    hey everyone try reusable bags when buying from bulk bins so we can reduce the amount of plastic produced and wasted. ☺

      Georgina Vegan my local Bulk Barn actually implemented a new system where you can bring your own container, so we don't even have to use plastic anymore!:)

      none of the stores here in hawaii give you plastic bags either they are paper, reusables, or you bring your own 😁

      Mason jars and cheese cloth (put the cloth in the jars and take it out when the cashier has to weigh it? Thats what I use. I have had the same set of jars and cheese cloth for almost 6 years and they still look brand new.

    Great meal prep ideas. Suggestion: Try adding a Bay Leaf to the veggie soup. It will give it a richer "stewed all day" flavor in little time and it will still keep things simple and cheap. 😉

    I’m a young male 73 and after a few years of my doctor trying to get through my head how important nutrition is I saw your TH-cam channel about a year or so and you convinced my to EAT HEALTH! You’ll find out with senior men especially, we don’t have the patience to sit through a lecture of why and how something is good for us. However, you give me enough background to understand what I’m preparing. Love your channel and with it, I’m not only healthier, losing weight and happier, but you got my doctor off my back! Where I used to have to see him every 3 months, it’s now every 6 months and he just keeps track of me through periodic blood tests. Thanks your so cool!

      dude i literally watched this and was like.... 4 avocados at my supermarket costs $20. brown rice is atleast $6 for a small bag. a bag of spinach that size doesnt even exist here, 1/4 of that is $4 for me. how the fuck

    A tip for avocado halfs left over or for Gaucamole (if there will be some left over), if you do not throw out the pit and leave it in the avocado halfs or put the pits in your guacamole, the avocado/guacamole will not darken nor go bad for a slightly longer time.

    I had a bunch of friends who are verry skinny and i was the fat one out then ramadan came and i los 5kg bust still i was the fat ine out so all my friends were calling me fat ugly dumb giant and stuff until i decided to leave them and become friends with ppl who love me for who i am and are really nice to me

    Onions are sold by weight here in Oklahoma- so I'm usually paying. $1-$2/ lb. Farmers market is a little cheaper. Those are some cheap onions @ .12.

      orla condon I was confused at first too. Just look under the video where it says shopping list and recipe guide there is a link right next to it. Click on it and you will get the full recipe and the shopping list to make sure you have what you need. I hope this helps.

    I noticed your cut potatoes have oxidized (browned). In order to prevent this, fully submerge them in a bowl of cold water until you're ready to use them.

    +Rawvana English If you mix the avocado with a small amount of vinegar or citrus juice immediately after cutting it, it will not turn brown as quickly. The same applies to bananas.

    Thank you for the recipes. My 12 yr. old daughter was the only one that liked quinoa, but with this quinoa salad recipe my husband and I both like eating quinoa this way. We are now adding at least one vegan meal a week to our menu.

    Ok I'm just learning about Vegan. Something I make that is oh so good. Freeze a banana for a couple hours. Put in food processor or blender with 1/4 to 1/3 cup of almond or soy milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk), sprinkle some cinnamon, add a cap of vanilla extract or vanilla from a vanilla bean and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and mix in about a tablespoon or two of your favorite crushed nuts. I used pecans. Taste just as good as ice cream without all the chemicals. All natural and Oh so yummy! I can give up Blue Bells Moo-linium Crunch and all those bad ice creams for this. Yum! You can mix in raisins or other fruits if you like. If you love Bananas like I do you can use it as your base.

    Everything looks all prepped and lovely. My question is what do you do when it's time to eat? Some of the foods are cold and some are hot foods (like the soup) and they are all packed together in non-microwavable containers. I see this with lots of meal prep videos and it always baffles me. Can you give some clarification? Thanks

      She’s in Texas I think. Veggies like that are cheaper there because they aren’t shipped as far or hardly at all. Bell peppers in Oregon are like $3 lol

      I saw a price report for northern communities here in Canada. $17 a pepper. I dont doubt that. There are also programs put into place to help offset the cost.

    Man, idk what I did wrong but not one of the lunch meals tastes good at all. The cabbage just turned sour tasting once cooked and did not work well with the lime at all.

      I tried making the quinoa salad and it was sooooo gross. It just felt like too many textures and the falvors were so awkward, idk how to describe it but i couldn't eat it.

    Little bit frustrated that the dry peas weren't on the shopping list, but just "frozen or canned peas" which are different so I can't make the pea soup until I go back to the store. :(

    Tried it and some of the video recipes are different than the written instructions. How much water am I supposed to use for the pea soup? Mine came out all watery. Why am I supposed to buy 1.3 pounds of quinoa and then use only one cup? I'm a bit irritated right now about the lack of clear instructions. Was going to buy the plan but seriously reconsidering now.

    I see that there is a lb of quinoa in the prep list, but was the whole lb cooked? If we are portioning for weight loss... how much quinoa is used in the salad before portioning out? Did you divide it into 4 containers or more?

    Everybody keeps saying stuff is more expensive where they live, for me it is actually cheaper. I shop at Winco. Her avocados are $1, for me a small avocado is $0.88. She buys bulk brown rice for $0.99, at Winco short-grain brown rice like that is only $0.65. I bet this meal plan would be $4 a day for me tops.
