I have a Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15API. I installed the drive, it stopped working, I proceed to the other steps, but I couldn't install the driver again to make it through 18 and 19 steps. Help
Did you follow the steps after the restart. You're supposed to install the driver once again. If you want to go back to the old one. When updating the driver, do Browse from my computer and choose the old one. Then, restart.
I installed it on my lenovo z50-75 and it worked fine immediately. But after like 20-80min all the tap actions (single finger, 3/4 finger) and scroll velocity stopped working. It only goes back to normal when doing a cold restart, until it stops working again. Any ideas why this can happen?
I have hp pavillion 15, and when installed synaptic I got all the settings in touchpad. But the touchpad is not working. Restarted multiple time still not working. Plz help
Did you also follow the extra steps at the end? After restarting it usually doesn't work, so you go and install it once again at Device Manager but from Manual. If it still doesn't work, re-install back your older touchpad driver. At Update Driver Manually, select your old driver.

@@BredzPro nvm it was much more complicated than that my laptop has stupid custom button which does F22 which I tried to rebind coincidentially triple tap also generates F22 key and that's the only reason it did not work.
I have tested it on my Lenovo laptop. This is more of a trial & error approach, thus if you have a spare mouse, you can give it a try. If the touchpad stops working, you can uninstall it (or revert to the old driver) with the mouse.
There is no "universal" precision driver. Which means that every laptop has its own one. You can download it from the manufacturer's website. The one I show in the video is a driver which happens to work in older devices too. So I suggest you stick with it.
I couldn't find a specific driver for Dell. I suggest you try the ones I provided in the description (keep a mouse near you) and if they don't work, just downgrade to the older (default) driver.
I haven't tested it on that driver. You can give it a try. Make sure you have a mouse with you in case the touchpad stops working. If it does, you can "Update Manually" the driver and select the old one to revert.

You can uninstall the driver and restart.
Or update it and choose to select from the drivers already installed. Install the old one.

What if triple tap is not working while literally all other combos do? It was working before. Lenovo Y520.
The driver probably doesn't recognize triple-tap for your specific model. Did you check at Windows Settings (not the touchpad software)?
