  • Skyjacker brings to you their new line of Black MAX Shocks. They are a twin tube shock absorber with increased fluid capacity that utilizes 'foam-cell' technology. Features arc welded end mounts and specific select valving, giving these shocks an edge over the competition.

    these are awsome shocks for heavy high lifted trucks,stops that cab rocking,i drive camaro ss and corvettes,so im used to a stable and solid suspension,these shocks keep the trucks wheels on the ground,i dont feel a too much difference on the ride comfort quality,my 2012 silverado ltz with a 6 inch lift on mt 33s were bouncing all around and slamming down hard ,but after i installed these with rod side up, it is like driving a cloud that doesnt do all that bouncing or hopping around,cant really explain it,just gotta try it,thanks

    I just ordered these for my Jeep WJ.. I have found I like SKyjackers more. before these i was running the skyjacker H7000 they worked pretty good enjoyed my time with them. but not since I put a lift kit in the WJ time to upgrade the shocks.

    Iam think about putting a 3in suspension lift on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 and I was wondering what size lift shocks should I put in the front and rear

    Would these fit a 2003 GMC YUKON? and how lift do these skyjacker black max give you on average?

    I have the Skyjacker m95 front and rear on my TJ. They work great on the front, but are too stiff in the rear. I'm thinking of switching to these to see if the rear will take bumps better.

      Hi Daniel, yes a Monotube shock will cause a firmer/ tighter ride on the road but will handle the harder hits and rebounds off road. So yes, being that the rear of a TJ is very light compared to the front then we would recommend that the black max shocks would work well.

      How does it feel on roads and corners with a stiffer rear?

    Is it true the "foam cell" feature allows these to be mounted either body end on bottom or body end on top?

      I always recommend mounting hydro shocks with the body at the bottom so the piston is always submerged in fluid. If you are having clearance issues you can try flipping them, but take it for a careful test drive to insure they are working properly.

    I'm planning to replace the shocks of my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo and these Black MAX seems to be a good choice. I live near a beach and the streets locally have a lot of potholes and stop bumps. Compared to the other brands, is this the most robust and resilient shock for a softer and firm ride?

      @salesdeptatmorris4x4center71 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Carlos, because this is a Hydro shock it will tend to ride softer, but as well being an off road shock it will handle and absorb harsher road obstacles and off road obstacles better. If you need help selecting the correct shocks you can call us and we can assist you with that.

    In the market for these shocks but i have a right hand drive 07 jeep renegade....will this fit? and which is better for really bad roads...blackmax or monotube?

      Hi DemoRippa
      The orientation of the steering won't effect the shocks, so there's no difference in the application for left or right hand drive vehicles. The overall height of the suspension is going to change the shock, as is the type of terrain you're driving on. Give us a call, and we can fit you into the perfect set of shocks for your rig 877-553-5337!
