This was one intense ride, the brutal takedowns and indomitable will. There should be more, each race made into a spacemarine op that reveals who they are fighting. I would especially love to see these guys take down some orcs or some tyranids. Really cool video, loved the voice of the one commander.
Absolutely, terminators should be terrifying, implacable, like a glacier bearing down. This really captured that, especially as it's close quarters in a confined environment which is the original purpose of them.

They are basically the most elite warriors of the chapter and as such they are granted the privilege to wear Tactical Dreadnought Armor also known as Terminator Armor. Each suit is a prized relic of the chapter and much more durable than standard marine armor.

That is Terminator Power Armor, which typically is only utilized by a Chapter's first Company. The Death Watch paints theirs white. Most Chapters just use the same color scheme as the rest of their Chapter.

The interaction with the tech priest is great. Such a bold design choice to have a cherub carrying its vox speaker. I also love the fact that the integration of its cybernetics with its flesh maintains a body horror like irreverence for the flesh without looking incompetent and self destructive.
And for once, being helpful. How many 40k stories revolve around the cogboys finding necron stuff, hiding it and turning it on or activating the necrons. Resulting in alot of death.
imagine being a lowly necron, awakened after millenia of slumber told to face the enemy. Then you just step outside to get blasted back to nothingness by Imperial Knight Chaddeus.

I must have worked at least one hundred hours on this project between the music and the sound design and I never got tired to hear the voices of Vox, Baldemort, Chaotic Voices and all the other. Dude, that intro that he did is INCREDIBLE. For me, when I finished my first watch of the whole movie, I immediately thought that if the creator of this video was to do another video? of another chapter? he could go back to that intro. It ALREADY feels iconic and legendary. Like he could do like a Netflix level of episodes like 8 or 10 episodes and that intro in the beginning would not get old for me. I think its a great setup for new audiences and veteran fans to partially set the stage of the upcoming episode.
This was awesome, 41k isn’t just a story controlled by GW from the top down it’s expanded upon by the community around it,and anyone trying to stop that should be ashamed, this “short” is one of the brightly shining examples of what artists can do, Congrats dude.

I have just started learn what 40k is the last few days. From a quick breakdown of what happened in Space Marine 1, to a high level breakdown of the timeline after just starting Space Marine 2, youtube shows me an unofficial fan animation with nearly 2M views in 3 weeks that definitely grabbed my attention. I honestly still don't quite fully get what is what, but seeing so much effort put fan work made purely out of enjoyment of the 40k universe(is that the right term?) and the support of so many people in the comments I will certainly be falling further into this rabbit hole. Thanks for putting this together, I am sure I am just one of many that has been inspired to learn more after watching.
If you are new to this you have an enormeus amount of material ahead if you. Hundreds of thrilling books. Dozens and dozens of talented creators explaining the lore. All that and you still have the tabletop game. And it's fantasy counterpart. Congratulations!! You just discovered a treat that you'll be able to enjoy for years. I stumbled across this hobby 35 years ago, and I'm still learning new stuff.

I've been saying this for years whether it be Marvel, or Star Wars or 40k....random fans can make better content than professional writers making 6 figures for a multi billion dollar corporation. Technically Necron Runes predate Pokemon, but I doubt anyone into Pokemon when Crystal was around would see the Link.

The interaction with the tech priest is great. Such a bold design choice to have a cherub carrying its vox speaker. I also love the fact that the integration of its cybernetics with its flesh maintains a body horror like irreverence for the flesh without looking incompetent and self destructive.
And for once, being helpful. How many 40k stories revolve around the cogboys finding necron stuff, hiding it and turning it on or activating the necrons. Resulting in alot of death.
The baby needs a pacifier to suck on, lest it starts wailing at inopportune times.
He was the best designed character imo. Totally captured the strange but intriguing nature of the Mechanicus

It was so fun to work on this with so many talented people of the community. I must have worked at least one hundred hours on this project between the music and the sound design and I never got tired to hear the voices of Vox, Baldemort, Chaotic Voices and all the other.

Thousands of them! On the floor, on the walls, candles everywhere!
Whole worlds are probably dedicated to their production.
Maybe theyre using a wax that never wanes, probably called Waxsteel.
Nah, workers are in the factory making the candles. Servitors are tasked with maintaining the optimal candle lighting.
In the books I’ve read it varies some are like machine candles they’ve made to look and act like real ones while some are normal candles

For me, when I finished my first watch of the whole movie, I immediately thought that if the creator of this video was to do another video? of another chapter? he could go back to that intro.
It ALREADY feels iconic and legendary.
Like he could do like a Netflix level of episodes like 8 or 10 episodes and that intro in the beginning would not get old for me. I think its a great setup for new audiences and veteran fans to partially set the stage of the upcoming episode.

I have just started learn what 40k is the last few days. From a quick breakdown of what happened in Space Marine 1, to a high level breakdown of the timeline after just starting Space Marine 2, youtube shows me an unofficial fan animation with nearly 2M views in 3 weeks that definitely grabbed my attention. I honestly still don't quite fully get what is what, but seeing so much effort put fan work made purely out of enjoyment of the 40k universe(is that the right term?) and the support of so many people in the comments I will certainly be falling further into this rabbit hole.
Thanks for putting this together, I am sure I am just one of many that has been inspired to learn more after watching.
If you are new to this you have an enormeus amount of material ahead if you. Hundreds of thrilling books. Dozens and dozens of talented creators explaining the lore. All that and you still have the tabletop game. And it's fantasy counterpart. Congratulations!! You just discovered a treat that you'll be able to enjoy for years. I stumbled across this hobby 35 years ago, and I'm still learning new stuff.

Doesn't seem to expect too much previous knowledge (but it definitely helps to have a little).
