I am new to Subarus I got a 2011 wrx with 87k miles on it it has an e-tune done by torqued performance, turbo smart recirculating valve, invidia catted downpipe, and spt exhaust. I will probably keep the car how it is don't want it to be heavily modified I will be daily driving it and looking to get the most longevity I can. I need to do an oil change soon and I am not sure what oil would be best to use I watched your old videos where u tested Castrol and motul. I have also been told to use rotella t-6 also should I be using oem oil filter? If any one can give me any help/tips would be appreciated, thank you. Also keep it up w the content ur videos teach me a lot
5W40 is a safe bet for stock and modified subarus. Rotella changed their formula a few years back and i wouldent suggest using it. Havoline is my go to for my street cars 🙏

I'm currently struggling with removing the intake manifold, the Subaru spaghetti all over that thing is intimidating.
You should make a video of upgrades that help mileage.. would upgrading a fuel pump need a tune and will it waste more gas?...also what part did u say in a previous video about "when u feel the car wanting to turn off" when stopped to go....also did u ever find out what makes it hard to find the gears?....also what kartboy short shifter best u had said. No tune needed for a fuel pump You won't see any change in milage as the Regulator and injectors dictate fuel spray as does the tune. As for the gears, the reverse gears is damaged so it physically will not move in reverse 😅
You should just go ahead and refresh the engine, better safe than sorry, and just like you said in the video it’s a good habit/right way of doing things. Also you could be saving yourself from an unknown problem
Hello. My ABS light has been on since i got my 05 WRX. I know there are multiple things that could be causing it but could aftermarket wheel/tire specs throw the ABS light? Does anyone have any sources to send taht could help diagnose why its on?
Dude I'm ripping out my old boost controller bracket aswell... That bloody bracket has been in there long enough. Looks alot smarter! Any tips for installing guages? Especially Oil pressure.
What I wouldn't give to import a JDM blobeye... only a few years left!! Personally, as iconic as WRB is for all STis.. white goes hard on this chassis. Love the content!!

Idk man one of the problems on my car is the faction fabs. They’re the FL series and one year old. They make popping sounds when turning. When you contact faction fab they just say the noise is normal lol. The ride is alright though
How do you begin to acquire car knowledge to the point where you can take on projects like these? I’ve been on and off wanting to dive deeper into this type of stuff but there’s always a money barrier. I can watch TH-cam videos all day but I’m a hands on learner so videos don’t quite do it
Speaking of subs, I have 2 12s in my trunk. Well, my apr wings clearcoat is failing so I'm warranting it. I noticed the bass has cracked the glue that mounts the foil to the uprights that bolt to the risers. So ya, sub kind of stupid. 100 pounds extra being carried around just to ruin your wing🤣 not to mention every electrical problem that happens its always "did the amp do this🤔"

On this episode of days of Tanners life lol. Love the video, got u some nice chemicalguys stuff. Car is coming along sweet just more work than u thought.
You may have problems with that new fuel sock. If you compare it with the old one you took out, it is angled downwards. You may run into surging issues which the GD already suffers from with the proper fuel sock.
AOS for reliability. It can be a very daunting install though. Tanners got a few videos on installing. I just did the IAG AOS on my 20' STI. The hose clamps are a pain. Im not a very experienced mechanic, so I studied his videos. Along with having a printed copy of IAGs instructions helped significantly. If ou want more driver centric mod, I did the kartboy short shifty with the bushings. It's fairly easy but the bushings kinda suck.
