We put some on our 01 Ford Excursion, an 8000 lb vehicle, the handling and ride are very good. No more nose-diving like with the Monroes we had on it.

By any chance do those lift up the front end or no cause I added Gabriel lift assist shocks in the rear does very good btw but now my front dips alittle bit down and bounces more

Overtime worn out shocks can cause sag, and adding new ones can alleviate that. As far as giving you truck more lift I’m not 100% sure.

Hey man I have a 2008 Chevy Colorado Z85 4WD. I have the torsion bar cranked up 2” in the front. Never messed with the rear with anything. Will these shocks fit my truck? I messaged someone on eBay selling these shocks and I was told they wouldn’t fit for whatever reason. I am looking for a softer ride and read that these were good for that. Also I just watched your video on the Nitro 8000 shocks, and it seems that you recommend those over the Hydro 7000? I read that the hydro 7000 are better on pavement for a smoother ride where as the Nitro 8000 is better for off-road. Let me know what you would recommend. Thanks.

I don't see why they wouldn't work, unless its because the shocks are for lifted trucks with 3-5" of lift. I would research some forums like 355 nation and ColoradoFans.com for clarification. As to which one you should choose, do you offroad a lot, seldom, or not at all?

@@NC_outdoorsman so I installed the Ranch RS9000XL shocks in the rear with no issue. The shocks in the front were going to be Ranch RS53375. For the life of me I could not get them to slide into place at the bottom of the shock where you slide the bolt through those two holes. Essentially the black rubber material on both sides of the bottom of the shock was preventing me getting the shock in its mounting place. There was too much rubber material to the point where it would not fit no matter what. Ended up getting Monroe front shocks, and it was also difficult fitting those in, but I eventually got them into place. A lot of prying and hammering to knock it into place. It seems other people have this issue when installing the front shocks.

@@Andrew-Knecht I had some difficulty installing the front shocks as well. like you said I'm pretty sure it's a common problem.

How many times did you turn your keys with the shocks? I have mine cranked 8 times and running 33 in tires and you are right it rides like shit 😂 have the shackles but I can’t find any info on how to lift the front higher and keep a smooth ride, really contemplating on buying these

The keys were turned before I got the truck, I turned the keys a slight bit more after i installed the shocks. I haven't made a video since before i did that.Im not sure overall how many times they were turned. They were turned up so much i couldn't get the front end aligned so i had to lower back down a bit.right now as it sets it not quite leveled. It still doesn't ride amazing but it is 110% better than it was with the stock shocks. To lift it much higher you would probably have to get an actual suspension lift.or a body lift.

u hade the bilstiens? i heard the ones for h2 the best.. but lil stiff what u think.. i heard if u crank it makes stiffer then stock no matter what tho curious ur thoughts if these are better then bilstein in stiffnes or so forth or same

I don’t think any shock is going to rid you of 100% of the stiffness if the truck is cranked.I wanted the Bilsteins, but they were way out of my budget.I have not had experience with bilstein shocks on a truck. These we’re just replacing the stock shocks.
