    I like the fact that they don’t look machine made but truly hand crafted.

    Turned out very nicely. It's always easy to make one of something; making two or more that appear the same is where the challenge comes. Very well done.

    I really struggle to make two things identical but you make it look so easy, your use of scrapers is new to me and i will look to use scrapers more. But still not the skew, i am still working on it but it is still the devils tool to me. Can’t quite get enough confidence to let it flow. Your videos are helping me so thank very much.

      Thank you very much, I did a few weeks back a skew video that should help out and really lift the fear once you see that other then wood you really can't mess it up ☺️

    Making a small amount of identical pieces is always a challenge but these came out pretty good.
    Once you start making many more the muscle memory will kick in. 😎

    I just learned a cool new technique of holding thin stock to turn a Tenon That has been a problem that i've had for a while now. Thank you for the video.

    Good job at making them look similar, takes a good eye to know where material needs to match. I like them.

    Those are really elegant. I made salt and pepper bowls for my wife but they are too shallow so I am going to follow your example.
    Best Wishes, Brendan.

    There are any number of projects that benefit from (or require) something like a mortise and tenon. I find that getting the Goldilocks fit is always a reliable challenge. 😂 Another good, not too complicated, project that will probably sell at my local arts & crafts events! Thanks!

    Very beautiful Tomislav. I really thought that the salt lid would be maple while the pepper lid would be walnut.

    As I was watching I admired the bevels and edges on your tools. May I ask what grit you use on your grinding wheel?

    Hello Tomislav. Another wonderful video as usual. I have a question. If you started from scratch what size bowl blanks would you use? My guess is (assuming that is a 3.5" chuck is 4x4x4 for the bottom and it looks like 4x4x1 for the top. Correct?

    • @ptcruiser2012

      Sorry I should have used metric. 100x100x100 and 100x100x25.

    • @tomislavtomasicwoodturning

      Thank you sir, that would be great measurements to start from solid blank from scratch.... Good thing about these is that you can make them as big or small as you need😀

    In making a set (6) of bowls, is there a way to make aids or patterns to ensure that they are relatively identical ( Heights, widths, depths, shapes, etc..) Thanks.

    • @tomislavtomasicwoodturning

      Yes, you could make half templates, using divaders is a great way to have set proportions.... I tent to make foot size and overall diameter with preset divaders, and then the shape I do by eye.... Its great excersize for eye and tool movement.... Hope that helps...

    Sorry me again.
    Your secondary jaw holding positions look to be parallel or very slightly tapered. I don't have shark jaws to compare. Do you think that a standard Nova2 jaws would hold enough with a parallel or small taper on a secondary tenon as you show?

    • @chrissimmoms1550

      I think I added my note too early based on you gripping the outside of the jaws and also just pressing the lid against the chuck.

    • @tomislavtomasicwoodturning

      No problem☺️
      The outside lip of the jaws are usually straight, I dont see anyone grab with that, but works great and I have been using my older RP chuck as well like that....if you don't have right jaws then this is option 😀
      Hope that helps

      @@STMwoodturning yes, after its completely curred it would not matter😀 at least with this oil I'm using
