Just put the 5" muffler version on mine, some tips for people watching: Spray Silicone Lube Channel locks That's how you pop exhaust hangers off in 5 seconds, prop one end of the claw against the metal nub and the other end against the hanger and pry it off. When taking the OEM exhaust off, start on the tip side first, and pop the exhaust hanger closest to you off on the inlet side then pull down The top bolt sucks for sure and the alignment of the flange is a few MM off for me at the gasket, but I'm going to go back and brute force it down and should be fine.
Sounds really nice! The benefits of having a muffler delete over a resonator delete is that you don't get the drone at low RPMs, because the resonator is still doing its job.
I bought this exhaust and installed it for my 2019 Impreza hatchback sport model. The sound is perfect for me, their is a slight drone in the cabin but it’s not crazy or anything, really manageable. If you have kids or a pesky wife, get the 5’ muffler instead. Just like he said, the car naturally idles between 1200-2000 when casually driving and when not actively accelerating. Sounds better in person. Keep the stock muffler in case you want to revert back to stock sound. All in all, it took me about 20 minutes to install and well worth it.
I did this to my base model 2018 5mt hatch and I get tons of pops it’s insanely fun to rev because of those pops xD. I love it but my dad has it on his as cvt cross trek and it sounds more like a Polaris razed imo
Hey, I'm from Red Wing, MN. I have the orange one. With our transmission, I was expecting a terrible sound, but no. A pleasant low-tenor to high baritone voicing to it. Good stuff, guy!
I tried putting on the gasket that came with it but it was leaking continuously. Maybe it was not tight enough. So I tried using the factory gasket itself and the leaking stops. I don’t know if I’m doing the correct way

@@mikeodonnell5476 hmm on the website it says "*While this system does NOT fit the 2012-2016 Subaru Impreza Wagon, we are working on a design which will be available soon" so idk. They have a quad tip for 2017+ impreza but I have a 2016 sadly. Yours looks really good tho!

I took washers and ground them down to the right outside diameter and used them as spacers till I could get the ring to point to the 4 or 5 o’clock position, then cranked it tight till it was straight. You could probably also get the same effect using some steel tubing to create a sleeve, and test the length till you have it straight and the depth is good.
