Thanks for watching! 😃
You're very THOROUGH without being too complicated or cumbersome. ❤ thanks👍
Just the video I needed. You answered every question that I had after buying the same transition strip. You even put a link to the nails you used!
Very good video. As a handy man I’ve taken on many project because of people like you who teach and show us how to do things right the first time. I started my painting business in 2009. And there was always other things that needed to get done in the house. Before painting. So I decided to learn how to do anything that a house needs. For two reason. The time factor. Waiting on other people to get stuff done. 2. Get as much of the dollar out of that house as you can. 3. I know what’s been done. And no surprises as the job moves on. Keeps me working. My motto is. From the crawl space to the roof and all the surrounding property. It’s amazing that I may get the job for one thing and next there are things added as the job goes on. Thanks for all the help people like you give.
Great video and great installation as always. Whoever gets this house after you will be very lucky. You mentioned probably getting a new house so you had more room for your growing family, I'm sure a lot of people would love to watch you fix it up as well. Keep up the good work.
It's my choice, you don't have to worry about it - ha ha ha!
Another project that you make look so simple.
Looking forward to the walk through of the finished, decorated room. TY.
Beautiful clean work. Thank you for showing us easy step-by-step directions.
This was so helpful - thanks!! This is the only video I found that provides clear instruction as to what all the parts are and how to use them.
Thank you so much, I am such a visual person, this explains everything I need to know to do our transitions to tile
Just getting ready to put in transition strip and this is the first video I watched and all I need, Thanks, great video!
Thank you for posting this. I needed to cut the transition strip, and your instructions helped to make the cut perfect!
Grant, your complete instructions and demonstrations are amazing in this video. I learned so much compared to the tiny instructions on the manual KS955. I was a Total loss until I found your video. Keep up the amazing work⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you for this! Helped me figure out how to hold down the shims and channel lock. Also made me realize I needed to break the side off of the shims.
Reminder: When installing the wooden floor, make sure to slide the track underneath the floor. Otherwise, the floor will need to be cut. However, the installation of this transition strip is perfect. Keep up the good work!
Sooooo helpful! I'm getting ready to do our floors.
Just in time. I bought a transition strip for my project too and your video came in handy. Thanks Mr. Fixer.m
Your videos are so helpful. God bless you for sharing your knowledge.
So glad I watched this before I tried!! Excellent video.
You are such a good teacher.
He really is I like his delivery too
Excellent video i learned a lot …sometimes I am asked by customers about the threshold and as you said there’s two types one with the nail and one with the snap in so by explaining all of it so thoroughly I am able to suggest the correct products….thanks again
This flooring is simply the best!!!!! Don’t buy something else and get disappointed!
Thanks! I didn’t even know how to measure for the cut to fit around the corners. Great work 🎉

Thank you sir. This video helped as I’m in the process of laying down LVP in the bathroom and the floor in the bathroom will sit a little higher than the outside floor.
Nice, very nice.
Thanks for taking the time for making this tutorial.
Thanks for watching! 😀
Absolutely fantastic video. I was super skeptical about trying this myself man. I’m a pro now 😂
Thanks! Been putting this off for 2 years since I fixed the subfloor & put new vinyl down. Landlords want to sell, so I want to make it look nice before I go. I didn't quite know how to deal with such a close but not even height. Thanks!
Outstanding video. Thank you for your effort. Albert
Just the video I needed 😮💨
Nice Job !!
Good stuff!
Thanks brother just the video I needed to see.
Very well explained, thank you.

Thanks for the info! I have 3 doorways that need to be redone.
I’ve been around since your Ring doorbell how to… thank you for the insight- this old chick can now get it done!!
I installed that same kind of transition between our kitchen and living room different color vinyl planks. I used 18ga staples in my air stapler, and it cracked the gray plastic in a few places. I should have used nails like you, nice video!
Good 👍 job, buddy, straight up
Life saver man!! thanks for this vid!! Helped me a ton lol
Such a good video! Thank you! I recently installed LVP and the transition strip made no sense to me and I have this exact same kind and wasn't sure if I could cut my already installed LVP to fit the transition piece in the right spot.
Thank you! This is a great help! Blessings
Well done.
Thank you so much
Thank you, thank you!!! Great skills, great video. I am getting ready to put down laminate flooring to several rooms.
The great TEACHER!!
Helpful, thanks sir ❤
I did the same thing installing two different vinyls colors in bedroom and the main room because the first vinyls type was discontinued. I bought those exact transmissions but haven't had a chance to install them yet so your video will greatly help me on this. Thanks!
Awesome, good luck with your project!
Perfect timing! I'm currently finishing up installing my vinyl laminate flooring and having to install my transition strip between my kitchen and living space. I was wondering if I could use my Makita Multi tool to trim off the excess vinyl flooring and your video answered my question. Thanks for your very excellent tutoring!
Nice !
Great Demo!! Thank you.. I'm about to start my own Project YOur Pro Tips gave me More Confidence to Do Mine
Good job man

Glad you like them, thanks!
Great 👍
Perfect
Perfect work
Thanks!
Excellent video. I broke a transition piece because i didnt use a shim. Now i know what those are for...
that's excellent work. I think I can do this
Which is the best way to install on a concrete slab ?
They sell concrete anchors that are similar to drywall anchors. You'd need a hammer drill to drill pilot holes for the anchors, then you just screw the transition base plate into the anchors.
Great job as always! 😁👍
Thanks, Carrie!
You're very welcome! 😊
I've been ill....all better now so I'm back with a hug.....funny we are going to being putting in these next wk perfect timing.
Happy to hear you are feeling better!

@@TheFixerHomeRepair hello
@@jeremynguyen2346 hi
Nice................very helpful.................thanks
Thanks for that
Get over it lol. 😂. Another great video thanks
Best disclaimer ever
Nice.
Depending on the floor height difference, a reducer is needed, ive never used that kind of transition
For a sleeker look, you can get transition strips made from aluminum channel trim colored close to your flooring. Affix to the substrate with construction adhesive, instead of screws. In my case my LVP planks were slightly thicker than the channel so I used a rasp to shave off the rubber backing, which then allowed the edge of the plank to slide into the channel. In my area the trim is sold at HD and is made by TrimMaster. A 5 star rated product if you know how to use it.
Can you share a link to that product pls?
This was the only option at HD, and I wish the profile was less apparent. Is the aluminum transition slimmer?
@@d3ltabrav0 Oh yes, the aluminum transition strip is only 1/2 inch wide and rises a scant 1/16 inch above the vinyl planks. Basically, no hump. In my local HD stores in Virginia the aluminum strips are sold in the same aisle as the vinyl planks but are poorly displayed (IMO) and easy to miss. They're 84 inches long and the various colors and styles are sorta jumbled together in a 3 foot piece of PVC that is strapped upright to a leg of the display racks. YT doesn't allow posting a link but if you search HD for "Aluminum Vinyl Floor Transition Strip" it should come up for you -- unless your local store doesn't sell them. But one can change the store location to other zip codes -- 20194 for example. Good luck!.
Great video. I installed this same transition recently. the hardest part was snapping the transition piece onto the underneath piece. it was really hard to do. you made it look easy.
same, i almost broke the transition strip (bought at HD, maybe that's part of the problem, transition strips shouldn't be that hard to get into the channel); i couldn't get the transition strip to properly sit, clipped into the channel underneath. I ended up glueing the transition to the channel and pushed it down best i could. I can't afford to purchase 7 more channels at $50 a pop, only to find out they don't clip in properly either. Probably my error, but should it really be that difficult to snap in?
I am from brazil !!!VERY cool work !
Thanks for watching! 😃
Great job boss I like to do this kind of jobs I do repair and improvements I like that details thanks for teach
