Hey Gang, The weekend is here!! Hope you enjoy this video. Tried a couple of new things so let me know what you think in the comments and give it a like if you enjoyed it. Have good one 🍻
Great review on a awesome underrated bike I bought one 2 yrs ago, fitted Puig touring screen and SW Motec Blade pannier system. Travelled many miles , comfortable and fast enough. Blade panniers come off completely in minutes! Much better than costlier competition in my opinion
Excellent review, I have the new one myself after having three previous models and this is the best by far. Well done Suzuki, this one's a box ticker 🙂
@@usbsol the power delivery all through the rev range feels much stronger and the handling is more precise, however, since my first comments I've had a couple of issues with the engine. The first was the crankshaft positioning sensor being 10 thou out causing lazy starting and a chattering noise from the starter motor area (resolved under warranty), and I now have a tappet like noise upon start-up when hot (lasts for around a minute) which is yet to be investigated
@@alanpark7839did you get the tappet noise fixed under warranty? What did the dealer say about it? Common issue? Also, I’ve owned the 2015 GSX S1000F and I loved everything about the bike except that jerking when following behind a car in town traffic. Has that issue been sorted? I assume you have experienced this with the previous model?
Florme6494 the tappet noise wasn't fixed for me under warrranty due to me trading it in for a new blue and white one in 2023, but it was approved by Suzuki UK to have the cam chain tensioner replaced by the dealership. The throttle snatch was non existant on this model and power delivery smoother and stronger than the previous generations ( I had a 2016, 2017 and 2019 aswell as a 2021 and currently 2023), I shall probably change again in September this year.
One of the most chill reviewers out there. Its funny that you have the ZH2, wich was my go to bike. But because i wanted the SE edicion, and i was suppose to get a good deal on it, it turned out it had only 9km, but as soon as the first owner got it out, it wreked it. So it was a repaired bike, wich im never going to buy. Then i saw the GSX S1000, and many reviews and reading about it, ive ordered mine in black, with the new TFT screen borrowed from the GSX S8. It should be here in Spain at the end of november 2024. Cant wait. I know its not H2 power, but i hope it will put a half smile on my face compared with the ZH2..lol. Thanks for the review tho! very good job you did there! ;)
Digging your style, subbed. I picked up an 2018 GSXS1000F 3 days ago. That induction growl is addictive! I think learning how to roll the throttle rather than twist it has really benefitted me when riding this bike. It's like a Bandit 1200 but modern and on steroids.
Hello again mate, I placed an order for a brand new 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000 with the akrapovic and tail tidy. I wouldn't have dared to go for the bike without this fantastic review!
Morning mate, oh wow that's awesome! Congratulations mate, what a cracking bike you will have. It will sound so good with that Akra too. So glad the review helped and that you really enjoy your new beast. Cheers 🍻

I am close to pulling the trigger on this bike. I am in Tromsø, Norway - where new bikes are indeed hard to come by. So I will have to travel for several hours even by plane to get on one. I am 6'4 (192cm) and around 130KG (20.5 stone). My only "doubt" is the fit of the bike... You are tall and say it is comfy, and I've heard other say it is comfy. So I almost want to just pull the trigger on the bike and have them send it lol. I want to again commend this review. It is great. You give your true opinion, you compare it to other bikes. That is so much more value than the standard spec sheet readout that a lot of reviewers rely on.

It didnt feel cramped for me and is a relaxed but fun riding position. I totally understand that it would be best to at least try for size first though. Let me know how you get on. Cheers 🍻
Hi Wayne, yeah it's a cracking bike. Bargain really if you won't miss some of the extra gadgets the others have. Could save you thousands. Personally I don't think it needs them anyway. Thanks for watching. Cheers 🍻
@ws Watched the review again. Excellent. Last year I bought a GSX 8S, which I love. The torquey engine and the quick shifter encourages short shifting. It feels grunty and is quick enough. Excellent dash, great cornering stability. But I am still tempted by the S1000. It seems to be a proper grown up bike. And super-bike level performance at a very low price here. The proper big bikes were always fours. The GSXR is a legend. More torque than the even cheaper GSX S750. And I do not like the adventure bikes that guys my age all seem to ride. Very very tempted to upgrade....
Have a black 2023. I've owned everything under the Sun and this feels like Suzuki custom molded it to my body, and I can run with anyone on it. Needs a shock though.
Nice video, thanks, went out and bought one ,to be fair can't really fault it.I ride few different machines and if you had to choose a all rounder, this would fit the bill. Some of the more expensive ones are definitely not twice the bike.Taking mine to spain over a big gs1250,less luggage but going be more fun.
Very nice review. I've subscribed! Like this bike a lot. It's got the perfect blend of everything for me personally & it's also one of the best value bikes on the market imo. I think a reliable 165bhp could be relatively easily achieved. FYI, the black one's the fastest. ; )
Thank you mate. Much appreciated. You might be right on the colour haha. Yes totally agree, it's a great value offering with tuning potential for those who want more. A full system, filter and tune would make this sound epic. 👌 cheers 🍻

Thank you mate, appreciated. It's such a great bike. Can't blame you as its got just the right amount of power, it's light and had all day comfort. I'd definitely have one myself. Enjoy mate. Cheers 🍻
I got this bike last week, and on Friday when I wanted to register it they said the dealership gave me the wrong papers, so I couldn't pick it up that day either. Pissed me off. Gonna try tomorrow.
I agree with everything I tested it a few weeks back it looks great in real life …just a lovely bike to ride ..I tested the grey I never would believe it but greys now my favourite on this…
Thank you my friend. I know right, same with me but now I think Grey looks awesome on that bike. Very cool, get a naughty tinted screen and exhaust and the bike is the bomb. Thanks for watching. Cheers 🍻
Thank you friend and I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. I'll keep working to bring the best content I can to the channel. Will hopefully have the GSX-S1000 GT video up in a few weeks too. Cheers 🍻
Hi, having only been riding for about 3 years and currently riding a Triumph Tiger Sport 660, would you say this is a too bigger jump and would be better looking at the 950?
Yep, comfortable, nice tone and fun are key considerations, spot on. Ive already gelled with mine to the point where im not thinking, just doing, and I can't wait to have some proper adventures with it. Cheers
Just found your channel. That’s a really informative, sensible review. I’m finding my ZX9R a bit uncomfortable to ride these days (due to dodgy knees!) so I’ve been thinking about one of these. The engine sounds a peach & the quick shifter & blipped is great. I think I’ll book a test ride when the weather improves. Cheers
Hi David, happy new year mate and welcome to the channel. She really is a peach and all day comfort for sure. Plus with a few mods she will sound and perform amazingly. Although even stock she sounds great. Let me know.how you get on mate. Cheers 🍻
I recently bought this bike and love it... I wanted it last year for the 2022 model but lack of cruise and the terrible... and I mean TERRIBLE display made me hold off. Finally bit though because I could not resist the rest of this amazing motorcycle. It's an incredible machine nonetheless. I know it's a naked bike but I installed a Puig touring windscreen to take the brunt of the wind off my chest and it made a world of difference.
Thanks for your thoughts mate. Have you tried an LCD flip kit? Cheap and helps with the screen. Wicked bike, just love that engine. But with some.nauhjty mods will make it a beast. Cheers 🍻
Most comfortable... its a tough one but for taller bigger guys I would say either the GSX-S1000 or the ZH2. The reason being they are less of an extreme riding position. Bikes like the Duke R for example or more lent over, sporty riding positions. Does that help? Cheers 🍻
Hi Rev-views. I am a similar height and weight to what you mention in the video. Do you find this bike roomy enough for you as a taller bloke? I have ditched full sports bikes now as I am just too cramped. The GSX-S1000 looks a great compromise. Thanks.
Hello my friend. Yeah I think you would get on with it just fine. Its not as hard-core a position as some naked and I think that's works in its favour. Test ride to be sure of course. Let me know what you think. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews It is frustrating for me, some manufacturers have the bits I want stock on their bikes, but they are too tall for my little legs... others fit well but don't... it is a cracking bike from what I gather. Do you have any new reviews/videos coming soon? 🙂
I hear you mate. Keep an eye on the aftermarket scene as well, sometimes you can buy the extra bit you need and retrofit. I've had a long break from YT due to many personal/life things happening one after another. However I am actually just about to get back into things slowly. Maybe even this Saturday. I'll just need to build back up slowly to begin with.
Great review.. just subscribed. Looking at this bike or an MT 10. I use for commuting and weekend fun, so thinking this will be a better option. Might miss the hooligan aspect of an MT 10 but more likely to keep my licence! Lol
Thanks Rob, appreciated mate. Lol yeah I know what you mean on that front. I think you'd get plenty of fun from this bike, plus....there's always tuning if you get the itch. Cheers 🍻
Thank you my friend. Really appreciate that. Maybe not as polished as some of the bigger channels but I'm working hard on the channel all the time. Cheers 🍻
Ah congratulations mate, what a great machine. Does suck about the weather but will be well worth the wait. You get to go out soon and bed her in. Best time. 👌 Cheers 🍻
I'm hoping to review the 2023 MT-10 in the future however I would say the MT is more of a bruiser with more power and gadgets, but it also costs a fair bit more as well, over £2k more. So you do get more for your money with the MT but the GSX-S1000 is still that value offering.
@@Revviews Blue, mainly because of the blue wheels mate. Had a busa for 2 years, to fast....yes I said it lol.?..so bought a new gsxs750, cracking street bike then suzuki offered me an upgrade to the thousand on a deal. Tons of pace and the handling and quickshifter are excellent.
I own 950 in white-red painting. It has same engine and if you update engine-maps you can unblock it to 150HP ;). And I love this bike - the way it handles, it's so stable, predictable, the sound(!), the looks, for me it's awesome! And unlike most modern machines it still has 4 cylinders! And the sound - sounds like proper bike! Not like lawn mower - like other modern bikes ;). I rode 7000km and so far no issues at all. I bought heated grips, windshield from puig so longer distances with 160kmh speed are no problem at all. The only thing I plan to improve is: handlebar risers and to increase sit height by few cm (I'm 183cm height have long legs, I travel sometimes many hours and after 2-3 hours my knees start to hurt) Some people complain the bike lacks all fancy new tech - tft, bluetooth, lean-abs, plenty of modes, options, ... - to be fair for me simplicity is the plus! The LCD is very clean and easy to read. I have all info I need: speed, rpms and range till refuelling. When I sat on bmw, yamaha mt - these screens are so complicated. For me it has one downside - the speedometer lies. It's says 100kmh, while on gps it shows ~95kmh. But when you ride 160kmh, you check gps and in fact it's 150kmh! 180kmh = 168kmh on gps. I would prefer speedometer was more accurate. Also I guess it might be similar on other bikes.
Thanks for the vid. Enjoed it. I really like the bike, looks, possibly, apart. When you say that the bike doesn't have stuff others do, it's really not lacking much (the MT 09 has all the stuff the superbikes you list have, and that's just £9,000). It's really just a question of silly amounts of unusable HP for the poser bikes.
Hi Clive, you're welcome and thanks for your support. Oh totally, that's what I'm saying. Its great value. It's more the smaller things like big tft screens, sat nav, app Integration, Bluetooth communication/audio to name a few. None of them are essential. So in litre category it's a bargain really. I'll be reviewing the MT-09 in the coming weeks, looking forward to that 😁 Cheers 🍻
I wanted this bike so badly I test rode it 3 times...but I just couldn't handle that LCD screen in bright sunlight you couldn't see a thing! And having ridden 20+ years I know the last thing you want is to be focusing on a dial trying to read it when you should be focusing on the road. Really bad engineering mistake by Suzuki. In the end I opted for another brand naked. I'll review the GSX S1000 in 2/3 years by which time hopefully they'll have added cruise control + the TFT screen from the S1000GT. Oh Suzuki.....I was so ready for you to have taken my money :( and how many others too? All for a £25 cost saving measure......
Hi mate, yeah I understand where you are coming from. They probably should have added the same screen they are now putting on the GT. However you can get an LCD flip kit that you simply add to the screen yourself and that sorts the glare out. As for cruise control you can retro fit if you would use that much? Or look at the GT as that covers everything you mentioned. Apart from not being a naked. But 95% of the GSX-S1000 is awesome is think. Great value as well compared with the majority of big nakeds What did you actually buy in the end out of curiosity? Brand new? Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews I got the z900 in the end. I found a brand new 2021 model for £8k which was just too big of a saving to pass up. That's £3k less than the s1000 and almost £4k for the GT. Coming of an sv1000 I like effortless engines, I could never ride a buzzy engine ever again. It's got a good fuel tank, good riding position, nice torque laden engine and.......a TFT ;) My plan is keep it 2/3 years then trade it for a the S1000 when they upgrade the LCD screen or get a 1KGT or a Ninja SX1K. I really love the engine in the XSR 900 too (again, lots of torque) and they've just given it a engine overhaul making it even better in 2022 but the fuel tanks too small (14 litres is horrid....) so if they up the fuel tank that will be on my shortlist as well.
@@Rosseboi Very nice mate, great bike. You might know already however I have the Z H2 and it's just incredible, effortless torque due to the forced induction. Can highly recommend that if you ever want mega fast but also smooth and effortless. Also has tft and cruise ;)
@@Revviews and a 19 litre fuel tank! ;) Providing it's got a nice comfortable riding position it will definitely make my short list. I should be in a much better position financially in 2/3 years and want to treat myself to something really nice. I'll let you know when the time comes! 👍
@@Rosseboi sweet, just filmed the review. Out in a couple of weeks. It's an honest one (as always) but you'll see what I mean in the video, mainly about mpg. Not that I care about mpg though :)
Hey Simon, if you have just passed congratulations mate. I would say no, it will be a great bike. It all comes down to self control at the end of the day. Definitely logic in building up to bigger cc machines however that is also costly. But on the flip it will give you something to build up to. However start by using it in the lower power modes, build confidence and you'll be fine. Trust me, she's quick even in low power.
Really good review mate. I think I'm going to buy one of these in the future. Probably pick up a second hand one when available to save a few grand. I am currently riding a Suzuki bandit 1250 which doesn't even have abs! 😂. Cheers from New Zealand 👍
Hey Steve, thank you mate, I appreciate that and really pleased you enjoyed the review. Working on improving with each one. Yeah good idea that, will.be a bargain. I know right, I was thinking back to the R1 I had also, no ABS, traction control or rider modes and the brakes in comparison to nowadays were terrible. Really did have to learn and respect the bike. Thank you my friend, cheers 🍻 from the UK.

Cheers 🍻
K5 GSXR motor Suzuki for $11K US I am planning to make my purchase as soon as one comes available.
It's a peach for sure, plus upgraded internals/components, a tuners dream.
Cheers 🍻
I have an issue. this one, or Mt-09, or Z900 ? Pls help (pretty much the same price in my country)
I would shortlist down to this and the MT-09, try both then go with the one you like the most. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews thank you so much 🙏
Which naked do you find the most comfortable for guys our size?
Most comfortable... its a tough one but for taller bigger guys I would say either the GSX-S1000 or the ZH2. The reason being they are less of an extreme riding position. Bikes like the Duke R for example or more lent over, sporty riding positions. Does that help? Cheers 🍻
Helps a lot. Thx for the reply.
Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews Cheers for the reply fella.
Great review 🙂
Just wish they had put cruise control on it instead of the quick shifter 🙂
Thank you mate, much appreciated 👍
You know, that's a great point. I do love the bike though.
Cheers 🍻
Great review, only just found your channel and have subscribed. keep the real life reviews coming Sir, it's what a majority of us really appreciate!
Thank you my friend. Really appreciate that. Maybe not as polished as some of the bigger channels but I'm working hard on the channel all the time. Cheers 🍻
Got mine Saturday... had nothing but rain since 😪
Ah congratulations mate, what a great machine. Does suck about the weather but will be well worth the wait. You get to go out soon and bed her in. Best time. 👌
Cheers 🍻
Bro it is no available in india😢😢
Hi mate. Ah that sucks bro. Can you import it? Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews bro but it's price will rise up Tu much high
@@uk0707raptor That sounds like a great investment to me?
Just got mine 2 weeks ago , same colour😁 what a bike!! Great rewiev dude🤘 keep it up
Hey congratulations my friend. Its an epic machine. Thank you and enjoy brother. Cheers 🍻
How would you compare it to the Mt10?
I'm hoping to review the 2023 MT-10 in the future however I would say the MT is more of a bruiser with more power and gadgets, but it also costs a fair bit more as well, over £2k more. So you do get more for your money with the MT but the GSX-S1000 is still that value offering.
Thank you
As always your vids are very informative, you've covered everything! Keep up the awesome work mate, pukka! 👌
Ah thank you, really appreciated and I'll keep working on the content for you mate. Cheers 🍻
The Gsxs needs a modern TFT!!
Might come next year, but with a small bump in price I'd say. Cheers 🍻
Good review.
Thank you mate. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviewssubscribed and will watch more.😁
@@lashmeliodas58 Appreciated mate and lots coming this year 😁
Just bought one, love it. Great review
Hi Gary, congratulations 😊 Thank you mate. Cracking bike, which colour did you go for?
@@Revviews Blue, mainly because of the blue wheels mate. Had a busa for 2 years, to fast....yes I said it lol.?..so bought a new gsxs750, cracking street bike then suzuki offered me an upgrade to the thousand on a deal. Tons of pace and the handling and quickshifter are excellent.
What is a stone?
A measurement of weight. If you Google it you can convert to what you need as a comparison. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews from what century?
@@dorstefan Look it up....
Frankly, Suzuki can and should make cheaper, low tech ( no TFT bs ), round/ traditional headlight, no traction control version of s1000.
@umakantgajjewar8898 it's a good point you make to be honest.
This Suzuki GSXS1000 or Kawasaki Z1000SX ??? 🤔
@@mnnend5480 tough choice, ride em both 💪
Cheers 🍻
The cable/wire arrangement on the bars looks like an afterthought. You can tell this bike was built to be as cheap as possible.
Hmmm, not sure that's what they were aiming for lol. It's an incredible machine in terms of value/performance.
2 teth more on the back sprocket(46) and more grunt and wheelies✊🔥🔥
Ooh yes mate! Beast mode. Have a good one pal. Cheers 🍻
Already seeing these going for 7k 2nd hand
Wow that's incredible value, truly. At that price I might get one too
@@Revviews is it worth this model though over previous one as same engine and power delivery but new one weighs more
@Daniel Griffiths Upto the rider/buyer really. Just comes down to preference unless pushing the bike to its very limits.
The only thing I plan to improve is: handlebar risers and to increase sit height by few cm (I'm 183cm height have long legs, I travel sometimes many hours and after 2-3 hours my knees start to hurt)
Some people complain the bike lacks all fancy new tech - tft, bluetooth, lean-abs, plenty of modes, options, ...
I had one 16 plate , didn’t particularly like it , sold it on.
@philhill7973 cool. Not the same bike though huh.
Yeah
Lol, you like? Cheers 🍻
Very good motorcycle
Really is, cheers 🍻
wow. how does nobody mention this bike in comparsion videos? too new? its the best of all naked bikes
Its certainly great value overall and excellent fun to ride. Thanks for watching. Cheers 🍻
Excellent 👌🏾 as to be expected and your happiness regarding the induction 😜👍🏾. #WellDone
Thank you!! 😁
Great value as well compared with the majority of big nakeds
What did you actually buy in the end out of curiosity? Brand new?
It's got a good fuel tank, good riding position, nice torque laden engine and.......a TFT ;)
My plan is keep it 2/3 years then trade it for a the S1000 when they upgrade the LCD screen or get a 1KGT or a Ninja SX1K.
KTM TOO MANY VIBES IN THE FOOT RESTS ... AND THAT WAS ON THE EVO TEST RIDE THIS WEEK ....

Hey Ross, yeah the Z900RS is a peach, SE makes it even better. Tough choice there my friend. Cheers 🍻
Love the video honest question if I’ve just passed my test would you say this would be a good choice? Or would it be a bit too much of a handful?
Hey Simon, if you have just passed congratulations mate. I would say no, it will be a great bike. It all comes down to self control at the end of the day. Definitely logic in building up to bigger cc machines however that is also costly. But on the flip it will give you something to build up to. However start by using it in the lower power modes, build confidence and you'll be fine. Trust me, she's quick even in low power.
Thank you I’ll definitely take note much appreciated 👍👍
Have the 2018 z model. Absolute beauty
100%, lovely bike 🏍 👌
Do it steve i loved it!
@@motorcyclemadness6006 it's probably going to take a year before a second hand one goes up for sale, I will need to be patient, unless I win lotto!😁

Why do you all think 2016 is bad?
I wouldn't say bad. More the newer one is an improvement
even 150hp is too much for the streets to enjoy without breaking the law
That's true. Even 125s can break the law. Hope you enjoyed the video and thanks thanks watching. Cheers 🍻
