I've been listening to Brian Tracy among others for almost 40 years. I've been selling for 43 years and in the beginning things were rough. I sold life insurance, cemetery plots, encyclopedias, time shares and accounting services, and I literally was the worst salesman of these products. I was always the guy on the bottom. What was the reason? I joined those companies for one reason, that being to make a lot of money. Intrinsically I didn't believe in these products in my heart. I remember that we were forced to sell whole life insurance vs term insurance because of the commission structure. Bottom line is My heart was not in it. In 1989 I started selling lawn irrigation systems and I started as my own business. I just loved the product, I loved the convenience and I loved everything about it. I have become so good at it that I took 6 months off in the winter for the last 18 years and spend the off times in the tropics. My recommendation find a product or service which you really believe in your heart and then it's not work to sell it because you enjoy it.
45 minutes of the most important tactics a sales person can find. do not let your beliefs and minds get in the way. listen and learn what he talks about.
It just occured to me that the universe aligned me to this woderful person Mr. Brian Tracy when I realized that my mother's marketing success was because of her success in the psychology of selling and I blurted these words out of nowhere. ANd now I'm here with the very man who wrote the best-selling business book ever entitled "The Psychology of Selling". Amazing..

The best bit is when he said "He Forced salespeople to go out and spend more time face to face with customers" Then what usually happens, the managers become jealous of the money they are making so they cut the commission and the cycle has peaked.

I’ve been faulted for being too matter of fact in my art sales.. “What is the wall size in the space your thinking of hanging this?” It’s more difficult for me sharing my personal feelings about a piece I created. I have decided that if a client loves the painting they will buy it. I do know I have sacrificed many sales since I’m not a closer. I see it all over their face they WANT me to push them forward. 👩🎨
