Sea fishing Shoreham for black bream

- Beach fishing for black bream at Shoreham beach in front of Widewater lagoon. Fished two rods one at distance with big fish bait on pennel setup hoping for an Undulate Ray.
Second rod closer with two hook scratching rig baited with black lug.
Caught one of the target species being Black Bream. Fished tide out for two hours and then all the way back in, weather baking hot with light onshore breeze and the bream came out to play. All fish returned.
Well done Bill or is it Ben, you flower pot man. I remember catching black bream from Shoreham arm float fishing with a carp rod 45yrs ago, happy days. Nice video, thank you Paul for sharing with the great uncatchers.
Hi Fellow, felt a bit of a pillock hitting the pots but they were in such a place that a pedal cart trying to turn would have hit them. 45 years ago on Shoreham arm wow where has all the time gone. I can remember lazy days down there with my uncle when the fish were always bigger. Really appreciate the comments cheered up my start to the the day cheers Paul

We use to have mini competitions for bream on the arm at Shoreham - see who caught the most in 30 minutes! Very light gear right down the side. Best bait was red rag dug up river. Great fun.

Yep warm cheesy wotsits are not the best and fortunate to have had the boiled eggs but felt really hungry and could see others eating picnics. Nice to see you into a few fish Paul. Love Black Bream, pound for pound I think they are 1 of our hardest fighting fish, and definitely 1 our best tasting

Fished southwick beach last week, dad caught 7, I got 1, a crab, which got tangled in my line while stealing the bait. Bream galore out there.

I'd never understand the mentality of a non-Millionaire fisherman releasing such a beautifully edible fish like breams!
My choice fellow because as you say they are beautiful fish and give me great joy. Many fishermen over here do the same and I do keep fish to eat but only if they are the right size as there are very stringent size regulations in the UK which is ten inches or 24cms. @@SeaFishingWithPaul Over here, Buckinghamshire, it's like people are brainwashed, Fishermen never keep, and ever ordinary people claim that the UK's waters are polluted and they won't eat fish, except when they pay for it in supermarkets.

@@HatRSol hello over in bucks I do like eating fish but fish every weekend and would not have enough freezer space 😂 and not worried about polluted water as most beaches I fish are pretty clean. But we do have a size limit and I also fish for pleasure not just food. Am at Shoreham right now waiting to get coffee then going fishing and if I catch plaice will probably keep one or two stay safe cheers Paul 👍👍🐠🐠 you are up early.🐠
Hi Paul enjoyed the video. Popped down there last year and was recommended a place to fish there hopefully get down there at some point soon. Trouble is I tend to go out on my boat and get spoilt!!
Hi Neil boats can be very addictive and am very envious and understand why you prefer it as you can get access to deeper water. This part of Shoreham starts to fish well at this time of year particularly as the water warms up although people also like the warm weather 😂😂😂😂 best regards Paul

“All the other idiots”…. Funny how we soon jump on anyone else’s fun/hobbies as soon as they interfere with ours.
And before I get lots of neg…. I do all of the above sea/fly and freshwater fish, paddle board and used to canoe. And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a 6oz lead flung at me from the beach even “as an understanding fisherman” I’ve taken immediate action to paddle right out from the shore line.
Remember…. It’s education ?? The paddle boarders or canoeist might not understand, or from another prospective. Maybe your the one annoying them as there just as entitled to be on our free beach’s 😳😳🤓but like most things in life… maybe there just arrogant, you can’t please everyone mate 😂😂👍😎
Hi Mike, fully agree and have frequently said in my videos that we all share the beach and are all as equally entitled to be there and more humorous than judgemental 😂 we all share space in the world that is getting smaller and you are right education is the way forward. I owned a boat and suffered the same indignity of people casting over me as I entered the harbour 😂😂 but comments from others out there are meant to be tongue in cheek and a bit humorous.
