That sharpening your talking about is actually only applied in the Samsung Galaxy app! I don't know why the hell Samsung does that, but they do.

I use both, and like you said, Nick the Samsung tends to be "cooler," and the iPhone is "warmer". The video seems to have a slight edge on the iPhone, and the 8K video recording on the Samsung is ridiculously good. I bring both phones when I go take pictures and videos, but the versatility and options on the Samsung are a complete package for me
It’s seems Apple will not include the “best” that can be done on their cameras. The can easily increase the optical zoom to the Samsung Galaxy.

Just realized you have 2 channels. I heard your voice and was like wait one second lol.
A lifetime Android user but I have to admit there's just something about the iPhones cameras that makes the pictures feel more realistic and pleasant to look at (especially selfies and pictures of people). Main reason why I'm switching to iPhone with the 15 next month
Camera is not only the parameter to judge both the phones, each phone has different quality and better specifications in comparison. I am using s23u, the best phone in every department
One thing to add, I love the audio sounds in s23u sounds much more clear and better from my opinion.
They're both great, but I've noticed iPhone corner jittering both in the front and rear cameras. Samsung did a better job in car-lights, whereas the iPhone blew them out. The last video of the iPhone was impressive, although the goose zoomed in is hardly usable footage on either of them. At this point, it doesn't even matter anymore. I use a OnePlus 11 and Nothing Phone 2, and those phones may not have the prowess these 2 have, but it's catching up, again, it's hardly mattering anymore. Rock whatever phone you want.

I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Ultra 23. For everyday shots indoors of my 10 month old and our dogs, the iphone always takes better shots. The shutter lag on the Samsung as well as the fact you have to go on some pro mode to adjust to use the higher resolution that you typically don’t need anyways, the iphone for everyday lower light shots of always wins hands down. If we are going to take our time to be a photographer and do outdoor shots like you did, then the Samsung can definitely be superior. I like practicality and using the mode that is built in without messing with settings. Point and shoot with the iphone always wins. Not to mention, we know the video has been superior forever.
Sold my Samsung because it can’t take pictures of anything moving and the hit or miss of video recording makes it overrated as all hell to me! If you can’t take a pic of a moving object you can’t be in my pocket! My Sony Xperia 1 V smashes them both

I have both and I gotta go with the iPhone. The S23U has some points where it wins but video and anything front facing iPhone wins. Also the dedicated 2x zoom on the iPhone looks a lot better versus the OTA implemented 2x on the S23U (S23U didn’t come with 2x originally)
