I charge $180 p/h for my solution, and I have many clients. Yes I sell a solution, but I have credentials to back that solution up. What do you sell divergentdeva?
Selling high dollar items - investments, real estate, high-end cars, etc. - is much harder when you are very very young. I bet in 1985 that Myron was in his 20's. With some experience, the older you get the better you are at selling, because people trust in your maturity and age and experience (even if perceived), and less about what they are buying. Your own life experience allows you to shift into ANY conversation outside of the selling process. Today I was speaking to an ex-MLB player. I didn't offer my card or any services. We talked about baseball. We talked about travel. We talked about his life... even how some cars are just over rated. Then HE asked ME to do business. I never sold. I never offered. I stated what I did and we had a human conversation. Sometimes... most of the time... selling is about empathy and conversation and not about negotiating or pushing a product/service.
As Earl Nightingale said in his book "The Strangest Secret" the street's are full of people who require service's... We just need to start serving people, that's all in my opinion
@@agopinaik1 All people eat, drink, they need clothing, they need a haircut, and the list go on... You just need to find a service that you are able to do (or you can invest into learning a new skill). Find a service that people need all the time, that will bring you constant income. Hope it helps :)
*Lessons for sellers* 1. Don't be desperate for sales, the act of desperation chases would-be buyers away 2. Give away good stuff for free, every good deed is a good seed - this is the Farmer's Method 3. Reciprocity works 4. Put out content, your stuff across content channels so people can find you - but don't be desperate for sales 5. Don't be desperate for sales 6. It's always about the people, not you - don't be desperate for sales 7. The wider you go with your content, the luckier you're going to get 8. A question turns into an objection if you let it go unanswered 9. Do not try to convince people - people will convince themselves, let them decide what to do next 10. Stop trying to get people to buy - don't be desperate for sales. To be continued.
So what I am gathering so far is sales has nothing to do with convincing people but everything to do with relationship building through content creation so that you connect with potential customers who are already prepared to buy.
I see sales as occurring when you offer higher than expected value to the client at a price you are prepared to sell at, and they are prepared to pay. Once the client can justify your offer as giving them value they will buy.
Why people don't sell is because the people to whom they sell to don't have the need to buy. it's as simple as that. Don't try to sell what people don't need, don't trick people into buying stuff they don't need. Sell what people need and you'll see you will sell more than you hoped for
And what if the customer doesn't know yet that they need your service but doesn't want to listen. You know you can help them but they don't care about the problem despite the fact that the problem is a big problem.
Not exactly true, there’s still a psychology to persuasion You need to know how to persuade even just to get people to buy something they could really use People buy things they don’t need actually shouldn’t all the time (candy, cigarettes, excessive alcohol, etc) And people DON’T buy things that could actually benefit them all the time too (books, courses, coaching, etc) until persuaded to do so Persuasion is not a bad thing when selling something that could actually help people

I've been pushing The Law of Averages for 13 of the 15 1/2 years that I've been in sales and 12 years of the restaurant business. I stopped getting pissed about the number of people not tipping and started concentrating on the number of tables I turned.
The sad thing is people will go support businesses that arw total strangers for years but when you start a small business of some sort they don't want to support you in your business the same way.. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Amen ...every deed is a seed. I follow someone that teach to read labels. When I decided to purchase products, I did so through her. Why, because she did not dangle a carrot. She taught good valuable information for free, therefore, I will support her. Many others I followed promote the same product, but my loyalty is to her for good deed.
- stop trying to sell / convince people - law of averages - give free value (content) as community service - sell to people who need your help - be a happy buyer - never allow room for objections - close for them on the spot
Hello Money Making Community, my name is Emanuel, and I’m rather relatively new to the understanding of the world of e-commerce in its functionality and application in the real world over all. I was wondering if all possible, would someone like yourself, in the same pursuit path, be willing to communicate back with me in regard to possible growth towards e-commerce. We could brainstorm and share ideas as well as possibly learn from one another. Please feel free to reach back. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.
Sales Tip: If a prospect says, "I'm thinking about going with someone else. Why should I choose you over them?" respond with: “If you’re not convinced by what we’ve discussed so far, go with them. Maybe they’re a better fit for you.” The key is to never sound desperate-people can sense neediness. It’s important to convey that you’re not desperate for the sale because you don’t need them; they need you. Law of Averages: The more presentations you make, the more sales you close. Combine this with the law of large numbers-you’ll know exactly how much effort it takes to hit your sales targets. Being aware that you don’t need to close every single sale actually makes it easier to close more. Closing Sequence: Start with a question: “What did you like most about the presentation?” Listen to their response, then ask: Handle questions: “What questions do you have?” Address their concerns, then ask again: “What other questions do you have?” Keep repeating this until their questions are resolved-usually around seven times-then they’ll be ready to buy. Objections are just unanswered questions that have been left to fester. The goal is to resolve them through conversation. Guiding the Close: Start by asking, “Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?” (This triggers the law of reciprocity-they’ll naturally say they don’t mind.) Then ask: “What appeals to you more: building a highly successful business, creating generational wealth for your family, doing it in the next 3-5 years, or both?” Most will say "both" because it’s the last option they hear. Follow with, “If you had the opportunity to start benefiting from both sooner or later, would you choose sooner or later?” (They’ll likely say "sooner.") Final Steps: Get their commitment with simple, direct questions: “How do you spell your first name? Last name?” “The initial payment is $5,000. Most people use Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Which card are you using today?” Then confirm the details: “Great, what’s the number?” Explain the next steps, such as receiving an email with wire instructions, onboarding details, and access to the service. This structure guides the prospect smoothly through the decision-making process while minimizing resistance, making it easier to close the deal.
Just so people know at 2:57 i rewind it back twice that resonates so much. You had to teach yourself by selling to these many ppl which is the 20 people. However you have to be passionate about NOT Winning a Sale. Makes sense great gems
Wow! I had to pause the video to mention that: 1. I hate phone calls, 2. I am good at sales, because I don’t sell (I find out what people want and present it to them), and 3. I am a firm believer that EVERYTHING is a seed, and that all seeds grow crop, good or bad… I love the way you think. And yes, I too stumbled on to your video, but its title “persuaded” me to watch. 😏
That sales call structure only works with super warm traffic like yours, anything going from cold to a VSL/webinar, that's definitely not the best strategy to get the highest close %
If I watched this talk when I was 20, my life would drastically changed to a better situation by now. It's tough, but I learnt everything from all the bad examples around me and figure everything out myself which is a time consuming process. I thank you for the service you're doing for new generations. I appreciated your contribution to the humanity.

This is absolute gold! Thank you for the reminders and new perspectives. I'm in community organizing and sooooo many people don't understand that we are also in SALES!
I think that community organizing can be viewed as a form of sales. The purpose of CO is to inform, educate, enlighten people to understand and support a cause or position...to change one's behavior...and to take certain actions so a desired result is delivered...and to train new CO from their experience.
@@gpac711 Absolutely. Thank you for breaking it down in that fashion as well. I learned that Sales can be a transfer of belief. I definitely feel like we have to maintain a belief that communities DO have the power to make changes. The minute we lose that belief is the minute we become a liability to a community.

Love this content. I wish we had TH-cam and Uncle Myron to watch 40 years ago when I was cutting my teeth learning to sell. We are all sales people regardless if you sell for a living. If you work for someone, you sold your services to your employer. If you are married, you sell your spouse on why you should buy a new car or house. We are all selling everyday. Great video for everyone to watch.
Hi Myron, Another great video, I’ve been getting back into my books and I know next year will be my year. Your right about the sales- I worked in real estate and did not have to do too much to convince buyers to buy…they already knew what they wanted, if they were serious about buying. Thank you so much for your videos. I’m definitely always “picking up what you are putting down”😊😂
Weird. I've just started a new business giving people the opportunity to build a free screenwriting portfolio. It's difficult getting people to the website, but there's a high conversion to sign-up when they do arrive. Ad's everywhere are too expensive. I've decided to start podcasting/YouTubing just giving free advice. I'm not the best speaker but I'm going to do it anyway and just get better. This was a great video to watch because it aligned with my ideas right now. We attract what we think. I attracted this video. Great talk Myron! Although I would never be comfortable closing on the spot. I know people that have paid for stuff on the spot that later regret it and feel they've been made a fool of. I like people to be able to think in their own time. Just a personal preference from growing up working class and seeing people giving their money away for promises that didn't live up to the sales talk.

Absolutely spot on about objections. These are questions you haven't addressed in your presentation. I've been banging on about this for years.

- Someone will buy
- Improve your conversion rate
- Repeat
The sad thing is people will go support businesses that arw total strangers for years but when you start a small business of some sort they don't want to support you in your business the same way..

Gold! Learned as a young fella about "Gods law of compensation" so the seed analogy makes sense.
this man must be protected at all costs
IF you can sell it THEY will buy it.
Myron instinctively understands bending time and realty great chap
Two years, either the sales office was crappy, everybody else quit or this guy is a genius
This is great REAL practical advice, no BS. Thank you Myron. I enjoy and appreciate your content. It really helps people.
I'm thankful to find this!! Appreciate the wisdom!! Subscribed.....
Thank you Mr. Golden. I needed this.
- stop trying to sell / convince people
- law of averages
- give free value (content) as community service
- sell to people who need your help
- be a happy buyer
- never allow room for objections
- close for them on the spot
Hello Money Making Community, my name is Emanuel, and I’m rather relatively new to the understanding of the world of e-commerce in its functionality and application in the real world over all. I was wondering if all possible, would someone like yourself, in the same pursuit path, be willing to communicate back with me in regard to possible growth towards e-commerce. We could brainstorm and share ideas as well as possibly learn from one another. Please feel free to reach back. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.
Excellent instructions!! Thanks Uncle Myron! Blessings!
Sales Tip: If a prospect says, "I'm thinking about going with someone else. Why should I choose you over them?" respond with:
“If you’re not convinced by what we’ve discussed so far, go with them. Maybe they’re a better fit for you.”
The key is to never sound desperate-people can sense neediness.
Closing Sequence:
Start with a question:
“What did you like most about the presentation?”
Listen to their response, then ask:
Handle questions:
“What questions do you have?”
Address their concerns, then ask again:
“What other questions do you have?”
Keep repeating this until their questions are resolved-usually around seven times-then they’ll be ready to buy.
Objections are just unanswered questions that have been left to fester. The goal is to resolve them through conversation.
Guiding the Close:
Start by asking, “Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?” (This triggers the law of reciprocity-they’ll naturally say they don’t mind.) Then ask:
“What appeals to you more: building a highly successful business, creating generational wealth for your family, doing it in the next 3-5 years, or both?”
Most will say "both" because it’s the last option they hear.
Follow with, “If you had the opportunity to start benefiting from both sooner or later, would you choose sooner or later?”
(They’ll likely say "sooner.")
Final Steps:
Get their commitment with simple, direct questions:
“How do you spell your first name? Last name?”
“The initial payment is $5,000. Most people use Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Which card are you using today?”
Then confirm the details:
“Great, what’s the number?”
Explain the next steps, such as receiving an email with wire instructions, onboarding details, and access to the service.
This structure guides the prospect smoothly through the decision-making process while minimizing resistance, making it easier to close the deal.
SHOW PEOPLE YOU CAN HELP THEM BY ACTUALLY HELPING THEM.
Just so people know at 2:57 i rewind it back twice that resonates so much. You had to teach yourself by selling to these many ppl which is the 20 people. However you have to be passionate about NOT Winning a Sale. Makes sense great gems
Wow! I had to pause the video to mention that:
1. I hate phone calls,
2. I am good at sales, because I don’t sell (I find out what people want and present it to them), and
3. I am a firm believer that EVERYTHING is a seed, and that all seeds grow crop, good or bad…
I love the way you think. And yes, I too stumbled on to your video, but its title “persuaded” me to watch. 😏
Don't let questions turned into objection. 🔥🔥
Ok, I'm humbled by this message. It is so deep and so ok point in regards to my life... I'm almost teary eyed
Yes, I share you're videos with my kids.
You are honorary paw-paw ❤❤❤ We home school and this channel is vital for us.😂
❤
That sales call structure only works with super warm traffic like yours, anything going from cold to a VSL/webinar, that's definitely not the best strategy to get the highest close %
True
7:45 powerful content! Sowing good seeds in the garden of your future! Boom!
Thank you Myron. 🙏 You are awesome and your content is great 💯💯 Thanks to share your journey with us. Thumbs Up from Brazil, yeeeh! 👍👍👍
Thank god I discovered this guy. Mindblowing communication skills!
If I watched this talk when I was 20, my life would drastically changed to a better situation by now. It's tough, but I learnt everything from all the bad examples around me and figure everything out myself which is a time consuming process. I thank you for the service you're doing for new generations. I appreciated your contribution to the humanity.
I didnt know this man but what he told was so great and amazing..he talked from his heart and we can feel it
Mr Golden, I don't know if you will ever see this but I want to thank you. I was introduced to you today & I've been watching your videos. I'm a pastor's wife of 35 years & a Realtor for 18. I am going to start doing videos because I have learned things people need to know. I've been too unsecure to do it in the past but I am determined to do it now.
i didn’t watch the video, i just saw the thumbnail and wanted to comment what an awesome beard that is.
(ok, i stayed for the lesson)
Thank you, Myron 🙏
For all your free advice on TH-cam. God bless you, richly. Live long and prosper 😊 Much love 🌹😊🙏
Greed is a mortal sin for a very good reason.
I felt this. Thank You Uncle
This is absolute gold! Thank you for the reminders and new perspectives. I'm in community organizing and sooooo many people don't understand that we are also in SALES!
Clever name! Almost thought you were actually Diplo lolz
@@djpolo99 I find such forums as this one hosted by Myron Golden allows for respectful and honest exchange of ideas to improve ourselves and those around us. Hope to continue this healthy dialogue with you. And should we disagree, that it is done with understanding differences with the goal of seeking common ground. Glad to have met you DJ and look forward to becoming a regular participant of Myron Golden's forums.
I so needed this. I have been trying hard to sell on EBay and was kinda discouraged but this has taught me a lot. Thank you!🙏
Honestly I don’t how I came across Mr. Myron, but he kept showing up on my TikTok. I’ve been wanting to make a change and my thought process on how I view money 🤦🏾♀️. Just listening to Mr. Myron, has put my mind into a different perspective. Thank you 😊
All I can say is wowwwww. This information was unlike any other I've stumbled across as a boutique owner. I am definitely going to sit down and brainstorm how to make all these gems work for my business. I am a new subscriber and will be watching more videos as I am seeking to learn and grow my business.
This is golden, Myron. Thank you for this great video. Watching from Zimbabwe.
Beautiful country. Was there about 20 years ago. Would love to go back.
Me 😂😂😂😂 I tell everybody about my uncle Myron
You mean OUR uncle Myron?😂
No fr 😂😂😂❤
lol, facts
Exactly, lol@@arthurtalk
@arthurtalk I’m sure that was a typo! 😅❤. Clearly he’s our unc too lol 😂.
You have a fantastic personality!! I just found your channel and I’m excited to continue to learn from you, thank you for sharing 🥳
Uncle Myron go hard. 💪🏿
priceless . I realized Im doing this .. late in my career. The reason for my success :)
Boss moves change my life!
Hi Myron, Another great video, I’ve been getting back into my books and I know next year will be my year. Your right about the sales- I worked in real estate and did not have to do too much to convince buyers to buy…they already knew what they wanted, if they were serious about buying. Thank you so much for your videos. I’m definitely always “picking up what you are putting down”😊😂
Yes uncle Myron! You are so damn right!
I will forever binge watch your content🔥🔥. I’m tracking!
80% of success is just showing up. If you just put the work in time is your ally.

Most good trainers and coaches sucked when they started
Amazing stuff ! Love the farming & seeds analogy !
Awesome video Uncle Myron...lol... From Cape Town, South Africa.
Don't Sell, think of selling as helping.
Thanks so much for sharing this video. God bless you.
Sure do call you uncle Myron!!!!! Lol love your teachings. 🙌🏾
