  • Have you been feeling overly anxious lately? Or are you worried that your loved ones might be suffering from a mental illness? If you want to be more informed about the warning signs of a mental illness, here are a few early warning signs of mental illness.
Disclaimer. This video is meant to be informative. It is not a guide for self-diagnosis. If any of these points apply to you or someone you know, please seek professional medical help.
Note: How do you help someone with a mental illness? When placed in that situation, many of us do not know what to do. Typically, you might offer words of support or encouragement. You may want to try to solve everything. However, sometimes your seemingly good intentions can come off as abrasive or insensitive. When trying to help someone with a mental health illness, listen. Listen to that person and allow them to voice whatever they are feeling and validate them. Do not try to diagnose them or consult them. Please leave that to a mental health professional. Also, inform yourself about the mental illness and its warning signs so that you can refer them to a professional if necessary. (taking into account if they want to get help also. Don’t try to force anyone).
We also made a video on the signs your mental health is getting worse: • 10 Signs Your Mental H...

If you found out someone close to you had early signs of mental illness, what would you do for them and yourself?

I would tell them i’m here for them and suggest for them to get help by talking to a professional. But if they don’t want to i would make sure to be by their side whenever they need.
I would also talk to them about my own mental health to let them know they sent alone because knowing someone has the same feelings and that your not alone is very comforting.

It could just be that you heard your name getting called one day and now it's kinda in your head so you're subconsciously thinking about it and it just happens because of anxiety and stress.. I mean one or two symptoms can't equate to a full blown mental illness, talk to your doc best of luck! ❤️

That happens to me sometimes. Not that often, but often enough for it to puzzle me. I hear my mum calling me from the other room, yet she claims she hasn't. One time I thought I saw a message from a friend on Discord, but they said they never sent it. I distinctly remember it being a question me about my thoughts on another person we both know, but that's only happened once. Idk

That's right make sure you shun everyone. Ok and make sure you throw that judgement call. Heights is ok to be afraid of and no really no one knows how someone feels. If they get a whole of you when you don't want it or do want it what I have learned is you do this stuff on your own. Friends and finding a man or who ever you gravity to is hard. It has nothing to do with mental illness. It has do do with the crazy society we live in and people just not caring. Good luck and who knows who you will meet and how they will treat you.its not all in the brain when you can't get what you need to go forward and have fun with your control freaks.

I’m really grateful that this is free to watch. It really became a therapy and motivation for me to fix my lifestyle, before I discovered this channel I’ve been through struggles a lot especially with the pandemic. I would always sleep late, woke up late and ate less that changed everything even my mindset and I had a very intense glow down. There were times when I would just lock myself up in my room and cry for hours, I lost my self esteem and confidence but after I saw a video from this channel about unhealthy habits I started to change myself, and now I’m doing great. The pain is still here but it’s getting better and more easier to handle.
So for all of those people out there suffering from anxiety, depression, panic attacks, or whatever you are going through I want you to know that you can do it and overcome it if I can do it so can you. Please don’t lose hope, I love you.

Prithvija, Heal yourself. Reduce negative thoughts. Its quite simple like I have been doing for years. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts and anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Deep inhalation is not needed. Whenever you are free during the day or night before sleep sit or lie down, be still and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. Make the above practice a permanent habit to have a relaxed and successful life. Best wishes and prayers. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

Oh I learn a new thing, thanks.
I didn't know for the connection between prolactine, stress and mental illness. That's why sometimes I don't know if it's stress or mental illness/disorder, or something else.
I got 10 free session with psychologist/therapist, It didn't help me as much as I expected (depression and anxiety)
Video helped me more than the psychologist/therapist. Sessions are too short and expensive, and take my time for not enough solution for me.
I try to get better my myself, with video and comments.
Edit : I read some comments under, and it break my heart to know there are many children who suffer, and parents ignore it.
I am 32 years old, and my mother is same, ignore mental health. How to help all people ?

My self-harm almost never reaches the point of cutting--i don't recall ever intentionally giving myself a bloody nose, and only rarely do I even sustain bruises. That doesn't make it less disturbing. My family and friends don't often know how to react if something triggers me, because it's hard to imagine that I might actually injure myself, despite the fact that I have. My mom recently suggested that I look into getting back into counseling because I've gotten disturbingly open about punishing myself for no discernible reason. I agree and will talk to my doctor asap. Fortunately, I was able to schedule an appointment within two weeks. Why is self-care so difficult?
