I have 500 miles on my CVO ST. It’s sublime. Literally the most complete package the Motor company has released. Everything works beautifully together. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts in this case. I traded my ‘19 CVO SG and it’s a massive upgrade and it’s not just about power, the chassis is so eager and confidence inspiring. The ride modes transform the bike from Jeckell to Hyde, it’s stunning. Ride one and you’ll understand. ✌️
I put a deposit a month ago and got mine the first week of march on a black CVO ST And the only thing I could compare it to in power On the highway is a super bike, a rice rocket. It's crazy. I'm really impressed. You put that thing in track mode unbelievable.
Hey, I'm in Charlotte as well and would love to ride with you sometime. I just got my 2019 Road King and absolutely love it. I am content with what I have, however that Road Glide Sharkskin blue melts me every time I see her. Maybe in a couple of years it will be added to my collection. But first, I'm enjoying "The King"!
I love the Road King. I’ve owned three. And yes, I’d love to ride sometime. I’m always looking for people to ride with. We can meet up on the next warm day
I like what you said about sometimes we just have to be satisfied with what we have. I have a 2012 Roadglide custom that I bought standard back then. Since, ive done tons of upgrades on it. I almost pulled the trigger last year and I'm glad I didnt. I would have had to do all that stuff all over again with a new Harley. Those new harleys are super nice but I personally can't justify the expense associated with a new one and having to do all the upgrades all over again. Good Talk.
It’s possible to get it without dealer markup. Just wait. I refuse to pay markup even if I have to wait. Look at the 23 cvos. They had markups but are now heavily discounted. Feel bad for anyone who paid markup for it. 🙃🙂🙃🙂
I saw it in Daytona at the Harley display at the Speedway. Got one a week later for msrp from Harley Davidson of New Port Richey in Florida. Only have 100 miles on it so far but absolutely love it.
Love my CVO ST. Only complaint is only 6 radio stations can be stored. My RGS had pages of saved favorites and I could scroll. That’s my only complaint. Bike is amazing, smooth, powerful, and a home run. Raven Metallic
I have about 800 miles on my CVOST and I absolutely love it. The only issue that I have is that the software when it starts up is pretty laggy. Sometimes I’m not able to get to the screen because the menu doesn’t show up but I believe it’s a software upgrade issue, I absolutely love the way it rides. This is basically the first bike and I’ve had more than a few that I ever named I’m in love with her this is definitely a keeper. the OG’s that prefer the old gauges I get it but that’s the same way I felt with the old analog, flip phone, and then they came out with the iPhone and after about a year you just had to have the new iPhone same thing gonna happen here😂
Congratulations on the bike!!! I’m sure it’s amazing. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. Enjoy it and ride safe. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought my Road Glide CVO ST unseen, and will be delivered to me tomorrow. I just had to have that bike. I believe with all the upgrades to make it look like the CVO I would spend close to the same money anyway.
Damn....I.just got the 2023 SG ST with upgrades. Something is missing,.but it's a good.bike. This one looks and performs better tho. Decisions decisions decisions.
Absolutely agree with you. We gotta be happy with what we’ve got I own a 22 RGS and I love mine, I’ll wait a few more years to buy it till then ride it like you stole it ✌️
You are spot on about everything in this video I think Harley did a great job on the upgrade and look. But only con I see is I’m an Ultra and Limited guy I will never by a CVO SG or RG they left out those riders and the RK riders so maybe in 2025 they will come out with those keep riding
Bought a Fast Johnnie Road Glide in October, test rode the CVO/ST and it was really nice, the handle bar set up is Perfect on the ST for a person of my stature… but gotta say the floor boards are a bit short near the shifter and brake. That being said, I prefer the Fast Johnnie the only thing I still want to fix on Johnnie is the handle bars, would like something similar to the CVO/ST so long as the gauges do not cover the Infotainment center.
Last year I bought my first big bike. A Kawasaki voyager. I have Ivanized the ECU with a pair of Vance and Hines slip ons. I have been thinking of trading it in on an Indian Pursuit. I think you may be right. Love what you have. Words to live by.
Three reasons Bob won't buy one: 1. Cost 2. Availability 3. Most important - "I love my 2023 RG ST." No reason to upgrade. Be satisfied with what you have. Well... I'm not buying those arguments. Good for you, Bob, and we're waiting for your new video to drop that explains why you decided that 2024 was just calling your name too loudly and you had to have one... ha ha. It could happen! 😀😀😀
@@bobrose3298 Respect for your decision and I understand where you're coming from. I was there, too, for some time, then made the mistake of riding the CVO ST. I should never have done that. No plans... until the plans change. Some can hold the line longer than others, and some can hold the line forever. Best to you in your decisions.
I think the new '24 bikes will kill the trade-in/resale values of the '17-'23 touring motorcycles once dealerships start getting more '24s on the showroom floors. With the advancements on the '24s, along with what essentially equals a drop in price, why would anyone buy a '23 or older bike for $24k-$30k+? Dealerships will have to drop the prices on old stock and used trade-ins to get them off the floors which obviously equates to lower trade-in and private party sales.
While I agree with why you would not trade or buy one there are those of us who bought the CVO ST because of many reasons. The cost to upgrade my ‘23 RGST to a level close to my CVO was within $3500. So 3-5 years down the road which bike is going to hold value better, the CVO. A hard reality for those who spend thousands of dollars on “upgrades” or customization is that bike is worth what the VIN says it is when time to trade or sell. You had better have that bike forever to get your money out of it or find a like minded buyer who loves every mod. you did. I look at my CVO as an “investment”, if you can call a depreciating asset that? Anyways, who cares what others ride and why? Everyone gets the biker wave from me.
I'm sure it's a great bike that rides and runs like crazy. I would be missing all the luxuries of what usually comes with a cvo. Rear speakers. Heated grips. And whatever else is missing. The mirrors are horrible and I'm not a big fan of the carbon fiber parts. Front fender, dash and that thing behind the seat. The colors offered don't really move me either. The main attraction for me is usually the paint and all the options that don't come on a non cvo bike. Just my. 02.
I totally disagree with you. 26000 dollars & 43.000 is a huge step comparing CVO ST, with the mediocre components that it has.. I will post my opinion also here as i done to several youtubers.. The standard Road Glide with 117 engine is the best choice for 2024 ! The CVO ST, you think is faster but the difference is small... because it has a shorter gear. So, shorter faster starts..and you feel is faster..salesmen avoid to tell customers. Throw a cam at the 117 & send into dust the SE cam 121..High Output myas... The difference between the 2 motors are 15 horses.. RD 117 is a clean start up bike to upgrade how you wish.. For 2025 we want RG Standard with the 121 engine with NO SE parts & the inverted fork. Best invest is the 117 engine Road Glide...Let me explain: You can upgrade it with better parts than CVO ST.. Ohlins suspension better from OEM Showa ( is not race special Showa edition - like Ohlins,Wilbers or similar other brand). Engine upgrades - stages from several companies much better from OEM Screaming Eagle...lots of us know SE isn't offer true performance parts. Audio system from Volunteers Audio, huge improvement from any Rokford stages... Exhausts from other companies for better sound, torque & horsepower or beautiness... Only CVO ST, brakes & the inverted fork (still needs upgrade with ohlins springs ) are good... =================================== Why limit your choices to 1 expensive model with mediocre components? ==================================== And what is the gain? 15 - 20 horses? These numbers are to the crank...at the back wheel are around true 115.. 😂😂😂...121 High Output myas... Marketing tricks, don't be fooled....be smart & choose the right one.. Unless you're rich & get the CVO ST...throw exhaust, suspension, SE parts of engine & free the 121 engine potential power. Although, the difference of money between CVO ST & Road Glide can be invested for parts. Result would be far better from any CVO... Even if the cost exceeds the amount of initial ST price, you will have a unique bike with tons of hp, torgue & handling.. CVO ST is just a Road Glide with Screaming Eagle parts.. Showa is a OEM plain suspension.. For my Road Glide i would not spent money to SE.... There are better companies specialized for any need & wish.
I would love to get a new harley. But I have a 2008 fatboy that's paid off and a 2008 ultra classic that has less than 3 grand to pay on and but I would rather have those than get into a 10 hight interest payment right now. And I don't care about performance either the 96 engine is plenty enough for me. Great channel by the way. 🤘💀🤘🍕
