I like your maintenance vids! Just the instruction you need, No bull in between. My drain plug was a 14mm. After market plug? Thanks CycleCruza! You’re the best!
I noticed the new skid plate!! I read one of the other comments about not using a torque wrench to loosen. I agree with that but I don't think it would throw off the calibration. It might if it was a needle type torque wrench but probably not with a clicker. I just think it's one of those unwritten rules. I know the stuff you were torqueing was not critical but it is good practice to have your hand on the knurled section of the torque wrench when torqueing critical things like head bolts Main bearing caps etc. Don't take it the wrong way. I'm not picking on you. Just passing on knowledge. I almost didn't even write this cuz I hate it when people find fault with everything. I'm not one of those people...
Just got a new 2017 WR250R and anticipating doing the oil change at 600 miles. Been shopping around and can't seem to find a torque wrench that can do less than 10 ft/lbs. Any recommendations? Thanks for the clear vid btw. Much appreciate your vids. Your vids had a big influence on which dual sport to finally pull the trigger on.
Hmm. . . May I ask for some advice how to choose my beginner motorcycle? In Indonesia, there's is about 2 kind of 150cc motorcycle, they are the Yamaha YZF R-15 and the Honda All-New CBR150R, you might one to find it in the internet for it, cause it wasn't famous enough in Amarica and Europe, maybe just in Asia. From the price the Yamaha is affordable enough than the Honda, like your video as before I've watched, but which one I choose? From the features the Honda is win than the Yamaha. But, I think I could modify the Yamaha for that feature, please give me some advice. Thank you Cyclecruza.
Yo Brother, you should use full synthetic oil, especially in these small, high revving motors. My preference is Amsoil, or at least Mobil 1 I also use a jack-stand under the right peg and lean the bike over just far enough to get the oil filter cover off without dripping onto the skid plate. You can also use a tie-down strap attached to the ceiling and to the handle bars, lean it over that way. Update: Saw below on why you use part synth oil right now, I say screw it, I use synth from day 1, my motors last forever! Good vid.
Very nice and clear instructions man, that last bolt was pretty awkward to get at. What I would have like to seen is a n oil change on your other yellow bike. :)
Seeing the comments on this video and the past video about you potentially buying an s1000rr is building hype cruza xD And btw when will you do a mod showcase of your wr250?
Funny how it is factory recommended to add 1.48 quarts of oil. I'm lucky if I can estimate 1.5. Wondering how critical it is at + or - .02 qts. Thanks again for a great video.
+Jeff Porcaro Groove Master The service manual says so, best to follow the manufacturer's recommendation, especially during your warranty period. The o-ring is cheap anyways,, buy in bulk it's even cheaper.
thanks...i respect your discipline (which was seen in your bug out conversion)...EPIC effort bro! you set the standard and I've shared in many forums. you should do a 10 min edit of your entire conversion in one video!
I’ve been looking at the WR250R and the Suzuki DRZ400S. My local dealer just got both in stock this week ( 2019 models) AND ... a 2016 WR250R with only 158 miles on it for $4,995 plus tax ( $5,300 OTD) it’s like new , really nice , is that a fair price ?
+Erick Herrera 1st oil change, you are not supposed to use full synth until about 2k+ miles. This is part synthetic oil. After the next oil change I'll switch to rotella.

checking for oil flow is somewhat bizarre on today's modern engines don't you think CycleCruza ?
Thanks man! I just bought a used 2015 wr250r and this video helped me out. Any other videos on maintenance for the WR would be great!
Someone please tell me why he had the loosen the bolt to see if oil was flowing
I want more videos on your WR250R. I recently bought a 2015 WR250R about a month ago. Only 3500 miles on it.
You should do a video on the early information given about the 2017 cbr1000rr.
How to change the oil and oil filter on a yamaha wr250r.
+slimjim355 This video explains : th-cam.com/video/1sUX7n7-ZpU/w-d-xo.html
On my CRF250L the owner's manual says to straight up change out the sealing washer for a new one every time, if I'm remembering correctly
How exactly does a body tighten 3 bolts, in a triangular layout, criss-cross style?
Perhaps the cleanest wr250r iv ever seen :) cheers for the tutorial brother

Jack Pacleb check harbor freight or auto zone. I have a small torque 1/4 drive that measures inch lbs
thank you!
Thanks SATOWNDOWN. Just ordered it from Harbor Freight thanks to you.
the manual says to replace both O-rings. there's a dime-sized one near the top screw of the cover.
FYI - My wr250r 2.0 fully modded bike unveiling video: th-cam.com/video/fgP95j6TrvQ/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the video bro...where can i buy the skid plate like yours thanks
there was a very small O ring included in my kit. After opening the Oil filter cover I could see where it goes and anyone else would also.
it good to see you maintain your bikes

Good vid, what hand guards are you using? Little mirrors?
You do top notch maintenance videos Cruza thanks great job!
I use full synthetic oil only in mine amsoil 10w 40 no need to losses up that bolt to check for oil flow
How many km can run only one oil change .
Yo Brother, you should use full synthetic oil, especially in these small, high revving motors. My preference is Amsoil, or at least Mobil 1

If you use two different oils, is there going to be any problem with those two mixing up as there is still some left overs in the loop?
+Jerombolo No problem.
CycleCruza okay :D
U can mix oil if the oil is the same viscosity and both synthetic or both conventional
Your torque wrench is a 3/8 drive? How low can the measurement go for that one you have?
Hi where you can buy enduro wheels wr250r
Surprised you didn't get the zeta billet kit
What skid plate is that
Can you record doing a oil change on your motorcycle?
Big fan and love your videos!!...Your bike is really clean and still looks good. well done
Very nice and clear instructions man, that last bolt was pretty awkward to get at. What I would have like to seen is a n oil change on your other yellow bike. :)
Thanks for showing this. Way easier than my old, bunky, XR650L.
Thanks for the video. Looks like you did a good job. Keep having fun.
Enjoy your Vids (WR250R)

Jack Pacleb it’s negligible, 1.5 qts is fine
u really need to change the O ring every change? how did you know the torque specs for the specific screws, etc?
+Jeff Porcaro Groove Master The service manual says so, best to follow the manufacturer's recommendation, especially during your warranty period. The o-ring is cheap anyways,, buy in bulk it's even cheaper.

Is there a link for the oil o ring
So that's how you change the oil on a dual sport. I never realized that the filter was so small! Nice job handling business with one hand...LOL!
Sweet video dude! 😁
Yo, CC what's the best motorcycle gear brand out there?
dainese, but it's expensive
+Rider 23 There is a few of them but most popular (and most expensive) is dainese and alpinestars.
most major brands should be good, just be careful it's not a knockoff counterfeit version

Just what I was lookin’ for. 👍
Thanx. 🙏
What was the point of the gloves?
Very nice and informative video CC. Like always
Hey Yo! You from Nablu?
+CycleCruza sorry man for getting on your comments section and talking smack to people who don't know shit as always great video love your channel man
Should've put oil in the o-ring on the filter cover.. but whatever
or you did?
Chris G there’s probably enough residual oil left on it to suffice.
Cycle Cruza :D good mechanic skills 👊👊(for all haters I know it's basic knowledge )
Thanks bro
Hummm back to basics that i never do
Clean video
Been looking at buying one of these bikes, every one I've looked at has the oil way overfilled!!
Are you sure your checking it correctly
Great video
Awesome how to video ;)
You should had used the Rotella...
+Erick Herrera 1st oil change, you are not supposed to use full synth until about 2k+ miles. This is part synthetic oil. After the next oil change I'll switch to rotella.
Me and My wife always bet on how many curse words we will get in a cruza video. This is the first video without any F words. I was betting at least 4
+AHS Society I made a goal to cut down on the cussing. lol It's a bad habit, nothing wrong with a little cussing but sometimes I cuss like a trucker. lol Not on purpose though.
Good
just 1.4 quarts😅wow moto maintenance really is cheap especially doing it on your own
+Fritz Krieger 1.48 qts if changing out the oil filter.
If that's 7.2 ft lbs of torque, then my name is Mikki Mouse.
the bike is all white.
Skin reveal!!!!!
Buy the bmw 1000rr already
Dude get the BMW s1000rr
