I adjusted the chain slack on my wr250r today for the first time using this video as a guide. Thank you for the clear instruction.

It will help with your wear on the sprockets for sure. Clean and properly adjusted chains last way longer. Having had the bike now for 4 years now with 12000km now the rear sprocket teeth have minimal to no wear on them. Obviously the chain has stretched a bit and I’ve adjusted it a few times now. I have a motto In life I live by! If you look after it, it will look after you. Cheers

Great video!! I’m gonna sound like a dad (I am) but those chain cleaners/degreasers contain some nasty solvents (trichloroethylene for one) that work great but are transdermal, meaning the chemicals go right through your skin, so it’s incredibly important to wear nitrile gloves when messing with it. A lot of it is highly carcinogenic and should be avoided.

if you dont pressure wash it, it aint clean. no matter how much you scrub it.

Do 'not' do that if you have o or x-ring chains as the pressure can get behind the rings and wash out the grease inside.

This is NOT how you properly measure chain slack. If your going to waist your time doing a video like this you should at least do it correctly.

It’s how I have done it for years. Never had an issue. I also still haven’t worn out my chain/sprockets or my swingarm and I have over 13000km on the way I do it. But Thanks for your feed back. Cheers
