    Thanks, Steve! I've been dealing with the same issues different codes. I've had to change the canister purge valve and a sensor that looks exactly similar to the one you're testing just exactly diagonal from that one so now I'm can do some tests to see if the sensor you tested can be the reason why my car keeps stalling, sometimes even when I'm driving... so I thank you again, let us cross our fingers and hope this works!

      Hello Erica, did you fix your issue stalling issue? I’m having a similar issue on my 2013 Ford Fusion. It’s done it a few times, and I hear a buzzing sound for a short period when it’s going to stall, but only thrown out a engine code p144c which is vacuum leak on canister purge valve. I want to know if you were able to resolve that with the replacements you listed.

    • @ericaperez3629
      @ericaperez3629 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whitewine12 man bro it was a headache and a half but we found out it being a heater hose tee that melted off inside the vacuum hoses cause the car to malfunctions. After having to replace everything that the sensor indicated the problems being but now it was a simply 30 buck heat hose tee. I’d check yours just in case if not I replaced the high and low fuel pressure sensors and it ran a lil better. Lmk how everything goes.

      Whitewine12 I’ve had P144C code and stalling on my 2013 Ford Fusion. I addressed the P144C with a brand new purge valve assembly (easy DIY). I also had a failing fuel sensor replaced and that solved my stalling issues.

    • @ericaperez3629
      @ericaperez3629 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey guys long time no talk just wanted to let you guys if you still have issues with the fuel senors. Try checking the heater hose tee located on the right hand side closest the the engine bay. Their we located the plastic pieace melted off in the hoses after replacing the part the car drove fine. Ive had to replace the evap valve; low and high fuel pressure. Turns out it was their more of an issue then we thoight. After replacing the heater hose tea with a more stable part conpared to the standardized part. I was still having probelms with the ac conpressor. It was causing the engine to lag cauing the cars rpms to fluctuate but thats here nor there. Ive already rendered the car due to the fact i forgot to check the car faxs and there being like 20 some odd recalls on that particular car. So life + lesson = learned.

    I wonder if the LP sensor was damaged by the high pressure pump? On BMW specially the N54 engine those LP sensors will read incorrectly but hardly will create any problems. Usually low rail pressure was caused by the HDP pump. So it needed both the HDP and LP sensor some severe cases also the injectors.

    • @superk4562
      @superk4562 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't compare the N54 engine to the Ford engines; the fuel systems work differently; specifically, the HPFP on the N54 is chain driven, and it's regulated differently. It appears from the video above (need to verify) that the HPFP on the Ford is electric. Steve mentions that the HPFP is a pulse width modulated pump (probably to do away with a fuel pressure regulator). A check valve probably prevents HPFP discharge from entering the inlet from the low pressure fuel pump, but I haven't seen a schematic yet. I'll bet this is just a bad batch of faulty sensors produced by the manufacturer.

    Steve I have a 2009 Mercury Mariner 3.0 V6 and I am having the exact same symptoms. When removing the air cleaner, I do not see this low-pressure sensor anywhere. No check engine lights and no codes but the exact same symptoms! Everything I read says the fuel pressure regulator is in the fuel tank. I put a new throttle body on but still have the same symptoms. Would you have any idea what be causing my problems?

      @@VirginiaBoy703 long story short, we never found out what it was. I took it to three different shops the last being an auto electric place. First one came up with 20 codes and he thought it was bad computer but I wanted to be sure. Second place they again scanned it came up with 22 codes. They suggested an auto electric shop so I took it there. He didn’t find anything wrong with it and they tried to pull up codes and nothing no codes. Ran perfectly normal. He said take it home nothing he could do no charge. It’s been running fine not one single time it didn’t crank or stalled out. Mysteriously it was just fine. Been a week since that happened last Thursday.

      More than likely to end up replacing both fuel sensors 1 is under the manifold in the front and the other is up by the battery near firewall im pretty sure. Cause they as a pair tell the car it has way to much fuel pressure when it doesnt the sensor are failing so the cars will trim themselves completely out of fuel.
