This. To this day, I have a moment of hesitation whenever I'm thinking about what moves to use against Lugia. Its like my brain is buffering, going 'psychic/flying? That can't be right'
gamefreak didn’t creat Lugia. Lugia was the only Pokémon in the johto region that wasn’t created by gamefreak. Lugia was intended to be water and flying but gamefreak didn’t allow that since, at the time, physic type was seen as powerful types. That’s why they used psychic and flying. And the Creator of Lugia wanted Lugia to be female. And was devastated when the movie came out, and it was a male voice. Look it up it’s quite interesting
people thought ash losing in the kalos pokemon league was bad bruh i thought the sinnoh one was worse because the writers literally realized how good ash was so they had to make a trainer have full on legendaries to make him lose...
I didn't mind that at all. In fact I loved that fight! It was nice to see someone who was semi-competent by our world's standards and show Ash the potential of a Pokemon trainer. I want to see Tobias again when Ash is more experienced and directly fighting for the position of Pokemon Master.
@@fune9281 Yuh, I thought it was actually super cool seeing someone who was even more experienced than Ash to show how much harder he'll have to work towards Pokémon Master :D

What I found sad about Flygon not having a mega was that EVERY Dragon type Pokemon introduced in Gen 3 (Salamence, Altaria, Latios, Latias, and Rayquaza) got a mega evolution except Flygon.
For those who don't know, the reason you need to go somewhere specific to forget HMs is so that you don't softlock yourself on an island without Surf or something. In fact, if you try to release your last Pokemon that knows an HM move, it'll come back to you with the message, "______ came swimming back! Was it worried about you?" Which is actually really wholesome.
Id be somewhat inclined to accept that except it still doesnt really make much sense. The pokemon has to be in your party anyways to change its moveset, so you could just pop the hm back on it if you get yourself stranded. Only reason I can really see is that its to keep you from forgetting it *while* youre surfing, but thats no reason to make cut and strength also a pain in the ass to forget
@@dubiousdeliquite6641 You can very easily strand yourself places by forgetting moves and not carrying the HM with you. Keeping the feature around is a good failsafe in case of unexpected glitches, too.
Lillie's retcon in USUM was absolutely disgusting. That’s because nobody knows where Cubone came from, so it was probably popped out by a mother somewhere else and that mom died and then the player’s pokemon picked up that egg and decided, “This is mine now.”
How was wailords weight one of the worst decisions? It's ingenious! It's the "Float whale" pokemon, because it's density is actually lower than air, so it floats in the air! It's one of my favorite tidbits of the gen3 dex
Only problem with that is that it wouldn't really be a water pokemon at that point..it's so light it'd probably just be high in the sky instead 24/7! Plus it's never really shown to fly in anything, so I think they made it's weight way too low. Low enough that it can float up in water is ok but so light it should fly away like a balloon?? Huh. And I thought the introduction of the VS Seeker was annoying. Like, it went from the PokéNav's "check for any trainers anywhere who want to battle" to the Poketch's "check to see if maybe some of the trainers onscreen want to battle, and if you don't, you'll have to run in circles madly until you can try again, and if one trainer just happened to walk out of frame, too bad, you'll have to recharge then press again to see if they're ready to battle, and pray that you're not wasting all those steps this time, good luck." I honestly suspect the VS Seeker almost singlehandedly ruined my Sinnoh experience by making grinding such a grind.
I never liked the Vs. Seeker. The Gen 3 Hoenn games' vs seeker was horseshit, it's incredibly difficult to go through the trainers cos it was organised so badly. Gen 4's took too long to work and only let you battle 1 or 2 specific trainers each time. ORAS did it the best but it was still only ok. I much preferred gen 5's use of audino in shaking grass. It was a very consistent training method that worked throughout the whole game, letting you grind easily at your own pace.

Great list! One thing that really bothers me is how you can't choose which pokemon to send out at the beginning of a battle like they do in the show. Instead you always send out who's first in your party.
I think the anime struggles in such situations, because they have two options: 1. Game-Logic. Pokemon not even flinching when getting hit by attacks they are immune to. 2. Real-Logic. Pokemon daking damage or at least flinching, since they are still physically hit with something. Yes, it wouldn't make sense, if a Pokemon, which is immune to electric, get's K.O.ed by a lightningbolt (looking at you, first Movie -.-). However, if a 120 lbs snake uses it's full strength and smacks that Metagrosses forehead with it's tail (from which I don't know how hard it is), it would also make no sense if the Metagross didn't flinch at least a little bit. (I'm not saying you are wrong with anything, just wanted to defend something, that can be excused (to some extend))
I mean, you can get rid of Toxic Spikes by using Dig and Flare Blitz underground. You can have Thunder Armor (Swellow would have fainted in the games) Hawlucha getting hit by Bone Rush Mega Lucario. Game logic simply doesn't translate well in the anime, because then you get either a really boring anime, or you need to exclude some moves from the anime.

Most gen 2 playthrough teams are: Johto Starter + 5 Kanto mons There were only 100 new pokemon to begin with, and obtaining some of them so late was really ridiculous. That's why I only play randomizer when I replay a Gen 2 game.
No telling, I'd imagine we'd measure charizard like a kangaroo (no clue how they measure them). But for furret, I assume length because height would just be a weird stat. It's like having a snake and saying it's two inches tall lol it's just wrong
Honestly, for number 1, I actually really like that decision. I think it made them feel more like they focused on the Moves being their respective types while allowing their teams to be more balanced. Personally, I'd rather have a gym leader that actually seems like a competent trainer with a balanced team than an entire gym where you only fight 5 evolutionary families because that's all there is for that type (Canalave City Gym, where you literally fight 6 magnemites and a magneton, assuming you fight all the gym trainers) -don't even get me started on Opelucid Gym in BW-
I actually kinda liked how they changed the elite 4 into a tournament. I do love the elite 4 but having something like what they had in the anime is pretty dope.

(Whenever I go on there and there's a hacker, my game crashes) 18: Making Diamond and Pearl incredibly slow 19: The level cap in Heartgold and Soulsilver 20: Shiny Pokémon not appearing in the overworld in Sword and shield 21: Learning Braille in the Hoenn games 22: The requirements to get Regigigas in Omega ruby and Alpha sapphire. 23: Shiny locking the starters and main legendaries in Sword and shield 24: Not being able to turn off the Rotom dex which constantly gives you the same advice. 25: making Galarian Articuno psychic\flying instead of ice\psychic. Galarian Moltres Dark\flying instead of Dark\fire and Galarian Zapdos fighting\flying instead of Fighting\electric. 26: Roaming legendaries 27: Making Sceptile a special attacker instead of a physical attacker 28: Hop stopping you every 5 minutes just to fight you 29: not being able to skip cutscenes in the sun and moon games
Since Flying is the type that basically unifies all three of the legendary birds I think it makes more sense to leave them the same and change their first types instead. Plus their Galar counterpart's pokédex entries basically confirm why they aren't Fire, Ice and Electric respectively. Articuno's eye beams freeze foes solid but not in literal ice, Moltres' dark aura is only "flame-like" and Zapdos' feathers only produce a crackling sound like electricity when rubbing together. They're all just tangential reasons really, certainly nothing that would make them literally those types.
ShadowSora8491 i don’t think anyone misses them...the only good thing about them is 9/10 the roaming pokemon you get after all of that tedium is worth it
Roaming legendaries are fine. It's not like they move in extremly chaotic patterns, which leaves you to having to predict, where it will show up, so you have to already be there, only for the legendary to run in literally the first turn. And that's not even the worst, imagine how it would be, if you could somehow prevent the Mon from fleeing, but it has a move, which basically says to you "F@#% you, I'm leaving anyway". Gamefreak would definitly never do this...
@@bulborb8756 It caused people to actually use tactics and plan for a possible sweep. It gave old, unused pokemon who never ranked high a use. It gave us Our Lord and Savior, the Sky God, Rayquaza. Hop being made into Pokèmon Professer Assistant rather then a Trainer who works harder and trains to beat us someday. That still hurts me how stupid it is.
On the "no E4 in SwSh" subject, it technically does have one, since you'll aways battle the same four trainerners near the end, It reusing major trainers for the fights (like Alola did) doesn't bother me, because (like in Alola) it fits the plot of the region, plus i prefer it over having character that exist solely to be the E4 and don't do much outside of it
No, ShSw doesn't have an E4. It has a tournament but NOT an E4..the gym leaders you rebattle are fighting you in a tournament like deal for who gets to take on the champion, they aren't an E4. Alola DID have an E4, obviously it had to be made of earlier people as they just created theirs and the strongest trainers would be people you've already foughten, but SwSh literally has no E4.

Game Freak getting rid of the VS Seeker after Generation 4, and pretty much eliminating the option to re battle trainers after Generation 6.
Huh. And I thought the introduction of the VS Seeker was annoying.
Like, it went from the PokéNav's "check for any trainers anywhere who want to battle" to the Poketch's "check to see if maybe some of the trainers onscreen want to battle, and if you don't, you'll have to run in circles madly until you can try again, and if one trainer just happened to walk out of frame, too bad, you'll have to recharge then press again to see if they're ready to battle, and pray that you're not wasting all those steps this time, good luck."
I honestly suspect the VS Seeker almost singlehandedly ruined my Sinnoh experience by making grinding such a grind.

Anime Logic makes Absolute ZERO sense. I agree. How can Metagross or Scizor be damaged by weak Poison Pokemon if they're immune to poison?
I think the anime struggles in such situations, because they have two options:
I think it’s not the poison that’s hurting them but the hit itself
I mean, you can get rid of Toxic Spikes by using Dig and Flare Blitz underground.
You can have Thunder Armor (Swellow would have fainted in the games)
Hawlucha getting hit by Bone Rush Mega Lucario.
Game logic simply doesn't translate well in the anime, because then you get either a really boring anime, or you need to exclude some moves from the anime.
There are many brilliant designs, moves and mechanic pokemon has done but there are also some dumb ones made as well.

Pokémon faster than Luxray (and Decidueye):
Tyrantrum - 71
Tsareena - 72
Drednaw - 74
Tapu Bulu, Toxtricity - 75
Blastoise - 78
Buzzwole - 79
Venusaur, Togekiss, Mamoswine, Gallade, Goodra - 80
Lycanroc (Midnight) - 82
Magmortar - 83
Nidoking, Kommo-o, Rillaboom - 85
Excadrill - 88 (and Sand Rush on top)
Krookodile - 92
Haxorus, Urshifu - 97
Scolipede - 112 (and Speed Boost on top)
@@falinks6584 Just imagine that thing coming at you at 50 Kmph AND accelerating.
@@PropiaRealidad it would be a nightmare come to life
@@goGothitaLOL I dont get why Scolipede has a high speed AND Speed Boost. Like bruh
Someone needs to hire this man for his great ideas.
He didn't give us any but okay
He didn't have any great ideas, he just told us the ideas that were bad.
What great ideas?
Yes I am a bit late, but I know this because the reverse effect for the mistakes he made would show these great ideas. And we can fix them easily.
The Typhlosion change still pisses me off and I didn’t even play Pokemon after 5th gen.
WELL, with Nidoqueen and Nidoking the answer is straight:
The moonstone makes them seemingly infertile. 🤣
Except Nidoking can breed with female Nidoran, and also cannot breed with Nidorina

@@frankchen4229 after 30 years, OH BOI. that's so true 🤣
I believe that the reason Nidoking and Nidoqueen can't breed is because it's incredibly difficult to breed Rhino's in captivity.
Nah, it's just because it was too hard to implement it in the Gen 2 breeding system and they just kinda let it go that way forever :)
It's a video game, Nintendo CAN enable them to breed anytime, but they don't bc idk... Such a realistic excuse doesn't work lol
Nah all your claims are invalid, they are brother and sister obviously
@@dr.swaggy6962 Then who are their parents then? :v Are you telling me that ALL Nidorans (M)/Nidorinos/Nidokings and Nidorans(F)/Nidorinas/Nidoqueens in the Pokemon universe are siblings?
INCEST INTENSIFIES
@@erich_ika I feel like they can make other pokemon produce an egg from their respective line at this point. it's long over due that they make them the same species. because they already have male and female counterparts of some pokemon, where gender effects it's stats, abilities, moves etc
The battle royale thing frustrates me to no end, you come up with a fun new way for people to fight pokemon, and then ruin it by cutting it short
Not to mention that players who get ganged up on are auto-screwed/ destined to die
Here's some of mine
1: Giving Whitney's Miltank a lum berry in Heartgold and Soulsilver.
2: Giving Charizard two megas and only giving one to Venusaur and Blastoise.
3: Not adding evolutions like Crobat, Steelix, Electivire and Magmortar in Let's go Pikachu and Eevee.
4: Making Pokémon evolve so late in the game (examples: Deino, Pawniard and Larvesta)
5: Making certain shiny Pokémon look the same as their original
6: Not giving a mega to Flygon but giving it to Garchomp who didn't need it.
7: Making Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl extremely buggy
8: The walking with Pokémon feature in sword and shield
9: The Y-Comm in sword and shield
10: Making Molayne's Klefki constantly spam thunderwave if your Pokémon isn't an electric or ground type
11: Lack of fire types in diamond and pearl
12: Pokémon like Zekrom can't use earthquake but a Pokémon like Drilbur can
13: Making the Moor of Iccirus a useless location (if you don't have the event Keldeo in Black and white)
14: Typhlosion's 3D model
15: Not giving the Kalos starters mega evolutions
16: Giving Greninja a special form while Delphox and Chesnaught get nothing
17: the GTS in the sun and moon games. (Whenever I go on there and there's a hacker, my game crashes)
18: Making Diamond and Pearl incredibly slow
19: The level cap in Heartgold and Soulsilver
20: Shiny Pokémon not appearing in the overworld in Sword and shield
21: Learning Braille in the Hoenn games
22: The requirements to get Regigigas in Omega ruby and Alpha sapphire.
23: Shiny locking the starters and main legendaries in Sword and shield
24: Not being able to turn off the Rotom dex which constantly gives you the same advice.
25: making Galarian Articuno psychic\flying instead of ice\psychic. Galarian Moltres Dark\flying instead of Dark\fire and Galarian Zapdos fighting\flying instead of Fighting\electric.
26: Roaming legendaries
27: Making Sceptile a special attacker instead of a physical attacker
28: Hop stopping you every 5 minutes just to fight you
29: not being able to skip cutscenes in the sun and moon games
These are all so accurate.
@@rjs4176 That was a mistake on my part. I think I wrote this before I got the DLC for sword and shield. But thank you for correcting me anyway
@@alyssaoc9250 No problem. 👍
Crabwarler. A pokemon you get on the first island only evolves once at victory road. WTF
I feel like you actually could make a part 2...i was really expecting roaming legendaries
I don't miss roaming legendaries. They're just too frustrating to deal with.
ShadowSora8491 i don’t think anyone misses them...the only good thing about them is 9/10 the roaming pokemon you get after all of that tedium is worth it
Based on a new trailer for the crown tundra I think the galar birds may be roaming as you could see articuno flying around in normal gameplay
@@redrazorx-23 I have to give them that, considering that I still love Entei and Latios, to this day.
The dumbest thing Pokémon has ever done
Remove megas
ok tbh I'm actually glad Mega's are gone and hope they dont return cause of the power creep they caused and how every meta team HAD to have 1
Thank you, waiting for this comment!

Hop being made into Pokèmon Professer Assistant rather then a Trainer who works harder and trains to beat us someday.
That still hurts me how stupid it is.

How the difficulty settings in gen 5 were implemented.
@person person I think you missed the "implemented" part
On the "no E4 in SwSh" subject, it technically does have one, since you'll aways battle the same four trainerners near the end, It reusing major trainers for the fights (like Alola did) doesn't bother me, because (like in Alola) it fits the plot of the region, plus i prefer it over having character that exist solely to be the E4 and don't do much outside of it
It also felt more like the Anime which I thought was really cool
No, ShSw doesn't have an E4. It has a tournament but NOT an E4..the gym leaders you rebattle are fighting you in a tournament like deal for who gets to take on the champion, they aren't an E4. Alola DID have an E4, obviously it had to be made of earlier people as they just created theirs and the strongest trainers would be people you've already foughten, but SwSh literally has no E4.
Honestly the azure flute looks very easy compared to the fricking puzzles to unlock the Regis in gen 3 with you needing to learn a language for blind people and carry two Pokemon in certain spots of your team
