Cad Bane defeated Boba Fett then after giving a final lesson to his protege, he earned a warrior's retirement. I don't know how people say this ending was anti-climactic.
For me it’s because they introduce an incredible live action adaption of a character seen only in animation the episode prior and kill him off so soon in the next one. Out of all the threats faced in the book of fett he felt like the only one that was real and he died so quickly. He has also faced for more powerful opponents than boba as well so for him to just walk up to boba and die felt really anti climactic to what would have happened in the universe. Cade bane should have been way to smart to just let that happen, boba having his melee weapon right there to grab seems like %100 the thing he would’ve noticed. It’s just weird how he died not the fact that he died. Them killing him off in live adaptation so quickly is the most disappointing thing about the show behind not giving enough good reasons behind boba recharacterization.
@@samuelbormett5629 I agree with this and im not gonna defend the show but dude was 71, that's passed his species' age limit plus he was probably tired of life anyway. If he really wanted to he would've ended boba then and there.
With all the insane missions Bane had completed or at least survived and all the people he was responsible for killing as well as all the big name employers that he'd outlived, being stabbed in the chest seems a little less than what he deserved. I think if he lost the quick draw, that would've given him a more fitting death, finally showing that either Boba had reached his level or that he was indeed too old for this profession.
I love Cad Bane! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Originally, Durge was supposed to appear in The Clone Wars, but he was replaced by Bane, with Durge being recanonized in the War Of The Bounty Hunters comic arc last year. I’m not sure where it originated, but I love that piece of art from Mandalore that’s based on Picasso’s “Guernica”. Whoever drew or painted that adapted it so well to the Star Wars universe. Great video, as well!
I think what's absolutely amazing about these animations is how, specifically for lightsaber users, they're able to portray fighting styles extremely well

"But Fett beat him!" you say. Fett "beat" a geriatric Bane who was probably within a year or two of dying of old age anyway, and even so, he only did because Bane picked up the Villain Ball and wasted time monologuing so the plot could save Fett. In terms of skill, speed and agility, Fett was completely outclassed ... _still,_ even though Bane was so old he already had one foot in the grave, and even though Fett was wearing Mandalorian armor. Nah, that settles it. No question: Cad Bane >>> Boba Fett. Fett might've had the bigger reputation, but reputation doesn't always align with actual ability. The only question left is whether Jango Fett was as good as Bane. Honestly, I'm not convinced he was, though I think it's probably safe to say he was better than his son. Just going by feats, anyway, I have it as Cad Bane > Jango Fett > Boba Fett.
In terms of things that we the audience are shown, 100% agree. After all, even though we are told boba fett is the best of the best, we always see him beneath cane, except for two scenes: the one where he kills an older bane, and a deleted scene where bane gets his plate and boba gets his dent, showing that they were equals, yet one was better equipped (we can ignore this to an extent however, given how it was deleted). We don't really see much of boba's solo exploits in Disney canon, so it is possible to say that he could have been a better bounty hunter than bane, but we just aren't shown enough, sadly, which is ironic given how he's just been given a series on Disney+

Cad Bane making early ahsoka look stupid is what made him my favorite Clone Wars character
based
"Okay so we need a bad guy. I'm thinking Cane, because Kane is a good name and our concept art has a breathing aparatus"
"Bad cane, huh?"
"Well we can't just call him that"
"......Oh my god I'm a genius"
"Look out for yourself, anything else is weakness."
Mmmmmh so good
I just had a revelation rewatching this. Instead of finding a master for the holocron, do you think Dooku could have opened it? I know plot armor is stong in alot of arcs but i think he could've. Especially since he never fully gave himself to the dark. Let me know what you think. Thanks for all the awesome content. The force is strong in you
Jedi Sentinel(Shadows) are the only Jedi officially allowed to use choke. Probably more to apprehend than to fight for your life.
Bros a chad for uploading this one. Much love and you earned my subscription. Cad Bane is a bad mofo and as an ex soldier myself, I ❤ this video as a Star Wars fan. Bane was too young for me I was in middle school when clone wars first aired. Nice to get exra info on him and a refreshment.
Cad Bane is my favorite bounty hunter and I was so sad to see him die
He wasn’t scared for his life in there, he was worried how he would get paid if he was dead 😂
True, that's something I like about Cad. He doesn't really care if he lives or dies, he just wants to make money.
Thats the best audible ad I've ever heard
Cade bane is one of my favorite star wars characters Thank you!!
Great video brother. One of my favorite characters of all time!
I really appreciate when people are bigger nerds than me, without you guys i could never catch up on the lore ❤😂
This guy reminds me so much of agent 47 using clever Disguises to help with his missions, and always staying calm
Cad bane should've taken tuco's advice when finishing boba.
"When you gotta shoot just shoot, dont talk"
I wish I spoke like Cad Bane!!!! Coolest bounty hunter in the galaxy
Seamless add dude, and I actually have and use Audible it’s pretty great, recommend for sure
30 mins in and its weird not having that iconic chill BGM I've come to love lol. Either way love the vid.
Amazing....A great story then poof!! An hour gone just like that! Bravo.
The Complete life of CHAD Bane
Hey, I wanted to say I really enjoy the full story episodes!! Could you make one about Ventress and the Sisterhood??
Cad bane at Your service I'll take on any job for the right price
"My rate just doubled"
The COMPLETE Life of Chad Bane (Canon)
If only. We will get a part 2 eventually.
I'm not even a Star Wars fan, but you have convinced me that a character I had never heard of before, is a total badass. Excellent video ☺️ Quite a shame that he isn't a playable character in Lego Star Wars the Skywalker saga. There really should be a DLC for the clone Wars for that game.
Someone finally does this video thank you
Look say what you will about book of Boba Fett, but as a long time clone wars fan who had like every action figure they made of Cad Bane, it was pretty special to me when he showed up. I didn’t mind his physical appearance either. He felt like Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven and I just wish we got a bit more of that.
Actually @ 33:14 you can see toto retrieving Bane's lost hat just as he jumps into the ship with Bane.
This was thoroughly insightful and entertaining, thankyou
Another great lore breakdown! Kudos since its of one of the baddest kriffing bounty hunters Metanerdz! Bravo!
I love how Cad bane says once you figure out one clone you figure them all I would love to see him say that against bad batch
He literally said that to Hunter
@@Aimbot.exe_fail made that post at 2 in the morning on like for melatonin
@@jedimasteroforder8222yeah it's one of the few comments I ever made and I just couldn't help it. I tried to scroll past it
Kinda odd how Hutts are said to be pretty durable, yet Ziro was downed in a few blaster shots.
Star Wars has so many, can i say side lined characters, that have such amazing stories to be told
Right off the bat, a montage of today's character.
Thanks Audible
I love watching your Star Wars video
Thanks I will keep em coming!
you will always be my favorite TH-cam
I didn't really like Book of Boba Fett, didn't hate it, watched the whole thing, just felt disappointed. But Cad Bane was one of my favorite parts.
Same and the rancor until the ending it kinda got too King Kongish
God damnit, I was going to do a podcast episode on Cad Bane tomorrow but u beat me to the draw as usual Metanerd!! XD
well, there's only one thing left for you to do.
nurse this grudge for 30 years and then shoot him with your revolver thus proving you're the best Star Wars TH-camr on the platform.

Hey dude I could be the one that's wrong but you got the stories mixed around, he did the senate job first which leaves sidiuos impressed with Banes actions which prompts him to hire Bane for temple heist, I do believed you're correct in saying Anakin repaired Todo as he's still Banes droid in the Bad Batch
I thought hostage crisis happened before holocron heist too.
No that's the order on wookie, which always has them in chronological order. Is there another reason u think that?
@@MetaNerdzLore okay so after looking around a bit, it does seem that holocron heist comes before hostage crisis, it's just that sidious' reasoning for hiring Bane seems to be one of manipulation and not bc Bane is the right fit. Just a stone cold killer easily manipulated by money and reputation
Thanks for this video.
Ahsoka: “ I’m not impressed!”
Bane (in his head) “you will be real quick!”
Hope the clone commander videos return soon would love to see Appo, Fox, Neyo and Bacara
This was a great listen.
Bane lives!
Cad Bane reminds me of actor, Lee Van Cleef's character in "The Good, The Bad, The ugly" Senteneza/ Angel Eyes.
His life isn’t over. Cade Bane isn’t dead. His life monitor was still beating. We didn’t see him die!
Do a video explaining what would’ve happened if anakin never forgot his future visions from the son
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank you for an incredible video !
I love how he swapped his old D-11s for a slug throwers, still. Bad ass.
