Very cool. I'm about to start my first attempt at pepper mills and I have been looking for stylistic ideas. I love how you've textured the wood, and as I will likely be laminating smaller pieces this might be a good idea to hide the broken grain patterns.

Yep! I use the round-nose scraper for almost everything on that build.
