Upgrade your Trackpad to Windows Precision Trackpad || Windows 10 Touchpad Gestures

- Here's a simple laptop hack to make your laptop trackpad or touchpad way better! A software trick to improve accuracy, scrolling and gestures on your Windows laptop.
These Drivers were not exactly meant to work the way we are going to use them but I have tested these drivers on many Windows 10 Laptops and they worked fine. Nevertheless you can take backup of your old drivers before updating, if something should go wrong!
Instructions:
1 - Figure out which type of trackpad you have in Device Manager
2 - Download one of these files from Lenovo
Elan Trackpads:
support.lenovo.....
Synaptics Trackpads: support.lenovo....
3 - Run the downloaded file to extract the contents to - C:/Drivers
4 - In Device Manager - Right click Elan Touchpad or Synaptics Touchpad
5 - Click on Update Driver - Browse my computer - Let me pick - Have Disk
6A - For Laptops with Elan drivers choose ETD.inf
6B - For Laptops with Synaptics drivers choose SynPD.inf
7 - Reboot
8 - Profit

Razer Blade Stealth
Razer Blade 14
Some Hp Envy devices
Some HP x360 devices
Most Hp Pavillion devices
Most new Asus Gaming Laptops running Elan drivers
Most Dell Inspiron devices
Most Lenovo devices (of-course it is a lenovo driver!)

If it's showing hid complaint mouse then it's your touchpad mine also showed this u can check by right clicking and properties

YO guys, the gestures were not working for my lenovo so i just clicked update drivers, waited a few min and now i have gestures!
Which Lenovo do you have? I am having some trouble with my ideapad s340, it is brand new. I am not sure if it is my unfamiliarity or the touchpad.

Can I use an Apple Magic Trackpad 2 with Windows Precision Trackpad drivers and be able to use all gestures with 3 or 4 finers?
i dont think so but i think you can use an apple magic keboard and OFCAURSE YOU CANNOT USE APPLE TRACKPAD SHORTCUTS ON WINDOWS cause it doesnt support them and did you missed the g letter in fingers at this comment??

I have a lenovo ideapad s145 and under mice and pointing devices it is HID-compilant mouse... what does it mean?
Does not work on SONY VAIO. The settings are Available in the menu But it’S too Slow . It works like 1cm when i slip My Finger all the way up on touchpad. It works Even if i turn off the touchpad. Does nothing FOR My vaio

How did you manage to have an .inf file run as an executable? This file just shows up as an info sheet in notepad for me.
u dont open it in file explorer, but when u go into device manager to update the driver of ur trackpad

@@AhmadAlKhateeb OK the installation went well but the touchpad didn't show as Windows precision touchpad. I restored my PC to previous and tried it with another website which told me to use Autorun instead of SynapTD file. After restart it finally worked! It showed as Windows precision touchpad! But everytime when i boot up my laptop, i need to go to the mouse options to activate the touchpad as Windows precision touchpad. Anyways you've made a great job. Keep it up! ;)
