Nice review. I like it. It's great value, simplicity & unintimidating ease of use really appeals to me. I really don't want a track focused 200bhp naked I can't use on the road as well as needing a computing degree to figure out the electronics. Each to their own but that kind of stuff just puts me off the simple joy of biking.
Thanks. Yes it’s all you need for the road. It makes it more affordable for everyone as well. Not everyone can afford £15,000-£20,000 for a motorbike 👍
I also drove this bike. It was great! This will be a great bike in the futute. The quickshifter is a nice upgrade in combination with the drive options.
This could be the next one for me, price point is great....still hoping a new mt10 comes out in the next year or 2 tho....but for now I'm more than happy with the 10 I've got🤤
Excellent review, nice ride and some really good video, I love this bike, I had the first generation 2016 model, I really noticed the twitchy throttle at first, then I just got used to it? absolutely bonkers at full chat on a decent road! I think I prefer this to the GT & GX, glad I found your channel 👍

Rode this 2021 gsx-s 1000 today as well... i normally ride the gsx-s 750 2020 daily. Comparison: 1000 feels lighter with steering: going from leaning left to right 1000 has vibrating mirrors when engine runs stationary and some vibrations in footpegs at low rpm: 2500-3500 rpm, while this is not the case with 750, or at least i never noticed it. Brembo brakes on 1000 feel better and i think can brake a bit harder than the nissin on 750 On 1000 you really notice you have to twist the throttle less to accelerate a bit Seating on 1000 is a little bit more upright, i think it is perfect. On gsx-s 750 you are a little bit more forward leaning, i prefer the new 1000 seating position. Final thing on 1000, i think the brightness of the screen at max should be a bit more brighter
It's the negative displays (light digits on black background) that are difficult to read. For whatever reason this seems to be a going trend across several brands and it needs to stop. Legibility, especially in bright days really would be nice. Certainly far less legible than 10 years ago when we had white background analogue tach that could be read instantaneously in ANY light. Sure digital is great, but please make it legible!
I think if you actually like the way it looks it’s a good buy. But I would really like to see a video of a night ride so I can see the function of those headlights.
Really like the looks of it and the forged carbon parts look great. Might have a test ride on one. Do you know when it will be available at Orwell motorcycles?
I have this in my collection. Can't wait to get the first service out of the way so I can really experience its power. Keen to compare against my 2019 GSXR1000R and 2024 Sporster S
I only just thought about this - from the side this actually looks more like the original GSR/GSX-S750. I like the angular look, I still need something more visually flowing to happen to the headlight and instrument panel though...to say nothing of aerodynamically flowing. Let's see what happens with the S1000T.
I have the gsr 750 it's a great bike. It does have an ugly swing arm so I have had the arm changed to the gsr 600 which has made a huge difference in looks. Only thing the gsr lacks is breaks really, the rest is really good and looks stylish. I am getting caliper upgrade soon
Was local to me then. Hope the test ride go well on Saturday. You should consider Gen 3 KTM Super Duke R. That’s the 2020-2021 model. That is a awesome bike. I have just bought one myself. Picking it up Saturday. You could probably get a 2020 bike for around £13,000.
Good day. The 2021 Suzuki gsx-s1000 had upgraded a Lot primarily the Looks with LED Headlight and Tail Light plus Indicators and in terms of Electronics, they add Quick Shifter and Auto Blipper, Riding Modes, 5 Stages of TC and Ride By-Wire Throttle. In fairness, with my 2020 Model gsx-s1000, the Throttle Response was SMOOTH already, there is no Snatchiness. I know the 2018 Model below has got the Problem with Snatchiness and the 2019 Model was Good but not Perfect...
Hello. I have only rode the 2015-2016 model and now this one. There is a big difference between the two. Good to hear the 2020 model has good throttle control 😬👍
I have my eye on one of these. Brand new 2023 is $12600 out the door. You really can't beat that at all. I have always been a Suzuki guy so this is definitely my kind of bike. I was originally going to get a Mt10. But I can't afford a brand new one and I don't want to buy a used one. I am sick of buying used stuff. So, Suzuki it is! My TL needs a rest. She is old.
Buy one, you won't regret it. Superb riding position, big torque with a top end rush, growls nicely through the airbox. I wanted a mt10 too, but saw a 2018 f version of this for a good price and just went for it. Its a helluva bike.
With full ride-by-wire, the enlarged 19L tank, Suzuki really should have installed cruise control. I understand it's expensive and extensive testing has to be undergone to make cruise function as required, but it really would have been great. It's not new to Suzuki as the new Hayabusa has it. I'm seriously considering an MT-09SP due to cruise (I've tried it on demo and it really is a revelation). I've been on long trips where my right arm just kills me with cramps and soreness due to holding throttle. I've also used throttle locks but they don't compensate for hills or wind. One thing of notice with the upgrade to all the instrument screens these days, there's a trend toward negative displays, whether LCD or color. They are stupid hard to read in bright light. What was wrong with a positive display (light background, dark digits)? Why are these new screens significantly harder to read? How is this better?
Hello yes It would of been nice to have cruise control. But It’s probably to do with cost. They have made it a affordable bike compared to a lot of other bike out there. Thanks for watching 😬👍
I really wish the Japanese manufacturers would go away from the transformers front, like the Triumph eyes, it is designed for teenagers, not grown ups that can afford these bikes. The new monster has a beautiful round headlight which look modern and classy, the Kawasaki z900rs has a nice modern round front light, so it’s not like they can not do them.
you clearly know nothing about japanese adults and their culture lol, round headlights are outdated. marketing wise this headlight was a smart decision (and it sure looks badass). no one wants the same look over and over. a bike needs to be exciting, refreshing and worthy of buying. like you mentioned, a grown up probably grew up with a specific design that is closer to them. same goes to new riders starting on these new looking bikes. in a few years these younger riders will be saying the same you said about newer gen bikes.
@@shapelessdreams sorry, I really don’t agree with that, good design is not dated in time, good design will always be timeless, very few Japanese bikes will be remembered by their design, maybe by their innovative mechanics and certainly their reliability, which is something the European manufacturer could learn a thing or two about. The headlight on the monster is a joy to behold, while the Suzuki gsxs1000 and the Yamaha mt 09 family look like being made by 7 year old, drawing with a ruler!!! Both the Suzuki and the Yamaha are probably some of the best bikes on the road today, but the design looks cheap and an-easy way out for me. Mind you, this is my opinion, but I am 100% sure that it will not be a design to remember.
@@gryphongryph to be remembered or not, designs wont be the same, even if it is perfect in your opinion. Time changes, and so do the people. If you dont philosophize, someone else will do it for you.
@@shapelessdreams i just find it cheap looking, not a big fan of KTM designs either, but the head light on the Duke looks much nicer, even if I am not sure it suits the bike that well, but the design itself is intriguing, while at the same time the new Speed Triple just look bland, probably just me, being more a fan of rounded design and a more conservative approach to headlight design. The rest of the SpeedTriple is gorgeous, although the info screen could look more simple and more upmarket. I just feel that a lot of manufacturers loose buyers of their bikes because of the exuberance use of pointy lines 😝
@@gryphongryph i mean u get that you cant please every single customer right? But judging sales, yamaha and suzuki are still leading the market for a reason. Seen it in person and the headlight looks superb compared to previous gen headlights.
