  • In this video we will be turning a matching set of Salt and Pepper grinders. I tend to have good luck with selling these items to help fund my shop costs. This has become my go to shape which I’ve made quite a few times now. I find it has nice proportions as well as a shape that feels pleasing in your hand.
    I’ll begin woodturning between centers and forming three tenons. One on each outside and then one on the other side of the mill body. I’ll then drill out the items to the required size and form the outside profile. I’ll do the final shaping once the body and head are sandwiched together. Then it’s the challenge of trying to duplicate the shape.

      Thanks alot Joseph! It's crazy how much more dense the dark wood is compared to the maple. I'd say it's atleast three times as heavy.

    You mentioned ambrosia maple; what was the dark wood?

    • @HodgePodgeWoodWorks
      @HodgePodgeWoodWorks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dark wood was called Dalmata I believe. Some sort of very dense exotic wood
