  • Hi Everyone. Sometimes you have to take a hammer to something to be able to make something else with it. See why I am smashing up my resin with a hammer and what I make with it once it is in pieces.

I love this tip. Most artists don't mention using these bits for other projects. Also, you can use your left over silicone chunks as filler when making new molds. Saves on new silicone.

That gold glitter one with the stunning blue in it was so, so beautiful and it was my favourite of the lot! I also liked the clear long one with the bigger shards in it and the one with the dots, which made me think of eyes. I think using extra or spill over resin as mosaic is a really good idea. Imagine a coffee table filled with black mica resin and dotted throughout with shards of broken resin in either many colours or only in a colour family. I think that would look utterly intense, I would make shards in gold and turquoise just for that reason Lol. Ideas are flowing Steve, ideas are definitely flowing! God bless you

Before you said anything when you were just 're moulding them, my favourite right away was the glitter one, it fills in the empty spaces so well but makes the resin look beautiful colours.
Have you tried coming both sides, I have and it works out great like I had a little fish I put in one, at an angle, it makes it look like the fish is swimming up the bowl, I had it in two colours so each side was a different colour fish swimming up a clear bowl. I now wish I had kept that one but I have it away as a present!!!
    Hugs x Ann x

They turned out awesome. I don't have much experience with resin....yet. However this is exactly what I did with my first few "fails" or scraps. I saved them broke them up and put them into other projects which turned out amazing! Thank you for another fun artsy inspirational vid. ♥️

I love those black ones, they're so beautiful. I had a thought, a black base (or red, or blue, or any darker color) with the clear drips that you save from the mats put in would look interesting. Just a thought.

  • @CraftescapeTX

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Wonderful idea and gorgeous pieces! I think the gold glitter is my favorite one. This reminds me years ago I did a resin experiment with a very thin pour and ended up with pieces peeling/flaking apart identical to mica! So of course I turned them into faux mica flakes and used them in other projects. 😀
Always fun finding new ways to use up all the scraps!

Hi Steve. This is such a great idea, and they're all so pretty. I really love the glitter one. I'm not going to be doing any resin pours, but now that I've seen you do this project with leftover pieces, I plan on purposely making leftover pieces. I'm just going to pour any resin that's left in my cups onto a mat, mix a few of the colors together, and then after they cure, break them up and make jewelry pieces with them just like you did. I can't wait to see your next projects on both of your channels. Thankx for another great idea; you're the best.
