Having watched many, many (many) NYC apartment videos, I must say that this apartment is vastly superior to any other at that price in NYC. I'll qualify that, depending on its proximity to the subway and to any of the clubs, stores and restaurants that draw people to the city. But all that space and light!
Thank you for watching! Every week there will be a new video around living in New York City. I'll make sure to comment back to everyone and take in all feedback. :)
I watch Cash Jordan daily and I’ve learnt a lot about NY apartments but this is one of THE NICEST places I’ve seen in NY!! Stunning layout! Soooo much natural light and really lovely furnishing!
I cannot imagine how hard it would be to live in NYC if I were myself. Those monthly dues are like my six years of savings on my side of the planet. Anyway, I won't focus on that. We have different housing conditions and standards of living (each country). So the apartment looks so gorgeous, very clean, very spacious, and well lighted. Aaron made sure this house is very "I want to go home now" Also with regards to editing how the video interview did not make people like me awkward or envious just simply enjoying a house tour and imagining how to make my own "I wanna go home place". I'm liking this TH-cam. thank you Caleb and Aaron for sharing your home! PS. Can you do the hunted house tour hahahaahhhaahahahah
@@thihaaung520 You make more money in nyc though. My friends in the restaurant industry in nashville are clearing 25/hr easy so 3-4k/month and in nyc you're bound to make more than that if you're good at literally anything so it balances out.
You would have an NYC job with an NYC salary if you lived in NYC.... it makes no sense to think about it in terms of your local pay. I've lived in Thailand, Canada, and US. In Thailand, I was paying $150 USD for rent per month... but I was making $1100/month. In Canada, I was paying $900 USD for rent per month... but I was making $5500/month. I'm back in NYC (where I'm from), my rent is $3000/month... but I make $15000/month. Same exact job in all 3 places.
Amazing appartment! I would definitely turned the neglected space upstairs into a second office. It seems a shame to place a computer right next to the bed when there is so much spare space left. But the whole appartment is a big Wow!
I love this apartment! It’s pretty inexpensive for the size and the bedroom downstairs was pretty nice with large ceiling so overall it’s still pretty good for $2900. I need info on it so when I move then I can rent it!
About the ghost thing... I live in a 55 year old apartment, so not that old, in fact, I still feel it very new compared to 100-150 year old homes. Anyways, once I was brushing my hair in front of the mirror at 5 a.m. and I heard a whispering in my ear that said "You have such nice hair". No one else was in the apartment, the door was very well locked, and the windows and curtains were closed.
I enjoyed the tour! Thank you so much for producing it! That bedroom has such height that I’d try to build a loft bed. Too bad you didn’t get to tour the haunted house!
Such a nice place! It bugged me how that upstairs space wasn’t fully utilized. They could put a guest bedroom, area to get ready like do makeup (free up bathroom space), or another office!
Interesting to see such houses in NYC.Im from Singapore 🇸🇬and its amazing to see these apartments having creative layouts despite the land constraint. Typically where i’m from, every apartments looks almost the same. Thank you for giving an insight on what is like to live in the other side of the world ❤
I always thought New York was crazy expensive ,but actually I was surprised it is a lot cheaper than I thought .I live in northern,California and our rent here is just as expensive if not more expensive my daughter pays 3,000 a month for a tiny one bedroom . You cannot get ANY apt here for less than 2,500.

Know exactly where this apartment was just from the thumbnail picture. All of the apartments right by Martinez playground look the same it’s wild, all are lofted with this big windows. Great spot dude seems cool too.
I love the apartment! 😍 I’m glad there were people turning you down at viewing their apartments that day … I’d need at least day to clean and neaten mine! 😅
This seems like a steal for nyc.. especially since they could have a much better layout that utilizes the space even more. It could be a dream! Also would totally put a projector for that huge wall in the bedroom
Funny thing when those folks list their apartment prices, keep in mind they are paying that with a roomate or two at least. So none are actually likely renting the apartment on their own at the prices they mention. Yikes.
Fair point…I figured this had to be Covid pricing if the total rent was $2900 or they forgot to say it was rent controlled or something because you never would get this for that money otherwise
I live alone in LA the rent is 1700 for a 1bedroom which is cheap considering most apartments start at 2grand an if rent a room they start 1200 bones the average house starts at 700,000 its nuts however we pay the sun !!
The option of giving them a few hours before the tour should result in more viewings. My place is a mess on a random day, but it's not as a big a mess than some light cleaning taking 15-20 minutes won't fix.
Small but nice and for where it is but small but… Idk I live in California (Downtown Long Beach) 2bed 2bath condo near the beach… wash/dryer, dish washer, underground parking (2 spaces), 3 showers (walk in and a shower with tub in master bedroom with his and hers sinks), 2 bath, gated (with intercom) balcony in each room, pet friendly, fireplace and we pay $2200 a month… The guy that owns the condo set it at that price because we definitely would have paid more but he was cool with what he set. Some were 2500 which still isn’t bad for downtown. We know California gets stupid expensive but NY is straight up crazy af but I love the way NY looks the big buildings and all, I never been… I want to go one day.
solve the bathroom timeshare conundrum by turning the peloton graveyard into her walk in closet and glamour nook with a clothing rack and a thrifty vanity. chromecast and a vertical projector makes the empty wall space in the bedroom the coziest cinema. turn that castle into a palace your majesties
Well getting a tour of the apartment is hard because it's last minute and you wanted it that day 😂 people need to clean up first or have no plans prior.
And he's also a total stranger. Even if my apt was clean and I had no plans, I'd probably say no to some random dude asking to come to my house for a "tour".
I don't understand why you thought it was unbelievable that no one wanted to let you see their home. Yeah, with a couple of days notice, but not just on the spot lol.
Those rent prices sound like a bargain compared to the Phx area now! Maybe rent prices have decreased because everyone is leaving NYC. Everyone from Cali has come to Az which has made real estate insane.

2,900 doesn’t seem that bad for a nice 1 bedroom Apt in NYC with super high ceilings. Same rate here in San Diego with less space.
