Did you use marine ply, or doesnt it matter if youre going to seal the vinyl? Thanks for the walkthrough!

Great video. Plan to do this with my bathroom as the floorboards beneath are warped or replaced with the incorrect depth chipboard. Will be sanding away the tolerance.
How did you find putting the lino on afterwards? Get under the skirting okay with the extra height or did you have it sit flush with skirting?
    Thanks again

Are the screw heads filled or just left ?

No need to fill if you are using vinyl plank flooring because it has a bit of rigidity. You might want fill holes as a precaution if you are using a roll of lino/vinyl, but it shouldn't make too much difference.

The plywood should be fitted underneath the door "threshold" strip, and the vinyl flooring also should be fitted underneath the door "threshold" strip...!!

Correct, I just didn't want to get involved in cutting the carpet back and risk bending the thresher when removing it

So when the door is closed you have an inch of carpet and a door "threshold"strip in the bathroom. That will look terrible and for the sake of 5 minutes work and a £3 door "threshold" strip your happy to have it wrong...?? I guess that's the difference between DIY GUYS and the Professionals.

Exactly... The "professionals" cut corners and the DIY enthusiasts take/have the time to do it correct. 😉

@5blindknives "Exactly" the opposite of being right...!! The professionals don't cut corners they cut doorways correctly and put "threshold" bars in the correct place..👍
