You have inspired me a lot with your yoga practicing. These breathing exercises need a lot of attention on how to go about it and your detailed explanation with the action gives one the correct posture and amount of air to inhale and exhale at the right time. The asanas too require a rhythm when to inhale and when to exhale and the mind concentrates only on the correct way to bend and follow the exercise but in the process the rhythm of inhaling and exhaling is lost and I think that's where the practice loses the benefits isn't it? I have a lot of gut issues, my stomach produces a lot of more acid then the normal. Have been on anti acid medicines but that gives a temporary relief. Maybe these diaphragmic breathing exercises will help me overcome my gut issues as the acid reflux is becoming worse. Maybe you can help me with the correct yoga practice to overcome my problem.
