- I’ve been asked about selling my pieces and have decided that I was going to set up an Etsy store. With that in mind I need to increase my inventory of what was available so it was time for a Bottle Stopper Marathon!
The blanks which I’ve used are listed below in no particular order:
Yellow Mora, Red Balau, Purple Heart, Pernambuco, Mora, Red Heart and Spectraply.
I can’t express how much I want to thank you for subscribing to my channel! I look forward to each and every comment I receive. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You!
If you haven’t subscribed and you feel inclined hit that subscribe button! Thanks to all of you for watching!

Those look amazing, each one is unique onto it's own.
I looked through your list of items, I do not see where you get the stoppers and inserts.
@lenshandcraftedwoodsigns6033 HI, I got the threaded inserts and stoppers from Niles bottle stoppers.
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks Thank you.
Great selection of stoppers. Thanks for showing us your process.
Keep on turning.
Cheers, Bluey 👍
Thanks Bluey! As you saw in the beginning of the video, I've got plenty more stopper blanks to turn....later..Got a bowl blank mounted as we speak.
Nice work brother, love the intro! X'D
Haha, glad you like it!
Great video and fantastic selection of shapes
Thanks for the kind words Steven!
what kind of colored wood is that? It looks amazing! Great work, thanks for sharing this Video!
Aggressive! Pretty cool!
Thanks Bailey. I got alot more to make eventually...but I'm on a bowl binge now!
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks what do you do with them? Internet sales or shows? I only do videos now and have a lot of one-offs!
I've sold one or two just to friends so far. I opened an etsy store with these bottle stoppers the other day. Never setup a booth or anything before. So far it's mainly been gifts.
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks ok, I thought about Etsy. Let me know how that works! Thanks for the videos!
Will do. I looked at making my own website but the monthly cost appeared to be to much for starting out.
Hi Mr. Hodge, your video production has leveled up, very professional looking. The bottle stoppers looked great...I have never made one, looks fun. The beading tool looked like it was leaving a rough finish, did you get it figured out or was it just that type of wood? Keep well, Rob
Thanks Rob! I was completely new to video editting when I started so I think I'm getting the hang of things. As for the beading tool I think it was operator error. I went back over them lightly and it seemed to clean them up to the point where I didn't really have to sand them much.
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks Thank you, I am afraid to get a beading tool, everything I touch will end up covered in beads whether they look good or not :)
