    It is not antomagnetic up to 1000 gauss. That's the distinction between the 556 and the 856. The 856 has the soft Iron core. A glass bottom can never be antimagnetic. It has "antimagnetisch"written on it's back because the key components are hard to magnetize but far fromm 1000gauss

    • @stuartcole4845
      @stuartcole4845 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s 60 gauss.

      @jipke 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is a lot of bullshit in reviews out there concerning Sinn's antimagnetism. I see the same thing with 104 reviews. Because it says antimagnetic on the back people automatically assume it is superduper resistant to magnetic fields. I have had no problems with my 104, but neither have I with my Hamilton Khaki field watch. People tend to parrot what they hear from other reviewers.

      I mean, the 15000 gauss Omegas have exhibition case backs

    • @BrewReview
      @BrewReview ปีที่แล้ว

      True, the tech specs list a compliance adhering to the bare minimum for a watch to be considered antimagnetic - which is 60gauss. This is the equivalent to a refrigerator magnet which typically clocks in at about 50gauss. The 856 is an entirely different animal and packs much more Sinn tech and a healthier resistance to magnetic fields, particularly.

      @@stuartcole4845have myself 3 Sinn 104 , 105 and U50 S the best looking one my opinion 104 dressy with the H link bracelet or a tool every day with a canvas or leather strap very well made watch them the 105 S-330-2 UTC black dial orange second time zone sporty watch model very nice and cost me 1.300€ bit less accurate but nothing special and now it’s around 1650€ finally the U50 S all black version Tegimented stealthy and a monster watch hard to scratch have the black tegimented bracelet woohhh superb more sporty with red silicone strap and a very expensive clasp that’s almost like a panzer tank have it on a grey canvas from Sinn goes under the radar a lot for almost 3k € watch of course bought it last summer 2300€ with silicone strap and clasp the bracelet got a nice not so nice price but 240€ now it’s 350€ like the host said watches price’s and gear etc are sky rocket 🚀😡 back 2 years a 104 would cost less than thousand euros they say it’s because of the war Russia - Ukraine that’s not correct the all industry watches, food, electricity etc. are cashing huge amounts 💰because they can and know people are buying it all this was when Covid showed now they all take advantage but my guess at least in Europe people are starting to buy less so I think they will have to drop off prices or else instead of Quartz crises will be buy 2 hand or trade off!
      Do like that 556 A , have my eye on one less 1250€ in a H link bracelet but not sure yet have a Seiko Alpinist it’s same size and it just looks very small in my wrist have a 6,70 inches size and like more a 40/41 mm case than a 38,5 mm almost looks like a girls watch 😆!
      All the best and keep up with your cool videos by the way my U 50 is for sure the best hard core watch not big fan of Subs a Daytona it’s my fault didn’t bought it few years but we all have to choose an expensive watch or a car ? If was billionaire of course had already bought my cool Daytona oysterfelx everose , and a Yacht master platinum blue seconds hand amazing and last not least a milgauss steel blue metallic dial stunning watch 😎 !
      Keep dream about it 😆 not Billionaire let’s just stay in real and have few other brands and priorities than buy an house for my wrist and then sleep in down the bridge 😆!

    Really wonderful review. Thanks so much, you've got a new subscriber! The 556A is a future GADA for me. Amazing to see the 104 too, could definitely see myself with a 103, white 104 and a 556A at some stage 😁

    Nice video! I own the 856 and really love it. The 856 is slightly larger (40mm) and is loaded with much more technology. But can’t go wrong with either version. These are truly watches you can wear anywhere and never have to worry about it. It will take anything you can dish out and never look the worse for wear.

    I've owned the 556a for almost a year now. Its BY FAR my favorite watch. I'm still shocked at how well it keeps time. The bracelet if comfortable and it goes with all types of nato straps. Late to comment on this video, but if you're thinking about buying this watch.... DO IT!

    I own a 556 A exactly like this one, and it is my all-time favorite watch. I get how you'd think it looks a bit boring - but being a NATO-strap enthusiast, I see that as one of its top features. You can wear this thing on a plain black strap, or the most painfully garish one you can think of. There isn't a strap in the world that doesn't go well with a 556!
    Also, I love the super-matte dial and the offset but still correctly oriented date.

    I have the 556Ai withthe indices which is just amazing and more discreet than the arabic numerals, I do not have an issue with the bracelet clasp its really a minor issue and the its my every day watch so the 38 power reserve is made up by the top grade Selita SW200 accuracy which has been further regulated by SInn, leaving it on its side over night I get 1 second added a day.
    The only gripe I have witht his particular model is the 12 o'clcok position does not have a different colour of lume and as a result I have miss read the time in the middle of the night a few times. Although the price has gone up, it was heavily undervalued to begin with so its is still amazing value for money and I see the rices in the next two years going up by another 200 hence why I bought one!!!

  • @garyboyle695
    @garyboyle695 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I've never understood the need for a long power reserve, the movement is an engine, the longer it runs the more maintenance it needs. Do you park the car at night and leave the engine running so it's good to go the next day?

    1-This is not antimagnetic to 1000 gauss. That feature comes with 836 and 856 line.
    2- The Top Grade of Sellita line up is not the top of the line. There’s Top Grade but that comes before the Chronometer grade which IS the top grade.
