There are some posts on the web showing their superior work and how easy it is but they have those top of the line booths and other equipment that are not available to the average garage like yours! Their conditions are second to none and never show issues that need corrections so the learning curve for novices is almost none! Two thumbs to you for showing your problems and the ones average people will have to contend with along with their corrections! 👍👍

Yes it's hilarious how they flex "look at me no dust in the paint " Yea and you needed a 300,000$ booth to do it 😂😂😂😂😂 I can get the same finish in my little china blow up 1000$ booth with a tiny bit of de-nib and buff afterwards.

@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 don't forget most small shops are with 1 or 2 people working in it not having body men then the prep station where they pressure wash and prepare for paint then the painters helper who assists the painter before the actual spraying! That's why when you charge "X" for a paint job their price is 3 to 4 times as much as yours! Large shops = many employees = high payroll = $$$$$$$ Most of those shops are doing insurance jobs no out of pocket cash from owner insurance pays pretty good!

Air of course works well, as well as a rinse, then several hours of dust settling plus lots of air movement with incoming air filtered to remove small birds, squirrels, pollen, gnats, squitos, dog hair, grass, hot glue strings, lint, human hair, long hair, short hair, fuzz balls, cob webs, fishing line,

I have a question that I cannot find the answer to. So my Uncle just painted his Road Runner with a royal blue single stage that he says has the clearcoat already premixed into the single stage. So with that being said, I never really polished and corrected this type of paint. He has sand marks on the doors still and they didn’t buff out. How the hell do I cut, buff, polish this paint? It is a damn headache to work with! Lol. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. Great video too!

Man I started a crazy regimen before a paint job and it seems to work. First vacuum every single thing you can reach on the floor or accumulated anywhere. Then use compressed air and/or yard blower to get every single piece of dust in your environment airborne, with fans back and front directing dust out and filtered air in. Then do that again. Let dust settle, vacuum again, blow again, let the fans blow for hours. Keep humidity very low and temp moderate cause using a misting sprayer I barely moisten anywhere dust might be, the plastic masking itself away from the paint, wall, ceiling, other masking, the floor under the vehicle, nooks and crannies, but very, very little, as you don’t want a rush of humidity, but if you start with 30% ish, no worries, and of course keep the infrared heat going while moistening things. If you see water running it’s too much. If you don’t see any running it’s too little. Get it?
Keep air moving across paint surface, most important is a sucking side, and less blowing side concentrated on the panels. I use a fresh washed flannel fitted sheet around the back door, half open, held with bungees and spacer, and box fans frame, screwed and taped off so all income air has to come through the sheet. Better than nothing. Outwards fans need no filters. Crap WILL get through every crack and sooner or later by the fifth attempt after sanding so many times you’ve lost track, you’ll get most of the cracks and gaps sealed. I use an old radiator electric fan form a Mercury Milan hooked to a battery as a downdraft fan pulling overspray away from the panels. When I’m doing a side I put it facing down level with th rockers. Works just like a down draft, looks like an overspray waterfall getting pulled through that fan, that much less overspray, and pulls virtually none of the product going directly to the panel. Proper humidity, air flow, air temp, Ames for quick flash times, amd less exposure to dust. I regularly air spray the dust off of base coat before clear coat and it’s a lot of very fine normal dust but it all goes away cause the surface is dry so quickly yet flows out still, best if both worlds. Last bumper I did black got zero nibs, had one tiny gnat fly in, snagged it with a pitchfork, covered it with Ned t coat of clear, gone! Now, how do I bleed one corner of an otherwise glass black hood? Somehow overspray got from the passenger side application onto the already finished hood. Damn. Tried wet sanding it, touched primer. Damn, Gotta respray hoping to not need full hood respray. Oh well. Don’t know how that happened as obsesssed as I am, still made crucial mistake. Seriously don’t know how got got there, but it did.
