This is awesome. I bought a 2017 Impreza (base model) with a five speed last year, and been searching for a good option to get some nice sound out of the boxer engine. 100% sells me on nameless .... so thanks for this video.
Finally got mylself one, got it lightly used for $150. Looks clean and in great condition. Will install it this weekend. Super excited. Thanks for the video, looks like super easy install.
Bowdown Dubsup If its in good condition then definitely worth the drive. I get compliments on mine all the time, many from WRX drivers. They think it sounds just as good as theirs and for the price it’s definitely worth it.
Sounds great I just bought one of these nameless 5” axle backs for my 2017 Impreza sport should have it in a couple of days, would love to hear the road test though !
Hey! First of all I will like to thank you for your help in the car community. I also know this is a significantly older video but I have a question. In your opinion, how loud is the 5” nameless exhaust from the stock exhaust on a scale of 1-10. And if you have any knowledge of the muffler delete, how loud would it be from a scale of 1-10? Thanks!
No problem. Compared to stock the 5 inch muffler is a 6. I'd say the stock is a 1, no sound unless a cold start. 10 being the loudest. The muffler delete is a 9 to 10 and is loud. We bought one for giggles, wow it was obnoxious, lol....not for me. I did t even video it because it was so loud in and out of the cabin One of the pluses on the 5 inch, is it gives just enough resonation to keep a great sound, deep and not be overbearing. Hope this helps
With the 5 inch muffler it's really just about right. When it's cold it's louder, but it's not obnoxious and it sounds really good. That being said. The most quiet is the borla, but you'll pay double.
No special tools like a torque wrench, just go tight and the maybe an eighth of a turn more. You can use two 14 mm boxend wrenches or ratchet or combo of the two. I re use my bolts from Subaru and nameless will send you a gasket and new bolts. I had to use the gasket on one of my 19 imprezas, but on the 17, one 19 and the 21 we just got, didn't use it and no leaks at all. We had to wait about a month for the 21 wagon exhaust but well worth it. I Have a video on that one too. Drive safe and post your thoughts on the nameless when you get it installed.
Where the muffler and flange bolt up, were they both perfectly flush or did the exhaust have a bit of a lip compared to the perfectly flat flange on the nameless?
The tubing struck out a smidge but the gasket once put on made it flush, the two flanges then but up......I just bought another sport, the same exhaust and it installed identical. Now we have two cars with nameless and they are great
@@automotiveinquiries9673 my wife loves hers that we installed on 18 sport. I hate it, I think the tone might be too low for me and literally hurts my ears. Gonna drive with ear plugs from now on.... If you think I am kidding you would be wrong. 100% serious. Got a older Tiburon with exhaust and possibly exhaust leak and those don't bother my ears.
I know that the nameless axle back Comes in two different sizes 5 inch and 3 inch what is your better suggestion on a 2020 Subaru Impreza sedan is there a difference in sound
as far as I know nameless offers a 5 inch and a straight pipe no muffler. I'd do the 5, that is loud enough and has a great sounds. No muffler or a smaller one, may be a little loud when cruising down the hwy. It's just a personal preference. Let me know what you decide.
I heard some people say you should buy an extra gasket because of leaks. What do you think? I really want one for my 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport I just got
I haven't had any issues with leaks, but they provide a large gaskets that would be more than enough. I actually havent used a gasket on one of my 19s and the 21 I didn't use one.
Yeah, they have a no muffler at nameless and its loud, it's a straightpipe....way way loud and the sound isn't as throaty. But technically you could just remove it and add any pipe. If you do that at least try and find t304 stainless so it doesnt rust out. But if your wanting a deep sound, that is moderate on the loud, I'd do at least a 5 inch muffler....the nameless is one of the cheapest out there for it. We have two of there systems and 4 years in, they are like new and no rust. Hope this helps
@@rafaellozano563 so with the nameless exhaust with the 5-inch Muffler it will delete everything from the axle back from stock so it has a nice small 5in resonator muffler and a larger tip if you just do the straight pipe he'll be a larger diameter pipe in your stock one and it will delete the entire Muffler
