Dual dark sounds killer but man, that Matamp REALLY does it for me
Gt1 got fat and square sound, no fizzy hiss, my most fav amp ever
The DD for cleans was phenomenal!

Great job on the comparison. Both sound great in their own ballpark. But I mean…Matamp with all it’s saturation sounds like you have a dirty clean channel. All the dynamics, all the frequencies are there. DD is awesome for wuick modern sounds. Like a british Mesa.
DD100 sounded the same on channel A and on ch B. I went back and watched again and I didn’t see you switch the channels, we’re you using a pedal?

Which tuning are you playing in?
Have you played a gt120mv or a series3000? If so how do they compare to the gt1. Im about to buy a matamp and just want to make the right choice i mainly want it for the fuzzy square wave gain

@C0nnie the black one? Thats wild lol. No it hasnt arrived yet due to ups dragging their feet. Its been literally 2 miles away for 2 days at a ups place but they wont let me pick it up till monday

Dual Dark sounds kinda muffled like you would have to really crank the treble to get it to stand out in a mix. They probably sound great together though.
Yea that’s my opinion as well. The dual dark has its place but it’s very quilted sounding to me and compressed
It’s also my first time trying to record and edit a demo vid so I think I could’ve done a better job dialing in amp levels. The orange was definitely a little more quiet but the gt1 is loud as hell either way haha
@@brattjames All a learning process. My GTO was indeed one of the loudest heads I've owned. Still interested in the DD100 but prices are insane right now.

No but similar. Just a standard egc baritone with an acrylic body

Dual dark sounded better, best orange amp ever imo
The Matamp will last longer.
I guess we will see..they were both built in 2017.. the matamp has had a few issues ironically
