I’ve a Seiko Alpinist it looks too small compared with my other watches (41 mm or 42 ) plus the price compared with the 556 it’s bit more expensive 😉 almost same design! Is this calibre better option than the 2824-2 or this is more close to the higher calibres ? @@69fastfurious I have a feeling the 43mm case would be to big Sir I'd stick with the 556 I wear one and I've almost a 18.5cm wrist in fact I've just order a Nomos and thats also a 38.5mm watch and I have a mini Alpinist at 38mm . Sinn somehow still have a few ETA movement no idea how , What do you think of the U50 or 144 ? , I have no problems with the SW movements as they only use top grade ones, The SW300 in the U50 is really good 👍
@@ClickSpringReview hi thank you for letting me know your opinion about the 43 case , I’ll have to wait until Sinn sends it to a near by store 😉 sending from Sinn’s it will be bit more expensive, about the U50 SW-300 it’s a very accurate calibre plus with Sinn’s magic fine tune it’s a COSC certified diver it’s expensive I’ve got the full tegimented ( want the SDR ) but they din’t have it so I bought it no regrets only it’s a very stealth watch at least nobody’s would look at it as a almost 3 k euros piece 😉 , the 104 I have it’s the black dial with index’s spot on as well only the clasp you know it’s to polish so it will get lots of scratches, but for that I’ll change it for a silicone or for a leather that’s it very versatile Watch I’m tented to buy a another one but already have almost same case design 105 UTC black dial sand blasted version that one is running 5 seconds less compared with my other 104 and U50 S Sinn’s wish i was near your country Mr Barry maybe you could fine tune it for me 😉, in Portugal specially in algarve it’s very hard to get a good watch maker plus there’s no Sinn AD in Portugal I bought my watches in the Netherlands 👌😉 anyway 5 seconds less it’s almost nothing If I saw that in the beginning they would say it’s on the specs so .. anyway I’ll think I’ve got to wait it’s better not spending such a cash and then … you don’t like it etc , not a rich person ! Hi, I’ve tried the 556i, perfect size for me. How does the u50 compare on the wrist, much bigger? The u50 obviously pricier, is it worth upgrading for the extra technology like tegiment.
My exact watch except I chose the black leather strap with the red stitching to match the RS. Love it, have been wearing it daily since acquiring 7.5 months ago. Great video, as always.
Hi Shipmate, long time no hear CW watches are always going to cheaper as they have direct sales but unfortunately that means you can not try before you buy , Sinn when compared to many other still offer good valve look at Seiko MM300 or Breitling Colt which are about the same price as a fully Tegimeted U50 the Sinn out does them both in pretty well everything
I have the exact model but I put in on Sinns canvas/leather strap. I own a sub, a Black bay, a couple Tags and higher end Seikos. This watch finds more time on my wrist by far. Idk what it is.
I bought the standard 556A in 2019 and have enjoyed it a lot since Made the usual mistake of ordering it in the (very good) rubber strap to save a few bucks compared to the H-link bracelet which I eventually acquired. The rubber fits the case so tightly that it’s almost impossible to remove without scratching it, and the large clasp is, well, really large. Better have an 8 inch wrist to pull it out. If only I could have the red seconds hand retrofitted on my Sinn, it would be close to perfection.

Always like this model versatile and very well designed and built like all my 3 Sinn’s well done Mr Barry wish you a happy new year plus lots of success with your watchmaker education degree ( sorry if it’s not correct ) that model is polished or it’s beat blasted version, do you think the H link bracelet from the 104 version fits ? Does the version you’re reviewing satin with satin fine bracelet? I’ve got under my eye a model with index’s ( do prefer that one😉) the reference is Sinn 556 I RS Bracelet 556.0106 this one not sure if it’s satin or bead blasted steel H link bracelet. Hi Jose and thank you :) this model has a satin finish to it as to does the bracelet , unfortunately the end links of the 104 don't fit the 556 , I would be interested if you could just buy the end links and then swap the bracelet round I guess that maybe do able , all the best

I just bought the 556a. Nicest watch I own. My only issues is sometimes the white second hand confused me for the minute hand, don’t know why. Anyone else have this problem? Almost makes me want to switch to the RS.
@@ClickSpringReview Thanks for your reply. I bought it at Classic Watch, which I think is an AD. I’m in the States. I’m really happy with it; im sure I’ll get used to it. It’s already got some mild hairline scratches on the case so I doubt it’s returnable.
I got mine about a week ago… super happy with it! And the accuracy is actually super good. I re set the time three days ago and so far it’s only about half a second slow. Mine came with the silver rotor instead of the gold, which was slightly disappointing but not a big deal. At first I was slightly disappointed in the small size but I’ve gotten used to it. The lume is also slightly disappointing. Looks nice but doesn’t last very long. I charged it up before bed with UV light and I woke up in the middle of the night (around 3am) and the glow was totally gone. Not a huge deal as i will hardly be in an emergency situation where it’s pitch dark and need to look at the time on my watch, but to me good lume should be a feature of a high quality sports watch.

I really wanted an Omega seamaster but i ended up deciding that I just don’t make enough money yet to justify a $4-$5k USD watch just yet. Told myself I will have to earn it by accomplishing my next career goal or life milestone so I can enjoy it guilt-free. Perhaps when I save my first $100k in savings!
Got the same watch this week on an H Link bracelet. Perfect size on my 6 3/4 in. wrist. Runs at +2. Awesome watch. The crown is particularly easy to grab and wind, more so than any watch I own.
Hey bro, 6.5'' wrist here, how happy are you with the bracelet? I really don't want to spend the extra money but the strap version is out of stock and I'm sick of waiting. Is the 3 micro adjusts enough for a perfect fit? Is the clasp too large/chunky in proportion to the rest? Do you find yourself changing to a strap or nato very often?
@@miniapplesun I love the H-Link bracelet it feels very solid and adds a good bit of weight to it and gives it a real tool watch appearance , Personally I find the adjustment spot on, the clasp is very slim and fits well , I sometimes swap it for a leather strap but 90% of the time i pair it with the bracelet , Let me know if you get one what you think of to it Sir
@@miniapplesun bracelet is good overall. Had to take out 3 links and have the micro adjust on the loosest fit. A fourth micro adj would have helped but it worked out.The clasp is a little thick but not really an issue. I tried to remove the bracelet but the end links are just too tight to the case. Will try again later. Had the same issue with my Breitling Superocean, but I finally got it off. Have to move each side of the end link slightly to do it. I will be switching it out for natos/rubber straps at some point. Wearing with the bracelet is very comfortable. I had to wait twice for the bracelet version. They sell fast. I think the bracelet is worth waiting for IMHO.

I recently acquired this watch and I am really enjoying it. I wish it had ”Automatik” on the dial like the 556i though. Great review.

The U50 doesn't feel that much bigger at all , I wouldn't up grade just for the tech I'd only upgrade because I like the look of the watch Greg

I wear a Ranger and like it very much, but I miss a date window sometimes. This Sinn checks all the boxes for, especially the 200m rating.
The 556 is just a great all rounder Sir

I can't say I've had that problem myself Mark but if you got the watch from a dealer they may take it back and allow you to swap it to an RS

@@miniapplesun bracelet is good overall. Had to take out 3 links and have the micro adjust on the loosest fit. A fourth micro adj would have helped but it worked out.The clasp is a little thick but not really an issue. I tried to remove the bracelet but the end links are just too tight to the case. Will try again later. Had the same issue with my Breitling Superocean, but I finally got it off. Have to move each side of the end link slightly to do it. I will be switching it out for natos/rubber straps at some point. Wearing with the bracelet is very comfortable. I had to wait twice for the bracelet version. They sell fast. I think the bracelet is worth waiting for IMHO.

Nice watch i picked up a S/H one for $900aud and its a solid watch!
Thats a great price and paid around the same price for my one S/H
