    After 14 years of lusting after a 656 I finally ordered myself a 556A today. Ordered it with the white stitched black leather strap. I'm so looking forward to wearing it.

    Watching this video while wearing my 556i I have had it now for about a month and it’s a excellent watch perfect size for my 6.75 inch wrist ... solidly built and keeps tremendous time -2/+4 mostly falls within -2

    I’m definitely going to keep my eye out for the Anniversary model. I was debating between this and the 104, but I guess it all now depends what watch I stumble across first.

      Personally I’d go for the 104 the Anniversary model I have now sold as I found myself always wearing the (A) model

      @@ClickSpringReview I was never a fan of the numerals of the 556A. Don’t get me wrong, I love my numerals. I own an alpinist and I really wish I could afford a Rolex Explorer, but something about Sinn’s numerals looks to industrial looking for me.

      @@ClickSpringReview I just googled it and I saw your video lmao. Interesting look. I am kind of thinking of getting a beads of rice bracelet from Uncle Seiko for my Alpinist, but I'm sill unsure yet. Right now, I'm really planning to get a steel sportswatch. Currently looking at 3 watches (open to more recommendations)
      - Baltic Aquascaphe Blue Dial (if I don't want to spend too much)
      - Formex Essence 39
      - Sinn 556i/Sinn 104
      I initially wanted to get a Longines Conquest 39mm because it wasn't too expensive on Jomashop, but I realised that I am not a fan how the numerals look there. Too wide, looks unelegant to me.

  • @jeanlefranc3817
    @jeanlefranc3817 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Not impressed by the Anniversary which has no real distinctive Sinn design trait. Could say Seiko on the dial and nobody would think twice
    On the other side, the 556A with its fighter plane dashboard instrument look, the best matt black / white hands contrast in the game, and the same perfect dimensions is a winner. I would go as far as to say the 556A is the modern day Rolex 1016 Explorer, with a superbly integrated date window to boot. Not to mention a sensible price point, so you’re never afraid of having this watch on your wrist for camping, cycling, traveling...

      I have the 104 a.b.e. And plan on adding the 556a soon only because I’m beginning to wish my 104 wasn’t polished. The 556 looks brushed and I prefer that look.

    I have black mop. Bought because I couldn't afford a Rolex OP and the only alternative with its chronometer grade movement imo. It's become my everyday wearer ( all be it quite an expensive one). Interesting dial with flashes of translucent burgundy and green yet classy uncluttered no date, no fuss. Had to buy new because they're like unicorns second hand with H bracelet. Also, if you're going to go sinn then the signature h bracelet is the only option imo

    I already have a 556a and love it. If I were to get another, I would most likely go for a dark M.O.P.
    .....Even though the Anniversary is limited, it's no more special than the other models with applied markers imho

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see where your coming from Phil the M.O.P ones do look good , The one thing which sets the Anniversary apart from the rest it has the more expensive ETA 2824 movement and not the SW200 , I believe it was the last of the models to use this

    • @PapaGoodness_74
      @PapaGoodness_74 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ClickSpringReview I get that. It's definately a shame that while the price has gone up, they stopped using the ETA in the 556's. I know there are lots of people that would choose the ETA over the Sellita. Personally, I have an EZM3 (ETA) and a U1 (Sellita) also. The 556 with the Sellita is the one keeping the best time at the moment (+1spd) so I'm really not fussy. That's just a personal viewpoint.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PapaGoodness_74 Most of my Sinn's are older ones now and so have the ETA movement , If I could only have one 556 I would go for the 556A , But the Anniversary model does look from certain angles as the makers really do pop from the dial , One of my friends says he'd go for the Anniversary model over the other it just looks more special so its just down to person taste

    @vmarsch 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I recently purchased a Sinn 556A RS (red second hand) on the fine link bracelet. My (tiny) minority view is that the H-link bracelet doesn't look quite right on any of the 556 models. The links are too chunky and the clasp too thick for a no-bezel, time-only pilot's watch, IMHO.
