Labradorite is my favorite stone (I even have it in my engagement ring) and it is STARTLING how much these look like the real thing! The only tiny suggestion, if I might make one, is to mix some of the nail powder into the clear UV resin as well. The “flash” in labradorite goes all the way through the stone so it might add just one extra dash of magic! Still, absolutely gorgeous and if you hadn’t told me they were resin I’d have never known!

I would also try to use a needle to create "scratches" with the greyish resin from the first layer, once you've added the clear resin in the middle. You've gotten an amazing result but the real scratches are often thicker and more irregular. The real labradorites also often have dark splotches. But again, amazing result, probably the best fake labradorites I've seen so far (counting resins and paintings here)

Time. 1:03 a.m. I love labradorite . I use it in jewelry making
The one you liked the least, the first teardrop, was one of the better ones. The marks are quite prominent in the real stone. Labradorite also has pink, orange and gold added in small amounts to the blue colors. Yours are very good. I think they are beautiful. I'm very inspired to make them myself

Wow! Labradorites are my favorite stone and I think it would be very difficult to tell the difference between the real thing! Actually, I think the only difference would be that so many real stones have like one little good spot that you can only see if you hold at a certain angle and with yours the ENTIRE surface is iridescent and at any angle. LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!

I know exactly what you mean when you say that there’s just something about it that you can’t readily identify. I’ve made Stained Glass windows for Temples, Resorts, Basketball Stars and even a once popular TV Series (which they shattered.. of course :) And even tho the clients were happy, it was rare that I was completely satisfied with a piece. I also have symmetry issues😆 which really wasn’t helpful unless.. I was designing and creating a Frank Lloyd Wright piece.😂 Anyway, I think feeling that way is pretty normal.. maddening but, normal.😊 Your Labradorite is really beautiful Daniel.❤

Lovely. All of these are stunning 🤩 ~I wonder if after the scratch part when you used the eye shadow pad to get rid of the dust, if maybe that filled the scratches back in a bit. A little puff to blow off the excess or maybe nothing bc it’ll be behind the colors. I just know when I saw the eye shadow application thingy come back out I was thinking it would be a reapplication of the powders in the cracks. That’s a mouthful to say😂 but I’m sure you get the jist. Great idea to use UV right in the middle of the 2 part resin. Thanks for sharing 🌹🌹 edit: I have the mold. Love this stone, they all look fab! A fine nib black sharpie pen should work to get some of the black lines, scratching is very effective however - don't go over the lines as you can lift or smudge the original ones away. Just watched a video using UV Clay, not rare what brand. I'm sure your viewers would be interested in you experimenting with it, perhaps Let's Resin might be interested in making their own uv clay? Looks good, you can roll it, shape it, push it into moulds, add ink, glitter & powder and it sets just like normal resin. 😊

Would a ball tool dipped in alcohol pulled across the piece in places work. I would think it would lift up some of the powder leaving lines which would then appear black due to top coat of black. Just idea. You could then make some lines wavy if you wanted to ??? 🤔🤔

I adore labradorite but it is hard to find with that perfect flash. If you do, it is very expensive. Especially love the blue flash you have created. Thanks for seeing it through to the end. You have done it!

Use a dremmel to make the scratches. With the incrave parts. Then you can make more natural lines. Without pressure. I think these look very beautyfull. My favorite stone.
