I have a special place in my heart for mismagius because it was on my team in my first Pokémon game, Pokémon Pearl, and it was the first Pokémon I got to level 100, in fact I still have that same Mismagius in my Pokémon white save and I will move it up to gen 7 when I get Pokémon Bank.
Let's be real, Mismagius should have been one of the lucky Pokémon who got the Fairy type in Gen VI. I would have liked to throw around four immunities (accounting for Levitate) and the STAB Dazzling Gleam after Nasty Plot.

How GOOD was Piloswine and Mamoswine ACTUALLY? *Mamoswine is one of the few remaining pokemon who gained an evolution in gen 4. Also im aware of other mons remaining such as Honchkrow, Licklylicky, Yanmega, etc.
Basically the worst until gen 5's sniper gimmick, then it lied in obscurity still until ORAS granted it a mega. Now it's...okay. Better than Electivire at least ;-;
Misdreavus and Mismagius are my favorite Ghost types. Misdreavus looks cute, I love it’s pearl necklace and how it scares people at night feeding off their fear. Mismagius looks great and it still keeps that same cuteness. It’s pearls look even better, the witch astetic works well and it’s powers are straight up creepy. Mismagius also has a good special attack/defense, it’s one of the fastest Ghost types and it can learn some pretty good moves. The only problem is that Mismagius’s defense is only 60 so if you use Sucker punch or Foul play it’s likely going down in a one hit.

It's a shame mismagius isn't more available in the games. As far as I can tell the only games where you can get misdreavus and a dusk stone before tge elite four and at am early enough point of the game are Pearl and Moon. Any other game and you have to use misdreavus until the post game (HG, SS), it's so late game that you probably already have a dedicated ghost type on your team, or you just can't catch it at all outside of rng (the pokepelego in the ultra games.)
How GOOD was the USSR really?? Well, it started out Ubers as the only other pokecountry with America in the tier, rivaling it’s power, but by the 80s it started to fall behind the USA and in 1991 it succumbed to power creep, getting nerfed into russia, which is not top of ubers with USA, but a top tier OU threat, so how good was USSR/Russia? Very good! Not quite a USA, but still incredibly powerful, especially 70s era USSR.
I don't know, it's nerfs started to affect it a lot after the 200's and it fell to borderline. It is not as great as a economic power like China but it's role as an military power gives it high usage in OU. I would still say China is a better pick despite having more population and therefore consuming more energy

Mismagius is one of the greatest gaming mysteries to me. My first experience with gen 2 was a rented copy of stadium 2. In the rental pokemon there was an evolved misdrivous with a hat. I returned the game, not knowing anything was strange. I got really into the series, and was confused that there was no hat ghost. Then suddenly gen 4 rolls around, and she's back. I lived one of those playground legends about finding a dev cart or something, but it was just to rent a Pokemon I don't even like. :P

Happy halloween, Kellen. Love the soundtracks you used for this video. On the subject of Misdreavus & Mismagius, I saw multiple people online saying that it was a missed opportunity to not give them the ghost/fairy typing in Gen 6 (hey, if mimes can be fairies, why not witches). And after thinking about it, I would've also been interested in seeing that (especially if they also added moonblast to their moveset). Defensively, it would give them a fourth immunity (the highest number of immunities in the game) to dragon and also diminish their dark weakness, meaning they could potentially survive a knock off from certain non-dark types (or even dark pulses from actual dark types). And offensively, the fairy/ghost stab combo (like mimikyu proved it) is excellent, only being resisted by pyroar (who isn't too hard to deal with). Of course, it wouldn't have made Mismagius top tier or anything, what with it's stats still being limited (especially on the physical side), but it could've made it niche in OU (at least in gen 6, where it would've been an sweet garchomp check in a gen where chompy was more common) and up it's natural tier to at least RU. Oh, and while I'm here, how GOOD was Jynx ACTUALLY?
@@grrumakemeangry Incineroar is Fire/Dark and Dark is weak to Fairy, meaning that Fairy would be neutral. The only type combos that take at worst non-super effective damage from the type combo of Ghost/Fairy are: Normal/Fire, Normal/Steel and Normal/Poison (and the latter 2 don't exist yet).
Honestly I'm mostly interested in the fact that this would cause Evio Misdreavus to be even better at what it does, and it's already one of the best eviolite pokemon out there, fairy making it able to take more U-turns, Resist other Fairy moves, shrug off the occasional dragon, not instantly die to the first non-knock off dark move that touches it and not sacrificing much due to steel and poison being very uncommon specially offensive types could make Misdreavus one of the most unique and strange defensive mons out there. Not competitively massive, but always a fun gimmick
Mismagus is my favorite. Not surprised to see it's less than stellar competitively, but I was surprised to see that Misdreavus was actually kinda good.

I returned the game, not knowing anything was strange. I got really into the series, and was confused that there was no hat ghost. Then suddenly gen 4 rolls around, and she's back.
I lived one of those playground legends about finding a dev cart or something, but it was just to rent a Pokemon I don't even like. :P

On the subject of Misdreavus & Mismagius, I saw multiple people online saying that it was a missed opportunity to not give them the ghost/fairy typing in Gen 6 (hey, if mimes can be fairies, why not witches). And after thinking about it, I would've also been interested in seeing that (especially if they also added moonblast to their moveset).
Defensively, it would give them a fourth immunity (the highest number of immunities in the game) to dragon and also diminish their dark weakness, meaning they could potentially survive a knock off from certain non-dark types (or even dark pulses from actual dark types). And offensively, the fairy/ghost stab combo (like mimikyu proved it) is excellent, only being resisted by pyroar (who isn't too hard to deal with).
Of course, it wouldn't have made Mismagius top tier or anything, what with it's stats still being limited (especially on the physical side), but it could've made it niche in OU (at least in gen 6, where it would've been an sweet garchomp check in a gen where chompy was more common) and up it's natural tier to at least RU.
Oh, and while I'm here, how GOOD was Jynx ACTUALLY?

@@grrumakemeangry Incineroar is Fire/Dark and Dark is weak to Fairy, meaning that Fairy would be neutral.
The only type combos that take at worst non-super effective damage from the type combo of Ghost/Fairy are: Normal/Fire, Normal/Steel and Normal/Poison (and the latter 2 don't exist yet).
Honestly I'm mostly interested in the fact that this would cause Evio Misdreavus to be even better at what it does, and it's already one of the best eviolite pokemon out there, fairy making it able to take more U-turns, Resist other Fairy moves, shrug off the occasional dragon, not instantly die to the first non-knock off dark move that touches it and not sacrificing much due to steel and poison being very uncommon specially offensive types could make Misdreavus one of the most unique and strange defensive mons out there. Not competitively massive, but always a fun gimmick
Mismagus is my favorite. Not surprised to see it's less than stellar competitively, but I was surprised to see that Misdreavus was actually kinda good.
