- My girlfriend Katie does her first mod on her 2020 Subaru Impreza sport, a nameless exhaust muffler delete! In my opinion this really brings out the "Subaru Rumble" in the car. This mod also works for equal year Subaru Crosstrek. The next couple things she wants to do with the car is Coilovers and bigger wheels.

The subie rumble comes from the UEL headers and those only came on the EJ motor for the wrx and sti lol

Hey guys! Much love on the mod, and did the same for my 2012 impreza. Just wanna ask if you guys have done anything in the way of reducing cabin noise and vibrations? Experienced a lot of the two after deleting the mufflers. Thanks!
Are these things you are experiencing when being under 2,000 RPM? If so that is what usually happens on muffler delete applications, the drone never really goes away. We try to keep it up in the RPM range and it usually goes away but on the highway it’s kinda tough to get away from.

Great car, sporty interior. Subaru’s AWD is no joke either, car feels like it’s on rails. Love it.
Not bad I have a 2020 subaru wrx with the invidia catback exhaust and I had to put the tomei Unequal length headers to get the rumble sound next step invidia catless down pipe but the impreza sounds good.

I have the same exact car, and now I'm considering it. However, would this void any warranties? Do I have to tune my car? Will any sensors go off? And is it easy to swap between them in the case that I ever need to? Sorry for all the questions! Awesome video :)
I’m not sure how it will affect any warranty’s but it is so easy to take on and off you could put your stock one back on before any appointments. No tune needed.

Hey man got the same car but the hatch version, what you think about the borla exhaust type s version for this car? And I would love to see the wheels/rims/coil over choice you make in the next mod. And the under lip spoiler would look tight I bet.
Man I totally forgot about a under lip spoiler! We will definitely be adding that to the mod list. As for the borla exhaust I am not super familiar with it, is it just a resonator and muffler combo? If so I don’t know that I would expect a much louder tone coming from something like that. I guess it all depends on what you’re going for.
@@sreed_ not too sure actually , I just don’t wanna mess with anything that involves resonators and catalytic converters in general so I might just to what you did to her car as well. Easy install too.

The drone is not bad at all, under 2000 rpm can get up there, but usually not under 2000 rpm anyway.. thank you so much for the support & being apart of the first big milestone!
Does this car have the cvt? If so, how do you feel it sounds under normal driving? Does it sound good or like a long fart can tranny slip?
I have the same exact car year color and everything. My only setback to getting this is is this car very fitting for a muffler delete? Or should I make some more cosmetic customizations first
Well being that it is a Subaru you are going to get a much nicer sound compared to any other inline 4 cylinder. I think it’s a great and easy first mod for the car. The next thing we are doing is bigger wheels and coil overs.

I’m planning on getting an Impreza and idk if I should do muffler delete or get aftermarket exhaust, cuz with muffler delete how will u pass emissions/inspection? I feel like it’d be better to just spend the money to put an aftermarket one on
you dont need a muffler to pass emissions. The catalytic converter is the only thing you really need unless you are in CA

So I have a 2020 impreza sport sedan and was just wondering if changing the exhaust caused any of your sensors to go off or if it affects the warranty (not that I plan on bringing it back to subaru after my next two free oil changes and any warranty repairs) i definitely want to get it just want to be safe
Nope no sensors past the cat.
Muffler delete would not void ANY warranty and the people doing your oil changes at the dealership don’t pay attention to that stuff. I have a lease and the guy who sold me the car told me that I’m free to do whatever to the car as long as I keep stock parts and that there wouldn’t be any problems with oil changes

Nice man, it’s off Nameless Exaust’s website. It’s somewhere around $250-300. They make them to order so it takes a few weeks to come in, but it is such nice construction.
Are there any additional things you need to by for the installation I bought a spray but that’s it
Your package should come with everything. PB blaster spray if the nuts and bolts are sticking

We definitely do, just a lot of projects in progress right now to take a good running car off the road for a little bit... this summer will be big for the Impreza I promise!

I chose the muffled version...the drone won't drive you nuts at highway cruising.
I went on the site that you bought your exhaust from and they do have a 3 inch and 5 inch do you think if I got the 5 inch It would be big or should I stick to the 3 inch which you have.I have a sport sedan your thoughts
I honestly think 5 would be way too big. The 3 is already pretty big compared to stock

They do make one that has a muffler. Not going to be as loud obviously but would still be nice.

It took a few weeks actually, but I think that’s because they build them once you order.

I have a question I have the same car does anyone know why the exhaust gets quieter after it warms up?
The engine settles and warms up, kinda like a house cracks when warming up or cooling down after a hot or cold day, you know?
does this same piece also work for the hatchback sport too?

Oh it’s ridiculous how heavy the stock one is compared to the nameless. Very noticeable

Picking up my 2020 Subaru Impreza tomorrow. I wanna do this so bad but I think any modification will void the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty lol

I can’t say for sure, but the only thing that controls emissions of your engine is the cat, so I would think you would still pass.

I just got an 08 Subaru Impreza 2.5i, I was wondering, do any of yall get a check engine like from a muffler delete? I just want to make sure before making that mod
I had an 06, 2.5i and never had issues with an axle back. My 21 STi has no issues with a cat back. As long as you don’t mess with the catalytic converter you’re all good pretty much.
Do you know if this can fit on a 2014 Impreza?
The spec on this part was from 2017+ so I am not totally sure that it would be an exact fit for a 2014. Would be worth shooting nameless an email to confirm.

@sReed nameless muffler is so worth it, also I’m purchasing a stock rear exhaust piece to cut the resonator out, and not void warranty

I hate how Subaru put a rev limiter at 4K RPM when in park on the CVT’s. Can’t fully open that throttle on park...

Only had about 20k miles.. here in Pennsylvania they salt the roads pretty heavy.
