- In today's mario video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the bosses seen in the #mariokart games made by nintendo. Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen power ups like the fire flower, ice flower, super mushroom, mega mushroom, super star, hammer suit, spring mushroom and way more. But there were power ups that helped mario, luigi, toad, princess peach, rosalina and the others to escape bowser, the broodals, koopalings and bowser jr. The crazy 8 works by throwing the item in front of you when you press the item button. If the star is in front of your kart, using it will activate a star. If a green shell is in front, it will throw it. Hope this helps because this may not be entirely obvious

I find Bob-ombs unenjoyable. They're an Item you can only get in the middle and I end up blowing myself up more often than not whenever I get one
well that is just a skill issue ;) hahaha but no just messing with you, i get it the thing can be tricky and is certainly dangerous to use

The main reason why the golden is bad is because it can stop you from getting other items even if you spam it.

The goldshroom is blissful in my opinion. They can get your back in the game so nicely. If you complain, i'd put that to skill issue.
@@drwilyI don't like the bomerang flower item that much because I think it is really boring to use same with fire flower I would put the two of them in the E teir 14:19

I honestly think the lightning bolt should be more dreaded than the blue shell since it also takes away whatever item you have, in cases before it even decides what item you get.
You can avoid the blue shell taking your items. If you have something, don't arm it and you will still have the item.

Definitely, should have mentioned that with the blue shell at least you can kinda prepare for it and there's a countermeasure to it now, the lightning, it's instant,m no defense or anything.
I think the lightning bolt is not feared, because it affects (almost) all players evenly. Sure, it sucks to be hit by it, but it sucks for (again, almost) everyone, so it balances out. Granted, on 200cc you can apparently outrun blue shells for the entire race. I think it is PTSD from older games. I played Mario Kart Wii a lot, and I remember seeing them on the minimap, and just accepting my fate. There was no way to block them, and they lost you your item (there was only one slot at the time). It also stalled you much longer than most other items. Now it hits other players on the way now (it only used to hit others in the blast radius). It is certainly far less bad than it was, but the residual fear of older games caused me to dislike the item
At least it doesn't put you at a big disadvantage like Blue Shell, as you're the only one that is suffering when other drivers manage to dodge deathly blue.
The super horn and the boomerang would be switched in my tier list but that's the only chance.

I find your ranking very interesting and I agree with MOST of it... i too also love the Bob-Omb item, it's not the best in my opinion but it's my favourite, it's best to get it in the higher places though, that way you can just drop it behind you and use the rear view camera to see what happens provided you know where you are going, I'm not sure how I'd come up with my own ranking, all I know is I'd definitely put the star higher and the blooper lower, I'd also put the super leaf a lot lower but that is purely due to fact it's only found in battle mode....

To be fair to the super star one great thing it does it greatly increase your traction when off roading, so it can be a great find when you see a shortcut.

The boo item can also be really helpful if you're in first place and have a blue shell heading your way.

Crazy 8 is easily top tier, I'm not really sure why it is ranked the lowest. Easily brings down the entire tier list credibilitywise. Similarly the Lightning Bolt is probably the single best item in the game.

@@ethans9379 I'd say second place to lightning bolt. Bullet Bill is incredible, but it doesn't attack everybody on the course, removing all of their items, and lowering all their stats, does it? Bill's only use is getting nearer to the front.
@@shiningstarcaper that’s fair, but depending on the lap, getting to the front may or may not be the only thing that matters. I guess I’d say Lightning is best on the earlier laps, Bullet Bill is best on the final lap

The Golden Mushroom has often been really helpful for me to recover ground that i lost through sheer bad luck or being spam-attacked
Long time no see, mah boi. My personal favourites are Bullet Bill and Bob-omb (they have a great chemistry, I guess 🌚)

I agree with banana. Reason i wouldn't put it higher is because it's so darn prevalent. Nearly every time when i need a good item to attack, i get bananas. They're a bit too much sometimes, but they're cool for the reasons you described
I love throwing fireflowers backwards. It gets em 100% of the time, most of the time.😂
Piranha Plants are super cool, they're a perfect defense mechanism as well

10:44 Super mushrooms are B for me. My negative is that it's super hard to brake once you apply them. Yet, it's helpful to make good re-starts after a hit or falling off a cliff.
Lightning i would put in B-tier. It's super awesome, it can be frustrated when it's launched on you, but if you save this item for later, it's sooooo good

13:45 You are joking right????? Bob-ombs are far from S-tier, I would actually put them in B-grade. They are very nice, but have a huge drawback. Very often, despite being well-placed, they don't set off, allowing the driver in front to escape, in stead of blasting them like it's supposed to be. They very often catch you out instead and whilst deployed but not yet thrown, are making you vulnerable to sending you sky high when some item, say a red shell, hits you.

8:00 I would put Boo at D-tier, it's a silly little thing that doens't help your progress in any way. I get robbed more than that i find myself with helpful items if i do the stealing.
The star at least can damage others while help you be invincible

And, I wouldn’t say that the green shell is in the s tier. They don’t seek the player, and they only roll in a straight line.
I’d say the worst item would be the bomb bomb because it’s hard to control and it just explodes randomly, and the best one would be that queen mushroom thing because like, it gives you infinite energy for a short time.
For me the blue shell is worst. Mario Kart would be instantly better without it. It causes too much randomness and isn't a really fair item as it's hard to do something against it.
It makes sense for the coin to be low on the list but why is crazy 8, golden mushroom, lightning, star, and bullet bill low on the list. I just don't get it

In your video it is clear that you can choose what item you use on the crazy 8. As it spins around you the item in front of you when you activate is what gets used.

Bomb-Ombs can be really fun to use, but you have a litid window of opportunity to obtain them AND use them. Since I don't have any of the DLC, I wouldn't know about the Boomerang Flower, Golden Mushroom, or Crazy 8. Never been in Battle mode either(again, no DLC)

The bob omb is a bit flawed, it's satisfying when it works, but too often, it does not and doesn't catch a driver ahead in explosion, but is endlessly idle and doesn't go off. When you keep it hanging back and you get hit, you're doomed as well
7:02 At least the CPU and the multiplayers are effected as well so yeah, B-tier item for me. Not the most useful if you want to stop others in their tracks, but it still can be crucial at times and for me they're not hard to deal with if i know the circuit well

9:54 Nahhh, super horn is B for me. It can be nice but requires more accuracy, you have to time it right when a red shell homes in on you. So it's a bit, not as great as it could've been.

Yeah the Fire Flower in my book is C-tier. It isn't as helpful as it seems at first glance. They were actually better in Mario Kart 7.
I put Bullet Bill down to C-tier, as it's a freaking easy item that doesn't require skill and often the people close behind you when your 6th, use it and pass you easily while you're on a recovery drive, often just at the finish line.... great...... when I need one, i never get it.
I also hate the fact that it just randomly just releases you while you're in a sharp turn, which means i often fell of the edge when the item ran out of function.... not cool....
ngl blooper is basically only good in online play when the people are like 3000 vr

i still prefer mario kart 64. items actually had impact. you did not wanna get hit by someone with a star. shells actually wrecked. lightning was amazing running people over. ever since mk doubledash, items have gotten weaker and too child friendly. in mk64 when you got hit, you felt it hard
well yeah in some ways balancing has made a lot of stuff pointless, its a bit of a random dice roll at times
