays for slow long and slows down time around Dec Jan Feb . It's like that even the sound in the background around this part sounds like time ticking along slowly. But everything is frozen, still and beautiful.
Cette musique est au delà du réel. Le plaisir ressenti en l'écoutant est indescriptible.
A masterpiece of the past …..
The present….
And for the future ….. ❤
I can't believe I've never bothered to check classical music before in my life. I always thought it was boring but now listening to it just puts my soul at ease. I'm glad I was able to hear this masterpiece once again.
@@deniselugo1414 😒
@@deniselugo1414 "Baroque music (UK: /bəˈrɒk/ or US: /bəˈroʊk/) refers to the period or dominant style of Western CLASSICAL music composed from about 1600 to 1750" DUNCE
@@deniselugo1414 it’s not the classical era but all the music from 1400s to 20th century is considered in the classical realm. It’s confusing but technically it can be called classical
this is not classical music, because back then it was just a music. we call it classic because it is one of the best representations of its kind. when our mind and soul is ready for this excellence then we are ready to accept it.
@popcat sounds great to me, not Baroquen at all.
Everytime i listen to Spring, i always imagine myself attending a party in victorian era...
summer and winter are the best
omg me toooo
Gandalf
no shit but still my favorite is Spring

When you put vivaldi to study but you end up directing your own imaginary orchestra
I can totally relate to this.

Every time. Or being one of the strings players. Or dancing to it. It varies.
