  • I was able to install a set of the Factory 47 14'' handle bars on my 2021 Harley Davidson Road Glide Limited using the stock cable. Did have to remove the top half of the cable and then re-route it in order to get it to reach the lever. I will be getting the longer cable if and when it is available. Thanks for watching and ride safe. Cliff

Thanks for doing this video man. I've got a 2022 Road Glide ST and I ordered the same bars from Dennis Kirk and they told me that the stock cables would fit but my Harley shop said anything over a 12 inch bar you need extended cables so I bought the extended cables to go with the bars; I'm glad I did.

Yeah I have those bars on my 17 roadglide l installed on myself I just wasn't comfortable with how tight there was so instead of doing all the other stuff I just let the dealer pull them in Hey it's Harley. Plus I had those black cables changed out changed out to Chrome or stainless steel but I had the black cables changed out. I got it but thanks for the video and the information because you're the only one that I've watched that admitted what you did to it.✌🏽👍🏼👍🏼

Just an FYI the pin is only on the wrong side for the limited/CVO models. I have a '21 Road Glide Standard model and the pin is in the correct place with the factory 47 14" bars. I like how you ran your wires through. Came to watch because I ordered heated grips so now I am going to have to tear mine apart again.

What causes the throttle to “stick” or not “snap back” is, they are pushed forward too tight against the switch housing.

Few things I did different...I put the entire cable in sheathing and shrink wrapped it up top at the controls and the cables didnt get hung up at ALL in my bars...then just cut it at the bottom. Turned out super nice even though no one will ever see it :D. The other thing was my controls had nubs on them that had to be knocked off before the controls could be mounted...I assume yours did to, you just didnt show it unless the 47 bars have holes for them too....which they may (I got LA choppers and they didnt).
