    I have been trying various brands of clear and base over the past 3 years and have got quite a few sags and runs in the clear. For me poor lighting is a huge factor in getting them. Your comment that you would rather push the clear and get a run than have a dry job is spot on and quite reassuring to a guy who only paints maybe 2-3 cars a year. You are the best!

    Thanks for making my wife’s boss’s car look better than pre-loss condition. I tried to find that run after you removed it and couldn’t. Nice job bro.

    I had painted an old car of mine. Single stage Centari. Metallic. Few runs. Friend who does nothing but buffs cars all day at a body shop. Buffed car for me. I had wet sanded car 1000-2000. Watching him razor the runs out and buff. Shows what thousands of hours of experience does. 😊. Excellent Kandy man.

    Great work buddy getting them out like that saves a re do and time and money.i have used the polyester putty method a few times over the years and does work pretty good on bigger runs as you don’t rub down around the run just the run itself:) keep them coming buddy love the updates 👍👍

    Thanks for vid. New learning is the pre sand so it helps bring out the run definition. I have a similar run in a door I just did so watching lots of vids. First one I’ll try to remove so thanks for your guidance. Confidence I can do this boost for sure.

    You are one of the best old time painters on TH-cam I consistently learn by watching you. I too use razor blades to shave runs but going 90° to the sag I've never done...makes me want to run one to try it. I am using the mirka tungsten blade as well now works very well and never digs in. Great video and channel.

    Good job. Since I use cheap clears it can be a challenge to get it hard enough. I put the bake light on it a few times. The putty method can map where it was and have to polish it again. It could just be on the clear.

    first of all he is not an old time painter, i am an old time painter, go to h.d. and get a flat fine 1/2 inch wide cut it down to 3 inch bevel the edges and epoxy to a piece of wood, works great. on really big runs an old time metal file works wonders. I actually did that once on a cadillac door, it worked but had to respray as it was too slick. got to keep the orange peel even

    I enjoy watching you. and am learning a lot. On a different topic of confusion for me...are the 3M PPS gun adapters specific for use on either a PPS Original or a PPS 2.0 cup and cap? Meaning I would hate to have to purchase both The Original and the PPS 2.0 cups and caps. Thank you.

    • @nealnaz
      @nealnaz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kandyman5315 after asking you, I did a live chat with 3M. Was told from company rep that the PPS 2.0 kits should be less expensive. I also learned the difference in appearance of both adapters. ORIGINAL has a flat adapter surface and 2.0 has sort of wings and a small funnel shape. The Original cup has 2 clips to hold the adapter and 2.0 has 4 points to clasp cup. Unfortunately, before realizing the two are NOT interchangeable, or that there was any difference, I ordered adapters that are only for Original PPS. The company no longer makes Original PPS adapters and those don't have the "S" in the name. For the Kiwami4, I was told the #43 is the Original PPS Adapter and the #S43 is the 2.0 Adapter. Hope that info helps someone else out.
