Mark I'm a long time subscriber and I've been meaning to mention something. I always enjoy your reviews and one of the best bits is when you sit on the bike and show us the way it fits you. This is very helpful information. The coverage of the controls, specs and features is always complete.

By far the best review I have seen of this bike on TH-cam. Some of the oversubscribed vloggers should take note. Less irritating music and imagery and more information. Your reviews always provide me with all the information I am looking for, even down to the crucial, but overlooked by other vloggers, low down top gear tractability. I wouldn't buy a bike that didn't pull well from low down in top gear. I f I was in the market for a litre inline four, it would be this bike.

@@markpulling12 Hello Mark. Well, I've had my 2022 GSX-S1000 for close to 10 months now and while it has been a fantastic bike to own, I sorely miss the ZX6R I had a couple of years back. I ended up test riding a used 2021 model at a dealer near me a couple of weeks ago and fell back in love with the engine character, powerband and nimbleness of that bike. Unfortunately the custom paint scheme on the bike I test rode was not to my liking. I have decided to trade in my Gixxus for a 2023 black ZX6R which was the last one available within hundreds of miles of my area. The 2023 ZX6R is one of the hottest bikes this year according to all the dealers I called to try to acquire one. If all goes well, I'll be riding home tomorrow on the ZX6R. Do you still have your ZX6R?

@@markpulling12 Well, that is my new word for the day. At first I wondered how the front of the new Suzuki looked like a jar of yeast extract, but after researching further, believe you meant that the way the headlight(s) look is very polarizing, with some liking it and some disliking it.

  • @rocksnrolls8664

I brought a pre registered GSX-S750 back in May and the bike is fantastic. The mid range on the bike is excellent. Not sure how I feel about the look of the front lights on these new versions but I am sure they will grow on me. Comfortable for long rides but like you say there is a bit of weight put on the wrist but the seat isnt uncomfortable. Great bike all round. Also just to mention the exhaust/engine sounds good especially when accelerating quickly through the gears.

Mark, I think that you are a mind reader ! I was thinking earlier in the day; "when is Mark going to review the new GSX1000," Guess what; I started up my pc clicked on youtube and there it was ! ! Your review ! ! How is that for a coincidence ! !
Anyway, enough of that. This is a great bike at a very good price compared to a lot of other manufactures. OK the exotics (Ducati, Aprillia etc) are great and fantastic bikes but the Suzuki is well worth to consider if I would up-grade for poor fellas like myself.
More than powerful enough with some toys, great looking at a fantastic price mark, what else is there to wish for. I would go for the blue one. Good review as per normal Mark, keep them coming ;) (sounds great on the standard can as well)

It's a good allrounder but I feel it's pretty short geared, 5,000 RPM at 70 in top gear. My old faithful SV1000 is doing 80 at those revs but nevertheless feels like it could use a 7th gear, the torque is so strong. That said, it doesn't much care for much below 34 MPH in top gear, unlike this bike. Can't have it all ways I suppose !
    Great review Mark.

I test rode one yesterday and holy crap the torque. I didn´t how to fettle all the controls but i figured out how to change the TC and what a difference it was on the low end pick up. It felt sluggish going from 1 to 2, i didn´t try 3 or without tc. Seat was fantastic. Seating position felt great. The gear lever was a bit tight with raceboots on and took a bit get used to. The one critique i have is no cruise control. If it´s not a superbike in 2021 it should have cruise control even atleast as an option. Maybe the QS going down at low rpm was abit laggy but that could just be rider error but i just found easier to blip it myself.

Agree the is a good review Mark. I like that you engaged with viewers. I'm in the market for a bigger bike and the GSX S1000 is on my list. The 750 too for a bargain deal. Here's the thing. Where I live down under in NZ the following range of bikes are only 500 pounds apart from cheapest to most expensive. In price order; MT09SP, Z900, Street Triple R and GSX S1000. So really nothing in it at all. Quite different bikes. Which would you park in your garage for the foreseeable future? Thanks again.

Definitely low geared you can pull away on the flat with a bit of clutch slip in 6th gear , regardless of that it's a really enjoyable package for the money and almost bulletproof reliability.

I need your help guys. I bought this machine about 2 month ago. Bought it with 1k km and at about 2500 rpm without gas i hear some wierd buzzing. Is this normal? I talked with Suzuki about it and they "looked" at it, and they said its completly normal.. I dont know what to do. Maybe some of you had the same experience. Thanks :)

Nice bike but a couple of negatives. 1) No cruise control. I would opt for the MT-09 SP just to get cruise control. 2) Personal preference - not a fan of the ugly headlight. Would want to swap that out.

No cruise control, I take it? It's shocking how lazy I have become, but it's one of those make / break things for me nowadays. Looks like a fantastic bike in any case, though. I've had two Suzukis in the past and was a very happy camper. Thank you for the review!

@@markpulling12 Good points made Mark. I actually have had many GSX-R750s over the years and many years ago had a 2002 GSX-R1000 which was a beast. I love the Gixxer engine and how nicely it winds up and the unique sound it produces especially with an aftermarket exhuast. Right now my current and favorite ride is a 2021 MT-07. I can't get enough of it and find it a blast to ride and excellent for the daily commute and lane filtering. I just would like something a little more powerful for the times I want that power and better suspension/stability. I'm just wondering if the MT-09 would be too similar to the MT-07? I like to have a definitive contrast in the bikes I own.

I recently bought this bike and love it... I wanted it last year for the 2022 model but lack of cruise and the terrible... and I mean TERRIBLE display made me hold off. Finally bit though. It's an incredible machine nonetheless. I know it's a naked bike but I installed a Puig touring windscreen to take the brunt of the wind off my chest and it made a world of difference.
