God said in Quran about Jesus and Mary (peace be upon them ):
"And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed God has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds. O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]."(Quran 3:42-43)
" [And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed God gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to God ].
He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous. She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah ; He creates what He wills.
When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is. He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel, And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah .
And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.
And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me. God is my Lord and your Lord, so serve Him- that is a straight path.
When Jesus realized they [still] did not believe, he said, ‘Who will help me in God’s cause?’ The disciples said, ‘We will be God’s helpers; we believe in God- witness our devotion to Him. Lord, we believe in what You have revealed and we follow the messenger: record us among those who bear witness [to the Truth].’
And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners. Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ." (Quran 03:42-55)

The Apostles willingness to be killed not for saying they believed Jesus had risen, but they knew he had risen, because they saw him.
If the tomb wasn't empty, they would've paraded the body around to stomp out any idea of Jesus being ressurrected, but Christianty spread because there was no body in the tomb.
If someone stole the body, why were nearly all the Apostles willing to be killed for saying they'd seen Jesus risen? They were thousands of miles away from one another before phones and the internet and were being threaten, tortured, and murdered for their claim. Not one "broke" and said it was a lie to save themselves.
The archeology matches the Bible perfectly all the way from Genesis through the New Testament.
We have the writing of the disciples of the Apostles and the disciples of those disciples, and they not only quote much of the New Testament, but all the core idea of Christianty are present. Jesus being God, the Son of God, dying for sins, burial, resurrection, ascension to heaven.
We also have writing of Jewish and Pagan contemporary historians who were hostile towards Jesus, who say the same things : Jesus being worshipped as God, the Son of God, dying for on the cross, burial, resurrection.
It's mainly because of the archeology, "friendly" writers, and "hostile" writers mentioned above that the Jesus Seminar, who are PhD level ashiest/agnostics who study Christ and the Bible, concluded that Jesus really lived in Judea 2,000 years ago, was known as a miracle workers, died on the cross under Pilate, and that his disciples really believed they had seen him risen from the dead.
The fact that there are contradictions between manuscripts is often sited as proof against trusting scripture, when it actually does the opposite. The fact that there are so many manuscripts makes it easy to tell when someone changed one, and modern Bibles are transparent about any differences in the footnotes. None of those differences found between manuscripts change anything about any core doctrines of Christianity, they are mainly a handwriting error on a letter or a different way to word something that means the same thing.
There is also all the undisigned coincidence between not only the four Gospels, but the rest of the New and Old Testaments too.
Matthew 2:22 talks about Joseph not wanting to return to Judea after fleeing to Egypt because Archelaus was ruling. That's all the info on that the Bible gives. Josephus, the Jewish historian, tells us about the things Archelaus did and how evil he was. Put these two peices of evidence together, we get the full picture.
This sort of thing happens through the text with the seemingly useless details matching up perfectly with extra Biblical sources, lending to the credibility of the text.
It's because of the evidence that I believe in Jesus.

@@kaylynn8696 Jesus also said that he and his father and his disciples were also one a few chapters on from John 10:30 which u quoted, at John 17:22. Are they all part of a triune God as well? Jesus was speaking of one as in united.
'No man has seen God and lived' according to the Bible so Jesus wasnt contradicting scripture, he was the perfect representative of his father, perefectly reflacting his fathers qualities. Remember he also admitted he could "do nothing of his own initiative" He always attributed his power to his God.
Note Jesus is referred to as Mighty not the Almighty in Isaiah 9:6. Many are called gods in the Bible but there is only ONE almighty God Jehovah. Moses was also called god, because he represented Jehovah.
Jesus is also referred to as the eternal Father here as well in Isaiah so according to the trinity doctrine is Jesus now the father as well? Of course not! He is the eternal father in the sense mentioned here at 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For just as in Adam (the original father) all are dying, so also in the Christ (the new father) all will be made alive.“
Jesus is Gods son, not God the Almighty. 1 Corinthians 8:6 says "there is ONE God, the father & ONE lord, the Christ".

The point is to live by faith, which does not necessitate our understanding the physics of God's being. But there is an interesting spiritual physics when we become a disciple of Jesus. Jesus said in John 17 that we should be "one" with the Father as Jesus is in the Father. Also "if you love me, you will keep my commandments." The commandments- "love God and love one another." Living communally with God the Holy Spirit is that living, walk of faith that drives us to love. The Trinity is beyond our mental capacities at this time; but the Scriptures provide an understanding of how God and our persons co-exist...to his glory and our own participation in Jesus' mission to redeem humanity and the earth from the dominion and effects of sin.

Unless you took the time to learn in the MBA billionaires school of thought.
You get schooled HERE then once you are with God you'll understand and HE will notice you as a student of his class.
"Hi John, Brenda come sit down we were just discussing...." and so it goes. You'll understand the language and he'll notice and welcome you.
I don't think people understand this. He will cast out but more importantly many, many people will feel uncomfortable in a setting and remove themselves from heaven. To where? I have no clue.
Back to the Billionaires boardroom. Their language, mannerisms and high baller talk WILL fly over my head and I'll realize I don't belong there. Neither would you. You'd leave.
So it is with the Kingdom of Heaven. Either he knows you before you come up and are in that book of Life or your not.

Exodus 3:13- “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your forefathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is his name?’ What should I say to them?” 14 So God said to Moses: “I Will Become What I Choose to Become.” And he added: “This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘I Will Become has sent me to you.’” 15 Then God said once more to Moses:
“This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘Jehovah [some use Yahweh, but Jehovah is most used in English] the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation. in YOUR world, maybe. But among the righteous who KNOW Him, we already know...
Philosophical LIES. But I'm here to tell you that you CAN understand! Woe to those who cause more harm than good!
      1)
why not deal with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and how they are THREE men but share the SAME PROMISE? Aren't they a foreshadowing of the Trinity? That should be the STARTING POINT of all Trinitarian discussions.
Abraham + Isaac + Jacob = father of the promised nation
      Father + Son + Spirit = God
So, if we can all understand Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, why are folk so dull-witted when it comes to the Trinity and you need all kinds of vain philosophy to explain what the Bible makes clear? It's NOT hard to understand.
      2)
why not deal with the THREE who went before Abraham? It's because silly 'tradition' tells you that two of them were angels, all because of what you see in the next chapter because you think the next chapter was the same day, same week, or even the same month. But your tradition is wrong! The THREE are YHWH because it was YHWH who said that HE was going down into Sodom personally, and as soon as HE said it, 'the men' turned and went to Sodom. So clearly, they were not the same two angels seen in the next chapter.
      3)
why not deal with the shema? "Hear O Israel the Lord our 'ELOHYM (plural noun/compound unity) is ONE … which is the same thing that the New Testament is saying with its "the THREE are ONE". The PLURAL NOUN … is ONE!
      4)
why not deal with the Aaronic Benediction? How many times is "the Lord" mentioned? THREE times.
      5)
why not deal with Genesis saying "Let US make man in OUR own image after OUR likeness" … and then follow that up with Isaiah saying that God made everything ALONE and "BY MYSELF"?
      6)
why not deal with Isaiah showing God saying He was around since the beginning, but now the "Lord God" AND "His Spirit" have SENT Him? Funny how Jesus claimed to be Divine. Funny how Jesus claimed to have been sent. Funny how the Father and the Spirit were present and approving at the Baptism of Jesus.
      7)
why not deal with Psalm 2 where we can clearly see the Father speaking about His Son, then the Son speaking about Himself, then the Spirit speaking about the Son? We can clearly see the Spirit doing exactly what Jesus said the Comforter does - reproving the world of sin and Glorifying the Son. BE WISE YE KINGS! BE INSTRUCTED YE JUDGES! KISS THE SON … OR PERISH. Worship the Son, or be damned!
      8)
why not deal with the fact that there are only THREE dwellings of God among mankind. God from Moses to Malichi. God as Emmanuel. God the Sprit. All THREE will dwell and all THREE will leave. There is NO SUCH THING AS A FOURTH DWELLING. The Comforter is the last. When He is gone … that's it! I'ts a wrap! But these men cannot teach the truth of it because they are bound by their post-trib and/or pre-wrath trap. But I am telling the Truth!
      9)
why not deal with the fact that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the one sin that cannot be forgive in this life OR the next? It's because you are post-tribbers or pre-wrathers, so you distort what should not be distorted to fit your ideologies. Yes … I already know. But the Holy Spirit is the LAST, and since He is the LAST, there is NO REPENTANCE when He is gone (which you distorted in your Revelation video, because you are post-tribbers or pre-wrathers … which is a believe that didn't even exist when I was a boy!)
      10)
why not deal with the passage of Solomon talking about the CREATOR GOD and asking "what is His name, AND what is His SON'S name, IF you can tell?" Why not elaborate on how the OT says His name is secrete and how the NT says Jesus has a name that no man knows but He Himself.
      11)
why not deal with the fact that God called a mortal man His EQUAL when He said "arise O sword against the MAN that is My FELLOW"? The Hebrew word for fellow is an EQUAL.
I mean, I can go on and on and not even touch the New Testament. After all, Isaiah also made it clear that God has not spoken in secret from the Beginning, and that He tells the end from the beginning. So, why don't you go to the BEGINNING (Book of Job as well as Genesis) to show the Tri-une nature of God? If Isaiah was right, it should be able to do.

Even if one refuses the doctrine that Jesus is our God, in some sense you must come to term with this statement by Jesus. In the least, in some sense, Jesus claimed to be the great “I AM.”

There are many, many, many passages where God speaks in the first person in the Old Testament, and Jesus will quote these in the first person about himself. He will claim things that are titles of God alone about himself and tells us he can not only hear our prayers but has the ability to answer them too.
Psalm 95:7 - for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
      the flock under his care.
Today, if only you would hear his voice,
Isaiah 43:13 - Yes, and from ancient days I am he.
No one can deliver out of my hand.
When I act, who can reverse it?”
Deuteronomy 32:29 - “See now that I myself am he!
There is no god besides me.
I put to death and I bring to life,
I have wounded and I will heal,
and no one can deliver out of my hand.
Two of these are God speaking in the first person, one about God.
John 10:27-30 Jesus speaking, - 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[a]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
It continues to 33 with the Jewish audience picking up stones to kill Jesus, he asks for what good works do you stone me, and they say not for good works, but you being a man make yourself out to be God.
John 8:58, Jesus said that before Abraham was, I AM, which is what God told Moses his name was.
John 1:1,14 Jesus is the Word who was there in the beginning with God, and who was God, who took on flesh and dwelt among us.
A human being is what I am. trenititybrehm is who I am.
God is what the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are. One God, who is three people.
The only reason the Trinity exists is because scripture teaches that the Father is God, Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God.
Jesus said, "Destroy this temple (meaning his body) and in three days, I will raise it up!" He did not say his Father would raise him, although the Father and the Holy Spirit are each explicitly given credit for raising Jesus.
Isaiah 43:11, God said there is no savior besides him. Titus 3:6 Jesus is called our Saviour.
John 6:46, Jesus says no one has seen the Father, yet Abraham spoke face to face with God in Genesis 18:19, Moses spoke face to face with God in Exodus 33:11 and Moses and the elders of Israel went up Mount Sinai and saw the God of Israel seated on a throne and ate with him. Jacob wrestled with God in Gensis 32:22-32.
1 Corinthians 8:6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
Jesus is the one who ascends and descends out of heaven and the appearances of God throughout the Old Testament is Jesus. This is why he said before Abraham was, I am in John 8:58
Gensis 19:24 "Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah-from the LORD out of the heavens." When LORD is all caps it's using God's holy name in Hebrew, and Abraham was just pleading face to face with God to not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Gen 19:24 says Yahweh rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah from Yahweh out of heaven.
Jesus is the Yahweh who spoke to Abraham face to face and called sulfur and brimstone out of heaven from Yahweh the Father.
Jesus is God with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus IS the Messiah friend. The Trinity is what scripture taught from the beginning because it is from the scripture that the idea of the tri-unity between the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit as being God teaches. Not something come up with later.
In Mark Jesus heals the paralytic man, but first, he tells him your sins are forgiven. The Pharisees around thought in their hearts this was blasphemy, because only God can forgive sins. Jesus instantly know what they were thinking and called them out on it, and said to prove to you I can forgive sins, get up and walk and the paralytic could walk. Jesus proved he is God for only God can forgive sins, only God knows the hearts of men (Jerimiah 11:20 and 17:10), and only God can heal people. Jesus did all three IN MARK'S GOSPEL, which is often considered the oldest of the four.
Read Hebrews 1:8-12. Old Testament scriptures are quoted that are talking about God creating the universe, and Hebrews 1:8-12 quotes them and attributes the Father calling Jesus God, the Lord who created the everything, who is eternal.
Hebrews 1:10-12 Is directly quoting Psalm 102:25-27, where the Psalm is talkling about Yahweh (God) and Hebrews is talking about Jesus, the Son.

Also, there is a property in creation that things can be enumerated. That is, they can be counted. This is apparently a created aspect of the universe that does not bind God. In which case the trinity is a true representation of God that does not require adherence to numerability. Hope this helps.

Not something come up with later.
Mark 1:1-4, the very first verses of the very first chapter of what is cited as the very first Gospel calls Jesus God. It refrences Isaiah 40:3 and Malachi 3:1 where Yahweh says he will send his messanger who will be like a voice in the wilderness to make the way before he himself comes to his temple. Mark says John is that voice in the wilderness, making the way for Jesus. John 1:23 and Luke 3:4 also say the exact same things.
In Mark 10:18, Jesus said,"Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God." Meaning: "You call me good when only God is good, do you understand what you are calling me?" To further the point, Christ then lists the 6 commandments that relate to how people deal with each other and asks the man if he's followed those. The man says yes. Then, instead of listing the 4 commandments on how to relate to God and asking if he's followed those, Jesus tells the man, "Follow me," because following and worshiping Christ is following and worshiping God.
In Mark Jesus heals the paralytic man, but first, he tells him your sins are forgiven. The Pharisees around thought in their hearts this was blasphemy, because only God can forgive sins. Amen and thank you for sharing that! It's strange to say, but the Bible seems almost "encrypted" in a way that only allows the open-minded to glimpse it's divine authorship, while confounding the wicked hearted; so there's a reason you are being drawn to it. Jesus spoke plainly to the common man, but spoke in parables to the authorities, explaining it was so that they could NOT see. (so much for today's "seeker friendly" mega churches LOL)
There are MANY times in the New Testament where they sought Jesus for one reason or another, but Jesus hid himself. Very mysterious. Proverbs says "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of Kings to seek it out".
If God is placing these mysteries in your path it is because he wants to reveal Himself to you. You make the first move and He'll handle everything else from there.
In regards to the Trinity, there's a reason the Bible doesn't spell it out plainly; God keeps it mysterious so you'll have to seek relationship with Him to find it. In the end you realize MAN is a trinity with a body, soul, and spirit. That's what it means to be made in His likeness. Angels have a soul and spirit, and animals have a soul and body; only man has all 3. And when you study scripture with that in view you begin to see how God has separated Himself, and WHY he separated Himself. It is so beautiful it will move you to tears. Sorry for the ramble LOL! I'll keep you in prayer, amen.

Wow. I say that after every Bible Project video, but WOW! This is so powerful. I love the way you use the example of 3-D and 2-D. It reminds me of this book "Flatland," that I read in a math class.... like "Whoa! My brain can't quite grasp this!" But that's true of us trying to fully understand a triune God; we are natural, He is supernatural. I love the imagery you used. This is so helpful. Thank you for making intelligent, high-quality media that gives sound theological doctrine. Christians like me have been waiting our whole lives, many decades for this! 🙌

    • @sillystorm3083

It's ALL carnally minded deceiving words of men. "Trinity" is nowhere to be found in the Bible, nor did Jesus or the Apostles teach God is a "Trinity". Jesus STATES that only His Word is The Seed, and seeds not His Word are Tares. So if you believe in man's seeds, you aren't a son but a deluded bastard.

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?
      (21:30)
O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it.(84:6)
The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.
      (21:104)
"When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
And when the stars fall, dispersing,
And when the pages(deeds in spacetime that no one knowing ) are made public..
      (Quran,81)
"I swear by the Day of Resurrection.
And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself.
Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones?
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips(fingerprint).
In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him!
He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?”
So when the eyes will be blinded by light.
And the moon will be eclipsed.
And the sun and the moon will be united.
On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?”
      Never! There is no refuge!
On that day, the station is only towards your Lord.
On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind.
In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs!
And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to.(Quran, 75:1-15)
"that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass.
Then the stars will lose their light.
      Heavens will rent asunder.
The mountains will be blown away as dust.(Quran, 77:7-10)
" Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -
The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes
And the heaven is opened and will become gateways
And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.
The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return.
Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!" (Quran,78)
"And you love wealth with immense love.
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -
And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,
And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]. (Quran,89:20-26)
"A questioner questioned concerning the doom about to fall
Upon the disbelievers, which none can repel,
From Allah, Lord of the Ascending Stairways
On that Day (of Judgment), long as fifty thousand years, the angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him.
(Muhammad), exercise patience with no complaints.
They think that it (the Day of Judgment) is far away.
but We see it to be very near.
On the day when the heavens become like molten metal.
and the mountains become like wool,
even intimate friends will not inquire about their friends,
though they may see each other. A sinner will wish that he could save himself from the torment of that day by sacrificing his children,
      his wife, his brother,
his kinsmen who gave him refuge (from hardship)
      and all those on earth.
By no means! For the raging flames of the fire
      will strip-off the flesh
and drag into it anyone who has turned away (from obeying God),
and who accumulated wealth without spending it for a good purpose(to gift other who needed or hunger people) (Quran, 70:1-18)
"On the day when they see it(Day Of Judgement/Resurrection), it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon,(Quran,79:46)
"And have you seen the water that you drink?
Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?
If We willed, We could make it salty-bitter, so why are you not grateful?
So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
Then I swear by the setting of the stars(galaxies),
And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great.
Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an

This is a lesson for those who worship (God).
      (21:105-106)
[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,
      Looking at their Lord.
      (Quran,The Day Of Resurrection,75 :22-23)
"[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],
And enter among My [righteous] servants
      And enter My Paradise."

*"Say, "He is Allah(God) , [who is] One,
      Allah(God) , the Eternal Refuge.

God said in Quran about Jesus (pbuh):
"And We did certainly give Moses the Torah and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit. But is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, [O Children of Israel], with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party [of messengers] you denied and another party you killed."
Say, [O believers], “We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.” (2:136)
"Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree. And We gave Jesus, the Son of Mary, clear proofs, and We supported him with the Pure Spirit. If Allah had willed, those [generations] succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends." (2:253)
[And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ]." (3:45)
"But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, “Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?” The disciples said,” We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]." (3:52)
[Mention] when Allah said, “O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ." (3:55)
"Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, “Be,” and he was." (3:59)
And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour upon you and your mother: how I supported you with the holy spirit1 so you spoke to people in ˹your˺ infancy and adulthood. How I taught you writing, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel. How you moulded a bird from clay-by My Will-and breathed into it and it became a ˹real˺ bird-by My Will. How you healed the blind and the lepers-by My Will. How you brought the dead to life-by My Will. How I prevented the Children of Israel from harming you when you came to them with clear proofs and the disbelievers among them said, “This is nothing but pure magic.” (5:110)
Say, “We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him.” (3:84)
"O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes regarding your faith; say nothing about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah and the fulfilment of His Word through Mary and a spirit ˹created by a command˺ from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say, “Trinity.” Stop!-for your own good. Allah is only One God. Glory be to Him! He is far above having a son! To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And Allah is sufficient as a Trustee of Affairs." (4:171)
" And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah .” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain." (4:157)
Indeed, We have sent revelation to you ˹O Prophet˺ as We sent revelation to Noah and the prophets after him. We also sent revelation to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants, ˹as well as˺ Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon. And to David We gave the Psalms. (4:163)

Yes there is one God but its clear that the scriptures show that there are 3 distinctions within the Godhead and these 3 distinct person of the Godhead all share one will because it is indeed one God, just shown in 3 persons.
'For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. '
      1 John 5:7
Also we see each distinct person of the Triune Godhead operate distinctly during Jesus's baptism(Matthew 3:16-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22)
'When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”'
      Luke 3:21-22
The fact that we see all 3 persons of the trinity operating at once but apart from Jesus shows that Jesus isn't the Father or the Spirit, we even see that is says the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form.
Jesus is God ('For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 'Colossians 2:9) but the Father and Holy Spirit exist in distinct persons, that are one.

"In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and the Word was God", not "In the beginning was The Word, and God was The Word." It's also "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?", and not "Myself, Myself, why have I forsaken Myself?" It's also "After He was baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and settling on Him, and behold, a voice from the heavens said, 'This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”' and not "After He was baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of Himself descending as a dove and settling on Himself, and behold, a voice from the heavens said 'This is My beloved Myself, with who I am well pleased.'"

    • @eb8827
      @eb8827 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Not really. Because in the analogy they show all three at the same time. In Modalism it would be only one God showing himself in different modes, but never three at the same time. The idea of the 2D-3D analogy is that with our carnal eyes and minds we can't see or imagine how a triune God "works" because of our limitations.

      The Holy Trinity
5 The Father stood before His children and explained unto them that He had chosen a leader from among them to watch over His work in this part of His kingdom.
6 And the Father called forth Jehovah from among the other spirits and presented him before them as the one that He had chosen.
7 And it came to pass that another valiant spirit was called forth and presented unto the spirits by the Father.
8 And the Father brought forth one of the spirits and presented him to the other spirits that resided there. And I beheld that this spirit was Michael, who would become the mortal father of all the children of men.
15 There before the throne of the Eternal Father, even Elohim, stood Jehovah, even Jesus the Christ, and Michael, the father of all the children of men, even the man Adam. And every knee bowed and every soul sang praises to this Holy Trinity.
16 There appeared a sea of many souls, even more numerous than the sands upon the sea shore, each singing praises of glory towards the throne of God, and all kneeling in honor of their Father and their God.
11 And it came to pass that Michael went down and passed through the days of his probation and died; yea, even so, he returned once again to the world of spirits from whence he came.
12 And Michael ruled at the right hand of Jehovah and reigned in his stead when the time came for Jehovah to pass through the days of his probation.
16 And for the small space of time in between the death of his mortal body and his resurrection, Jesus entered once again into the spirit world and bestowed upon Michael all the powers and authority that he had received from the Father, so that Michael could rule and reign in the spirit world.
17 And now, this is the mystery that hath not been revealed except unto those who have been faithful and received the knowledge of God by way of the spirit of God. For behold, Michael is the other member of the Godhead, yea even the Holy Ghost.
20 But Michael would not take upon himself a resurrected body, but was called and chosen to rule and reign in the spirit world as the Holy Ghost until the work of the Father, concerning His children that belong to this part of His kingdom, is finished.
52 And in this way, Michael, who is the Holy Ghost, is known as the archangel who is in constant battle for the souls of men with Lucifer, who is also known as the devil.

Hi MyJesusFilledShishiLife95. I recommend the Bible Project video on the Soul, explaining it simply to mean “the whole person or being”, and not the invisible, eternal, inner self as so many think.
“Spirit” is more nuanced. “God is spirit” as Jesus said, but man is “dust” as the OT says repeatedly. I take that to mean humankind is NOT spirit, as much as spiritual minded people (strongly influenced by the Greeks) want to believe.
So what does the Bible refer to when talking about man’s spirit? Do a word study of the OT and you might find Spirit (when talking about man) refers mostly to his emotional state and attitudes. People had a spirit of fear, anxiety, courage, faith, wisdom, musical or visual artistic skill (very feeling based). Attitudes and feelings - not an inner self, or essence.
Im not sure what benefit there is in believing we humans are not spirits - people do fine believing that - but I believe it to be true and think some scriptures make more sense with this understanding. Still deeply mysterious!

Regarding this my parents told me that I could view like this:
My body/physical is myself, my soul/mental is also myself and my spirit/spiritual is myself as well. This is a bit like a trinity since we were created in the image of God, we exist in 3 dimension like He is 3 in 1.
So the human being is physical, mental and spiritual and God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit
I also like using the equilateral triangle: it’s 3 points, equal sides/angles but one figure.
    Hope this helps someone else.

A friend who is a Christian told me a comparison of us humans to understand Gods tri-unity.
I am going to write what we spoke of with each other but also elaborate/streamline what he said.
”Take a person. If I were to remove one of their arms, which part would be you?”
And I would respons with ”The rest of the body thats not the removed arm”.
He’d say ”lets say we continue this process a few more times, removing parts and such untill there was only the brain left, is that you?”
”That is my brain, but that is not ”me” me, or at least I don’t think so, I don’t really know what is ”me” completely.”
”Hm. Have you heard of The ship of Theseus? Its that ancient thought experiment where a boat has its parts replaced over the years, each part getting repaired and replaced until all the Wood of the old ship is replaced, is it the same ship?”
”Yes and no, the identity is the same, but it clearly isnt the exact same ship”
”Look at you when you were younger. You are completely different from what you were then. Your personality, your body, your behaviours and thoughts are not remotely the same as you were when you were little, yet you and I still recognize that as ”you”, because your body is only part of the equation of what is ”you”. Your body, your mind, your soul. Three seperate things, yet they individually are aspects of ”you”. But your mind is not your body, but both are part of you. That is the same about god, and just like you are divided into different parts, complex and maybe hard to understand. But together they make up a whole that transcends each individual aspects.”
I am not a Christian, but It did help me make sense of the unknowable, even if I don’t completely understand or comprehend God, but glad to know that you don’t have to comprehend God to understand that he loves you and you can love him back.

He will speak to you personally through it, trust me I wake up everyday with a new message he gives me. Once you start to put effort in getting closer to him, he starts to speak to you in ways only you can understand. He’s God, not a human being, he has infinite knowledge and love that we cannot understand while we are human, he was able to create reality and the universe, his knowledge is unbelievable, we have curiosity but it’s wise to understand that we cannot know everything, once we are with God in heaven, we will be able to understand him and be perfect.

My explanation to the trinity, is H20(water)
It can be liquid, ice or gas(vapor)
But all three forms are water
    Just like God
Father, Jesus( God in flesh) and Holy spirit
But are all the same and one.
------> Also us as human are trinity
    Flesh, spirit and soul
Its complicated for us humans to understand, but one day I hope to see our savior and ask all these questions. Our work is to believe in him, not to understand, he is to glorious to understand ( he is literally out of this world) , our humanity and closed minds are too small.

    • @truthbetold7170
      @truthbetold7170 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

The trinity is anything but beautiful, It is pure deception. the is only one God we do agree on that but you think that Jesus is God and that couldn't be further from the truth. the Father is the only true God. Jesus is the only true Son of God. The trinity has perverted what the Godhead really is and is leading thousands away from the one true God who is the Father.
According to Jesus, who is the Lord of heaven & earth? (Matthew 11:25)
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
According to Jesus, who will the true worshippers worship? (John 4:23)
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship himself.
      Apostles (James 2:9, 1 Timothy 2:5, 1 Corinthians 8:6)
James 2:9 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Who is the head of all things? (1 Corinthians 11:3, Ephesians 4:6)
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
      Who is Christ? (Matthew 16:13)
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the son of man am?
Who did Jesus say that He was? (John 10:36)
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? Who did the Father say Christ was? (Matthew 3:17, Matthew 17:5)
Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Both times God spoke audible. This is something the Father regards as very important. In the new testament the father only spoke 3 times and then once again in Revelation. The point is this; if the father only speaks three times so rarely in the bible, surely what he has to say must be very important. In that he doesn't intrust it to an angel or prophets. It interesting that when the father said those word couldn't he have sent an angel to do that or a prophet, easily he could have, but he choose to say it himself. This is so important that he must not intrust it to anyone so he said it himself.

I remember being so confused about the Trinity and asking God to help me out. He led me straight to Ezekial 10 where Ezekial describes some of the beings around God's throne. I was mind blown. The cherubim, for example, have 4 distinct faces that look different, and their spirit is within a wheel beneath them. Yet Ezekial automatically understood that each set of those 4 distinct faces / a wheel was considered 1 cherub. ------------------------------------------- As humans, we only know an existence where every living thing has 1 person per 1 being. It's hard for us to grasp multiple persons unified in a single being because we do not see this on earth. The Almighty God Yahweh is 3 - Father, Son, Holy Spirit. One being called God, three distinct Persons. I love this because the Prophet Ezekial is accepted by Jews, Christians, and Muslims (Prophet Hizqeel). ------------------------------------------ * And yes I know ALL visuals of the Trinity break down theologically at some point. We can not fully understand the Holy God ... the visual helps us grasp the concept seen in the Bible, but it's not going to fully explain everything. People have used a variety of different visuals :)

      SuperKlizzard.
An interesting and unique perspective, but I must beg to differ.
The Cherubim being made up of seemingly multiple persons or faces could also
indicate that angels are separate individuals but can group together as if one being.
That is a more reasonable explanation to me, than to suppose that God is a Trinity of three distinct persons and that cherubim are like Him, but have four personalities.
For one thing, according to the traditional Trinity doctrine, the three persons are not grouped together in one body, but are fully distinct and operate in ways that another divine person is unaware of.
I will stick with the so-called heresy of modalism. It make perfect sense to me.
      Peace and blessings to you.

    • @superklizzard3195

      Hello the nowchurch,
It could, however each cherub has one spirit in the wheel under it, and Ezekial (and through Him the Holy Spirit) named each set a single cherub. Trying to make them into 4 angels that grouped together goes beyond Scripture in an attempt to fit Scripture into what one would like it to say.
I realize I did the same thing, as well, my friend. Scripture doesn't give enough information for me to say with confidence that the cherubs have 4 persons. While that imagery was a lightbulb moment in helping me understand, I shouldn't have claimed that the cherubim actually have 4 Persons.
iI's a lovely visual just as a clover is a visual. And I appreciate it being from Scripture. ALL visuals will break down at some level.
I don't know enough about Modalism to comment! There's a wide umbrella from Sabellianism to the more modern Oneness Pentecostalism.
      Peace,
      Klizz

All this just leads back to when Jesus said I tell you of earthly things and you believe not, how can I tell you of heavenly things. John 3:12
The carnal mind belief is based off understanding. The carnal mind can not understand the things of God. Everytime we attempt to explain stuff like this we limit God to our limitations. When god is ready for us to understand we will.
Imagine if Jesus went in-depth about heaven, they would of attempted to kill him way sooner.

I think you’re right. I believe He is and has always been ready, though. We are the ones not ready. I gather that we can experience Him as much as we give ourselves up to Him. It’s not a matter of understanding, but of faith! Also, Our limits are not only the natural ones, but our lack of faith also limits our relationship with Him, thus, His revelation of His plans and Himself to us.

      @TheYogaDen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Your comment is awesome. I'm a yogi, but love Christ and his teachings. In yoga philosophy we learn that before we can know what lies outside of our understanding (what you called carnal mind belief) we must first have an equanimous mind. Ways in which one's mind become equanimous is through extinguishing the passions and becoming friendly and/or compassionate and/or joyful towards all things - when these cannot apply, be neutral and let the mind remain equanimous. I think of the equanimous mind as being 'Christ like'.
We're told that the equanimous mind cannot be understood or taught to us - it can only be experienced. In this way, the limitations of our words and understanding do not limit what lies beyond these things (God) to enter and fill us. At this time we become 'one with God' or 'live in the light of God'.
Knowing God may not be possible but knowing of God will light up life with the power of a thousand suns.
      God bless.

@@Juduh Hello. Salvation is a beautiful thing for those who ask Christ for forgiveness of their sins, and will be welcomed into heaven.
Some, however, know that Christ loves them unconditionally and need not seek His forgiveness. They live a life in devotion to Him. Rather than spending their time acting and thinking in ways which make them pray for forgiveness from the Lord, they spend their time praising Him, honoring Him, loving Him, following Him, emulating Him.
What is salvation for the yogi? The same as for anyone who wishes to spend their eternal life with God... Dedication to Him. Not talking at Him, but listening to Him. For this, the mind must be silent.

God is so transcendent and glorious! The heavens cannot contain all His glory yet He still hasn't forsaken us even though we were once His enemies. He loves us! Those are wonderful news. Who are we that the Lord who is holy holy holy would dare to bless us and atone for our sins just so we could be with Him? Sing praises to His name and declare His glory and sovereignty over everything that exists! How do I love him! ❤️ And how does He love us! ❤️❤️❤️

Here is one. Rev. 7:13 “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?” 14 So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one who knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 That is why they are before the throne of God, and they are rendering him sacred service day and night in his temple; and the One seated on the throne will spread his tent over them. 16 They will hunger no more nor thirst anymore, neither will the sun beat down on them nor any scorching heat, 17 because the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, will shepherd them and will guide them to springs of waters of life. And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes.”

Wow. Couldn't help but notice that your "translation" renders the Greek word "He" (or ὅς) as "God". When properly translated, 1 Timothy 3:16 actually argues against the trinity. The KJV has long surpassed its purpose. Time to move on to a translation that was actually written by learned scholars, maybe.

    • @Gaminglord123
      @Gaminglord123 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Colonel Burton,
While I largely agree with your sentiments regarding the KJV, though it still has a special place in my heart, as far as variant readings of the New Testament go, 1 Timothy 3:16 is an insignificant one. ὅς or θεός, the meaning doesn't actually change, since the "He" referred to is Jesus, who is clearly God.
Yes, if we're to be entirely accurate to modern scholarship, ὅς is the preferable reading, and more probably reflects the original than θεός but outside of textual critical studies or maybe certain apologetics situations, I don't believe it to be very important. I'd much rather talk about the Pericope Adulterae, for example, but I digress.
Finally, I'd like to point out that the Church Fathers, when quoting/commenting on the passage, very clearly deemed it to be referring to God, the creator, becoming incarnate. Two examples are Saint John Chrysostom's Homily XI on First Timothy, and Saint Gregory of Nyssa's "Against Eunomius", Book IV.

    • @HickoryDickory86
      @HickoryDickory86 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

ὅς is the relative pronoun "who," "what," or "which," if we want to be technical. But "who" is being discussed is the point. Paul had just written that "the household of God" is "the church of the living God." So the "who" is "the living God … who was revealed in the flesh" (ὅς ἐφανερώθη ἐν σαρκί)-i.e., Jesus. Either that, or it is the "the mystery of godliness … which was revealed in the flesh." Which still gets us to the same place, because the "mystery" is vindicated, seen, proclaimed, believed on, and glorified-i.e., still Jesus, given divine honors.
That said, "God" is not the fault of the King James translators. Θεός is the reading in the Byzantine/Majority text and found its way also into Erasmus' Greek New Testament.

The trials are the catalyst for being saved and having eternal life. With out the struggles I may have been lost to the weeping and gnashing of teeth in eternal fire.

      Also, He said this stuff.
Luke 14:33 (KJV) "So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple."
Luke 12:33-34 (KJV) "[33] Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
[34] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV) "[24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
[25] Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
[26] Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
[27] Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
[28] And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
[29] And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[30] Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
[31] Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
[32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
[33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
[34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) "[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20],Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Eternity is very very interesting and a very beautiful thing every Christian should be waiting and preparing themselves for. Here's a different way of seeing it, everybody will have eternity. Eternity with God or eternity without God. 1 Cor. 8:3 says those that love Him are known by Him! And then John 14:15 says if you love me obey my commandments. That's eternity! To know Him and be known by Him! This time here on Earth is a dressing room for eternity, let the King of Kings and Lord of lords have His reward!
