He can't explain trinity . His examples are not accurate. A car has components and its one car doesn't mean that the components are cars (car consists of cars) like god consists of gods. I have a better example and more rational than him : A big drop of water consists of smaller drops .. means that there is a big drop and small drop .. in the example of god in your belief means that there is 1 big god and one small god because the small is in the big .. That means they are not equal .. they are different in the characteristic of size (you size god and you make him not unique) .. the 3 attributes are different (jesus is a human form .. god .. holy spirit) if you believe they are one it's like believing that one blue square is one yellow square because they have the same size. They have the square form but they differ in additional characteristic. If they are one so yellow=blue .. human form = god form. God is one .. not divisible not comparable not limited and unique (the god is the best ..if he is equal to something else he is not unique).

@valerianaerospace3268 point is that God can do anything. The impossible. It's possible for God to have 3 parts, but all are one, but God can't create a stone so heavy he can't lift? You can say the stone argument doesn't make sense, which it doesn't, but neither does the trinity. Supposedly, the trinity has always existed even before the creation of our universe. Why has there always been 3 parts of God? Did God see what would happen, and that's why the trinity is so important and the reason it's always existed? Why does God need a holy trinity?

To me my understanding of the trinity strengthened my believe in god even more, because it’s the closest we humans have ever interacted and described the unfathomable one god through Jesus Christ and our previous scriptures. It’s like trying to grasp the 4D hypercube by seeing the shadow image in our own third dimension. I also love how Sam was so eloquent in giving out concept to wrap the callers mind around the trinity without ending up in a heresy category

God is one. Simple as that. No need to complicate it. Jesus is the visible image of that God. When we get to Heaven we WILL see Jesus sitting upon the throne. Nothing more and nothing less. God being a spirit fills all time and space. He is invisible and has never been see nor ever will be seen. The only image that we will behold is Jesus Christ who is both Lord and God. My God doesn’t need to be 3 persons to fulfill the job of creation, redemption and restoration. He did it by Himself-who is father in creation, son in redemption and the power of the Holy Ghost in restoration. And He has one name- Jesus. The trinity is the spirit of deception. We don’t need the trinity to be saved. We need the revelation of Jesus-God becoming man while never stopping being God. God becoming the son while never stopping being the father. If a person says you need the trinity to be saved they have not been introduced to the Gospel-the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

I like Jonathan Pageau's way of explaining it. God Father (Heaven), God the Son (Earth) and Holy Spirit (Union of Heaven and Earth). Reality is trinitarian, the car has material components (the doors, the wheels), the car is a spiritual/mental category (the universal category of cars) and the union between heaven and earth which is man's creation or experience of the car.

My best understanding of the Trinity is based on the metaphor of the tetrahedron. It has four sides, representing how the one God reveals himself as God, Father, Son, Spirit. We serve one God. If you hold a tetrahedron in your hand, you hold one object, representing the One God. The distinctiveness of the persons is preserved since the one object has four facets. The distinct facets are also part of the integral whole while yet being separate. If the tetrahedron is made of transparent glass, you can look through one facet and across to see a different facet facing the inside. This explains how Jesus could say to Phillip, if you have seen me (looking through the transparent Jesus facet), you have seen the Father, (the Father facet). A perfect metaphorical illustration of the Trinity can be found in a transparent glass tetrahedron. Easy... God presents himself as each separate facet singly, or as a combination of facets. For example, if you hold the object so you are looking directly down on it, you will see three facets, Father, Son, Spirit. This is how God presents himself at Jesus’ baptism: Jesus in the water, the Father speaking from heaven, and the Holy Spirit descending as a dove, all three present yet distinct at the same time. Another example is when Jesus was praying the high priestly prayer in the garden. There, the object is turned to show two facets, the Father and the Son. There are fourteen such combinations of facets that reveal God in the scriptures.

Conversely the trinity is three different persons of the same and unique nature for example if I say that by nature the spiritual and transcendent divine being is love ,for love to be true it must be experienced, given and received. When the love received by the Son who is begotten returns to the Father it is the same love which becomes one, the unique love of divinity. We understand that the trinity is explained by the relational mode in the interior life of God and in the other manifestations with his creation which intervene in a very specific space-time, our framework . Hi Sam, maybe you'll see this comment but can we use an analogy of the Trinity like there are three state of matter. For example, H2o: water is in liquid form, ice is in solid form, and if you heat it up then it became a gaseous form. One same matter in three different but as equal form. I'm new to all of this and really trying to understand Christ. God bless!
Many Christian’s with good intention who try to explain the Trinity to help others and/or for their own minds comprehend/gain a better understanding of God’s triune nature end up using and unintentionally believing in Trinity analogies that are actually a heresy. The water, ice, vapor/gas is one of them and it’s a heresy called Modalism. It arose in the 3rd century and teaches that God changes locations, forms or modes between being the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. Some other common heretical analogies are A) the egg (the shell, the white, and the yoke) which is a heresy called Tritheism. B) “The Trinity is like the sun. It generates heat and light but it’s all wrapped up in the sun.” which is a heresy called Arianism…. There’s more out there but I just wanted to share this so you know and don’t end up believing in a heresy and unintentional teach a heresy to someone else. I would highly encourage you to research these Trinitarian heresies so you’re aware.

Even though humans are single people , we are a combination of two parents, so, I myself believe, we are indeed more similar to God's Trinity than we think, children are an extension of the parents.

I think the Sun in our solar system reflects/hints of the Trinity. The Sun is like the Father on a sunny summer day, you cannot look upon the sun. You can see the light (Jesus) and feel the heat (Holy Spirit)
It's so frustrating that I've spent fifteen years trying to understand the trinity and talking to priests about it and not getting an answer or "you simply have to believe" leading me to atheism until I returned to Christianity; but I've managed to find a coherent answer in a youtube comment. Sam, I would like to thank you for preaching God to all of us. I had a terrible past as a child, where my parents were fighting each other, I was getting abused, my teachers hated me and everyone mocking me. It was too much pain and suffering that it drove me to suicide 3-4 times if I can recall, but when I saw a video about you explaining the trinity, I felt joy and happiness that I never knew, and from that, I turned my life to Jesus. Instantly, my life became better, my family and I reformed our broken relationship and my friends showed me true friendship. This made me realize that my life has a purpose, an amazing purpose. ive been a Christian for like 2 years now (maybe a bit more, i dont keep track) and Jesus has taken me a long way from where I was, lately ive been watching a lot of Christian vs Islam debates. In some of these debates, the triune nature of God is a point of debate. The problem is that while i was reading, i came across 1 Corinthians 8:6 i started to doubt and question. But God in all his love revealed to me through my own reasoning how he is Triune. And on top of that, this video was the first video i saw on my youtube feed that my eyes saw (what a "coincidence" huh?)... even for "older" Christians, some things have to clarified sometimes, im glad you're walking on the path of Jesus.

You are going to take what Jesus said there and interpret it to mean he is eternal when that contracts what the New Testament says all over? Did you read the entire conversation before that statement? In that conversation, Jesus clearly stated: (1) he is just who he had been saying he was from the beginning (of their interactions), and he had not been claiming to be God, (2) he is a man who told them the truth he heard from God, (3) he is the Son of God. Notice that he points out that God called men “gods” (elohim) in the Psalms, and he was not even calling himself an elohim, but the Son OF God. To claim that the Son is “eternally begotten” os to directly contradict Scripture because God clearly said, “You are my Son; TODAY I have begotten you.” How can today mean eternally? Trinitarians twist the Scriptures to say the opposite of what they actually say!! Also, according the the apostles, Jesus is STILL a man after he was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven. Paul clearly stated that there is one God, who is the Father, and one mediator between God and man, who is the MAN, Christ Jesus.

God is a higher dimension being. Imagine someone trying to explain a cube to a 2-dimensional world. If the cube touches the 2-dimensional plane with the corner, this plane will see a dot. If the side touches, then a line. If the face touches, then a square.
When I was an unitarian, where I believe Jesus is not God, my mind worked like the Muslims. I thought I was way more superior than other Christians. I quote the exact the verses out of context to show to the Christians that Jesus is not God. But when I study the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit, my eyes and mind are opened. I can see that Jesus is God in the bible. Then I realize, that I was very shallow on bible verses, I felt like I just learn how to do a simple math and boast about how good I am until I could challenge all the mathematician with simple primary level maths calculation. Today I humble myself and I would say that the trinity is something like higher maths calculation. It could be understood when we open our mind to adapt things and to test and proof. When I was an unitarian, i explain this verse like If you see Me you have seen the Father. I say, that is Jesus saying that when you see Him you will feel the presence of the Father. But as a trinitarian, I take that literal. When you see Jesus you have seen the Father.

Leaf isn't 100% tree, wood isn't 100% tree, bark isn't 100%. But according to trinity, Jesus is 100% god, The father is 100% god, and the holy spirit is 100% god. So you committed a heresy called (Partialism). Same thing with humans. Now about H2O, if you take a body of water you can't make that body of water all gas, liquid, and solid at the same time. They have to be separated in terms of body or time. Unlike trinity where you can't say God existed/exists only in father or son or holy spirit. So that's another heresy you just committed which is called (Modalism). Just shows you how extremely illogical Trinity is.

The Trinity is a mystery No one will ever understand it. We accept it on faith. Only God is eternal God can never change. Jesus is the eternal Son God is eternally fathering the Son. The love between them is eternal. So God the Father is eternal The Son is eternal The love between them is eternal So all are God. There’s only 1 God.
Sam, with your knowledge, ability to recall scripture, and understanding of the claims and evidence of so many positions, i pray your channel grows abundantly. A couple small suggestions out of love - clip your long videos, make more videos like this (question and answers very simply), and presentation (background and appearance of video) not that it’s necessary but it can make a huge difference. Whatever analogy you use to explain the trinity you will always fall into heresy. For example the analogy you used in this video. You said a car is 1 but has 4 doors, now does that mean each door is 100% car? No. Meanwhile in the trinity, each person is 100% god but there's 1 god which is a contradiction. You just committed the heresy of (Partialism) and the same thing will happen with each analogy you use for the Trinity which makes the trinity extremely illogical and dumb. Do you honestly think that the Church never had to study this in depth when it was formulating the doctrine on the Trinity? This is why the Church uses faith and reason. The bible alone simply cannot work.
God exist with or without a creation. It makes sense that if He makes a spiritual realm He will exist in that realm. If He makes a physical realm He will exist in that realm. God is a hands on creator. Of course God exists as a man/ Jesus Christ, He exist as the Holy Spirit in the spiritual realm. It makes sense to me. An artist exists in his painting by signing his name on it. The Trinity is common sense.

God is ONE substance. This substance is shared by all three persons of the Trinity. PERSONS are not people, people are created, God was never created, He is eternal. The word Person, implies that each have a personal identity and are distinct from each other. There is one God who exists as three persons. All three Persons share the same collection of attributes. You can't comprehend it because it's not supported by scripture and contradicts the whole of scripture, "it's a mystery" is such a copout which really means it's not scriptural. He has revealed Himself to us through His Word, His Word is what matters and His Word says that HaMashiach has an Elohim. Three different physicalities /nature of the same element that serve three different purposes as in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is one. Simple as that. No need to complicate it. Jesus is the visible image of that God. When we get to Heaven we WILL see Jesus sitting upon the throne. Nothing more and nothing less. God being a spirit fills all time and space. He is invisible and has never been see nor ever will be seen. The only image that we will behold is Jesus Christ who is both Lord and God. My God doesn’t need to be 3 persons to fulfill the job of creation, redemption and restoration. He did it by Himself-who is father in creation, son in redemption and the power of the Holy Ghost in restoration. And He has one name- Jesus. The trinity is the spirit of deception. We don’t need the trinity to be saved. We need the revelation of Jesus-God becoming man while never stopping being God. God becoming the son while never stopping being the father. If a person says you need the trinity to be saved they have not been introduced to the Gospel-the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

I like Jonathan Pageau's way of explaining it. God Father (Heaven), God the Son (Earth) and Holy Spirit (Union of Heaven and Earth). Reality is trinitarian, the car has material components (the doors, the wheels), the car is a spiritual/mental category (the universal category of cars) and the union between heaven and earth which is man's creation or experience of the car.

My best understanding of the Trinity is based on the metaphor of the tetrahedron. It has four sides, representing how the one God reveals himself as God, Father, Son, Spirit. We serve one God. If you hold a tetrahedron in your hand, you hold one object, representing the One God. The distinctiveness of the persons is preserved since the one object has four facets. The distinct facets are also part of the integral whole while yet being separate. If the tetrahedron is made of transparent glass, you can look through one facet and across to see a different facet facing the inside. This explains how Jesus could say to Phillip, if you have seen me (looking through the transparent Jesus facet), you have seen the Father, (the Father facet). A perfect metaphorical illustration of the Trinity can be found in a transparent glass tetrahedron. Easy... God presents himself as each separate facet singly, or as a combination of facets. For example, if you hold the object so you are looking directly down on it, you will see three facets, Father, Son, Spirit. This is how God presents himself at Jesus’ baptism: Jesus in the water, the Father speaking from heaven, and the Holy Spirit descending as a dove, all three present yet distinct at the same time. Another example is when Jesus was praying the high priestly prayer in the garden. There, the object is turned to show two facets, the Father and the Son. There are fourteen such combinations of facets that reveal God in the scriptures.

for example if I say that by nature the spiritual and transcendent divine being is love ,for love to be true it must be experienced, given and received. We understand that the trinity is explained by the relational mode in the interior life of God and in the other manifestations with his creation which intervene in a very specific space-time, our framework . For example, H2o: water is in liquid form, ice is in solid form, and if you heat it up then it became a gaseous form. One same matter in three different but as equal form. Many Christian’s with good intention who try to explain the Trinity to help others and/or for their own minds comprehend/gain a better understanding of God’s triune nature end up using and unintentionally believing in Trinity analogies that are actually a heresy. The water, ice, vapor/gas is one of them and it’s a heresy called Modalism. It arose in the 3rd century and teaches that God changes locations, forms or modes between being the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit.
Some other common heretical analogies are A) the egg (the shell, the white, and the yoke) which is a heresy called Tritheism. B) “The Trinity is like the sun. It generates heat and light but it’s all wrapped up in the sun.” which is a heresy called Arianism….
There’s more out there but I just wanted to share this so you know and don’t end up believing in a heresy and unintentional teach a heresy to someone else. I would highly encourage you to research these Trinitarian heresies so you’re aware.

Sam, I would like to thank you for preaching God to all of us. I had a terrible past as a child, where my parents were fighting each other, I was getting abused, my teachers hated me and everyone mocking me. It was too much pain and suffering that it drove me to suicide 3-4 times if I can recall, but when I saw a video about you explaining the trinity, I felt joy and happiness that I never knew, and from that, I turned my life to Jesus. Instantly, my life became better, my family and I reformed our broken relationship and my friends showed me true friendship. This made me realize that my life has a purpose, an amazing purpose. ive been a Christian for like 2 years now (maybe a bit more, i dont keep track) and Jesus has taken me a long way from where I was, lately ive been watching a lot of Christian vs Islam debates. In some of these debates, the triune nature of God is a point of debate. The problem is that while i was reading, i came across 1 Corinthians 8:6 i started to doubt and question. But God in all his love revealed to me through my own reasoning how he is Triune. And on top of that, this video was the first video i saw on my youtube feed that my eyes saw (what a "coincidence" huh?)... even for "older" Christians, some things have to clarified sometimes, im glad you're walking on the path of Jesus.

Yahuah is clear on WHO HE is and WHO HIS Son is!
But he does NOT describe anywhere in Scripture the HS as a separate entity or godhead.
In the Tanakh as well as the Renewed covenant it is ONLY the Father and the Son.
God is a higher dimension being. Imagine someone trying to explain a cube to a 2-dimensional world. If the cube touches the 2-dimensional plane with the corner, this plane will see a dot. If the side touches, then a line. If the face touches, then a square.
When I was an unitarian, where I believe Jesus is not God, my mind worked like the Muslims. I thought I was way more superior than other Christians. I quote the exact the verses out of context to show to the Christians that Jesus is not God.
But when I study the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit, my eyes and mind are opened. I can see that Jesus is God in the bible.
Then I realize, that I was very shallow on bible verses, I felt like I just learn how to do a simple math and boast about how good I am until I could challenge all the mathematician with simple primary level maths calculation.
Today I humble myself and I would say that the trinity is something like higher maths calculation. It could be understood when we open our mind to adapt things and to test and proof.

Leaf isn't 100% tree, wood isn't 100% tree, bark isn't 100%. But according to trinity, Jesus is 100% god, The father is 100% god, and the holy spirit is 100% god. So you committed a heresy called (Partialism). Same thing with humans. Now about H2O, if you take a body of water you can't make that body of water all gas, liquid, and solid at the same time. They have to be separated in terms of body or time. Unlike trinity where you can't say God existed/exists only in father or son or holy spirit. Whatever analogy you use to explain the trinity you will always fall into heresy. For example the analogy you used in this video. You said a car is 1 but has 4 doors, now does that mean each door is 100% car? No. Meanwhile in the trinity, each person is 100% god but there's 1 god which is a contradiction. You just committed the heresy of (Partialism) and the same thing will happen with each analogy you use for the Trinity which makes the trinity extremely illogical and dumb. God exist with or without a creation. It makes sense that if He makes a spiritual realm He will exist in that realm. If He makes a physical realm He will exist in that realm. God is ONE substance. This substance is shared by all three persons of the Trinity. PERSONS are not people, people are created, God was never created, He is eternal. The word Person, implies that each have a personal identity and are distinct from each other. There is one God who exists as three persons. All three Persons share the same collection of attributes. And God can appear as anything He desires.

You can't comprehend it because it's not supported by scripture and contradicts the whole of scripture, "it's a mystery" is such a copout which really means it's not scriptural. He has revealed Himself to us through His Word, His Word is what matters and His Word says that HaMashiach has an Elohim. We are one also with the Son and Elohim but that doesn't make us Elohim, they are one in purpose and thought as we should be. Yah had this Word with Him in the beginning in His Mind as to how he would redeem mankind and that prophetic Word was manifest in the flesh. Please read your Bible. The twisting of scripture to make a false concept that was created back in the days is outstanding. Do your research on where this concept of the trinity comes from and how it evolved to what it is now. Information is out there and it’s free.

Another way to help explain trinity is referencing water: 1. Rain (liquid water) 2. Steam (gaseous water) 3. Ice (solid water). Three different physicalities /nature of the same element that serve three different purposes as in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
One can also use the sun to explain the attributes of trinity: 1. Light 2. Life 3. Energy.
1. God the Father -- God YHWH the holy ALMIGHTY who no man can see and live.
2. God the Son -- God man Jesus Christ who came to earth to sacrifice Himself so man can be redeemed /saved from his/her sin and return to heaven.
