Loved this video so much. My 20005 gs left cylinder is making a knocking noise when reving the engine. Valves clearance done but still doing it. This week doing rockers clearance and hopefully that will solve the problem. I now understand a bit how a boxer head engine works and what the mechanic will do. Many thanks for sharing this video!
Try to find someone with a very sensitive weighing scale to match the weight of the piston and conrods. As a company to check the balance and other properties of the crankshaft, since these are "mas" production parts. This will give you another few (mini) hp, acceleration benefits, smoother run. I opened my final drive of the '94 R1100RS to fit a final drive housing plate from a '94 R1100R to fit a R1150RS brake caliper and the gears and bearings inside where perfect, no metal shavings on the magnet of the drain plug, i have put a strong neodymium in the jar where i captured the oil last night to see if something was present in oil, yet to check. no sure what other people did to have the final drive brake down early.
@@smoll.miniatures yeah the haynes manuals are good for torque values, and im sure head studs are reusable, i reuse mine, only bolts i replaced are conrod bolts, are you rebuilding your engine?
that's easy to find out with a hard glass plate and if needed correct with grind paste. a benefit of a single cyl, a micrometer on a foot could also help.
Super, waiting for more.

Are all the torque values when reassembling in the Hanes manual? Also what bolts rent reusable? Are the head studs?

What is the head warpage specification?
Hi, i will try and find out for you
