After watching a lot of meal prep videos, i can say that yours is THE BEST ! 1. you did it for actually 7 days not for 5 like almost everybody do (and says that its for one week)! 2. You made it really easy!! that you cant come up with an excuse to not do it! 3. Keep doing them. You are amazing!! Love you :*
I actually appreciate how there are not any hidden ingredients. I know from other videos, they show a meal prep but then have other ingredients on the side for “flavour”.
There's a lot of comments about these meals being bland. I think the salsa and cilantro are great flavor enhancers, but I've got some more inexpensive ideas. There are pantry staples that you don't need to buy every week, such as soy sauce, hot sauce, peanut butter, spices, herbs, lemon or lime juice, ginger root, curry pastes, condiments, etc. You can easily add to these meals to switch up the flavor & textures without adding a lot of cost to your weekly budget. I always buy a big tin of pickled jalapenos for under $2, and it lasts me weeks. Another item that lasts for weeks is a $4 bottle of tahini. Use it to make various sauces that are SO YUMMY. I could definitely eat a Buddha bowl with lettuce, a grain, a few veggies, and a tahini based dressing every single night of the week. I paid $43 for food for my husband and I last week using these ideas. Good luck everyone!
This was such a great video idea! Sometimes income gets tight or you're trying to save and just a helpful reminder that "you got this" and you can still stay on track is awesome!! Love your channel btw!!
This is exactly what I need. Thank you. I see similar ones for $20 a day or more. I already eat in a very similar way as you do, but actually seeing how you've done yours is extremely helpful. You rock., thank you! You've definitely have me as a new subscriber.
❤️❤️❤️💚💚💚 This was a much needed video tutorial. So many people tell me that eating this way is expensive. We were so broke when I went vegan, and I was so pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was. I mean, HELLO, you're not buying meat anymore!!!
This is an awesome vid!!! I always tell ppl it's not more expensive to eat healthy it's actually cheaper than buying meat, dairy and processed foods!! Love it! 😍
I know! I'm not fully vegan yet I am on a15 day cleanse to detoxify the body and get rid of any parasites in case I do have them lol but meat causes a lot of problems I don't know if I will stay fully vegan but I know it's not hard it's just reprogramming your mind😊
I became vegan because meat and dairy was too expensive, ppl who say that eating vegan is expensive are those who can not prepare food for themselves and need to go to a restaurant to buy vegan which is overpriced I find
AWESOME! You know...I started watching Sarah's channel when I came across her searching youtube for minimalism...then realized you guys were vegan, and I've gotta say, BOTH your channels have already transformed my life. Your vegan videos along with your financial videos about saving and being thrifty/frugal have inspired me to get back to following Dave Ramsey. While I've been on my own vegan journey the past two years I've spend a LOT of money on STUPID stuff, haha! And you both have reminded me that there's more important things to life, especially people and travel. so...THANK YOU!
Love love love the mea prep for weight loss!! People don't understand that you can be vegan and still be unhealthy and overweight so this is really helpful for me to keep me on the right track!! Thank you!! Can't wait to see more weight loss meal prep ideas!!
One thing I've learned since eating healthier is that it's always good to find a local store where you can get bigger supplies of lentils, brown rice, quinoa etc for cheap. If you always have that available in your cupboard you spend a lot less on the other fruits and vegetables that you buy during the week and just combine it :)
Thank you for the common sense in meal preparations! I really appreciate the visual and showing how to put things together I'm a student and a nurse going to school so this really really helps thank you, thank you, thank you!
If you "wrap" your individual servings of lettuce they will keep (a little piece of clear wrap or possibly a paper towel will work). Then you can pre-prep them for the week.
Love the video and the salsa. Reading through the comments Yovana is just showing you a basic 'the key' of losing weight idea...that's the point. I think it is a great idea. You can add spices to your likes where ever you want and with a low budget you can eat healthy and lose weight. I love it so much because for many years I was following vegans online and I couldn't afford what they were eating so I love these kinds of videos. You can be as creative as you want with the ingredients Yovana uses. She is just showing you the basic tools. Basic is everything❤
Let's do This! I love when you say that 💕 This looks so amazing Rawvana, and you've made eating vegan so easy and so doable!!! Delish and cruelty free 💖
Great video. Its super hard for me to do breakfast though. I don't like fruit at all unless its blended so that's what Ive been doing is having smoothies for breakfast or snack. I have been vegan now since Christmas Eve of 2016. It has changed my life, your videos help so much, I lost 23 pounds so far and feel amazing! thank you.
Hey Rawvana, As a college student I am always looking for clean easy and delicious vegan meals! I currently live in a dorm and can't make all of this, but next year I will be in an apartment and I'll definitely come back to this video and replicate this delicious meal prep! Thanks for sharing it and thanks for always being positive and spreading it to us 😘♥️
this is the best budget meal prep video I've seen on TH-cam. You actually made food for the entire week and the food looks tasty . I don't know if it would be enough calories for a high carb lifestyle though
that's my problem, because I live on my own, anytime I cook healthy or meal prep I have to eat the same thing for like 5-6 times in the week so I don't waste food or money, and I don't have room in the freezer for all of these
thank God someone pointed this out. I think vegans can get an unfair wrap for eating bland food, and watching this video I can see why. Granted some things need none, like melons, but please, can we flavor food that needs it?
Vegan eating can be expensive if you purchase a lot of processed foods, like vegan burgers and stuff like that. I find there are some staple it's like maple syrup, hemp seeds, nuts and seeds that I like to buy. They last a while so it's like a once a month purchase and then everything else is reasonably priced! Buying what is in season is important too! If a fruit seems unusually expensive it means it is not in season, so keep that in mind!
Rawvana, you are the BEST! I love your whole way of thinking! Your food ideas and everything else. I love finding your videos in my inbox. You are smart, sweet and very pleasant. Thank you! Also I really enjoyed this vid:) Keep being awesome! Thank you!!
Love ❤️ your videos!!! I'm going grocery shopping and making exactly what you made and see if it helps me from eating out & wasting so much money 💰 thanks 🙏 wow I just made the same dish you made & I had so much leftover food 🥘 I almost used up all my food containers!!!
Great video - thank you! Any ideas for breakfast other than oatmeal? I have tried off and on for years to eat oatmeal, but I just can't do it... even with adding things like brown sugar and raisens etc etc ...
you could have some bread with a bunch of seeds in it and you could put a bit of almond butter or peanut butter with fruits (I would personally put bananas but you could try berries if you like that with the nut butter or pears) on top, a glass of fresh fruit juice with it and it should be quite filling and nutritious
I try to keep bread out of the house because it is such a "go-to" food for me... but I would like recommendations for a thin-sliced nutty-seedy bread - I just haven't been able to find one that is thin sliced, dense and very nutty-seedy. I'm not much into peanut/almond butters either - but that idea makes me think that avocado toast would be a good option!
I didn't realize just how picky I am, lol! Tofu is something else I have tried several times but the texture turns me off :-( but yes, breakfast burritos are a great idea - with refried beans, tomatoes etc....
I live in the UK so I can't really say, I just pick some 7 grains bread at the store, I eat too much bread as well but I'm French, I blame it on my genes haha, you could have an avocado on its own as well if you wanted, for the healthy fats and then a ton of fruits and maybe a few nuts on the side?
Thanks for proving that it can be inexpensive to eat vegan! By the way, you can get tomatoes this time of year wayyy cheaper than at Trader Joe's. A produce market will tend to have produce much cheaper and greater variety. At one place I frequent, they often have organic roma tomatoes for .99/lb., which is amazing. I basically only use Trader Joe's for produce to buy mushrooms, oranges, and organic potatoes. Sometimes other things of course but I do try to go to different stores to get the best deals.
Amazing prep, and so helpful! What are some essential kitchen tools that you recommend? I live in a dorm and only have one pan and one pot. I want to meal prep for the whole week but I find that it takes a bit longer when I am cooking one thing at a time.
I just made this and oh my goodness I have a headache lol it literally took me 3 1/2 hours!! But it was worth it because I am soooooo excited to have all my meals ❤️❤️ thanks for the video it’s amazing 😬😌
Hi, Ive always wanted to meal prep for 7 days like this but I'm always so worried about how long everything will last in the fridge before they start to go bad. Can anyone who does this regularly please tell me if 7 days is really okay? Thank you😊
shelloue perez I usually prepare my beans and freeze them in portions (I make them tasty with some seasonings and herbs), the rice or quinoa lasts in the fridge from 4 to 5 days inside a closed container away from the fridge's door. I chop my fruits when I'm going to eat them to keep them fresh, I only cut in advance the big ones like pineapple, melon and watermelon and they keep well in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge (also away from the door). when I prepare overnight oats I never add the fruit to prevent it from getting bad... I've found that I can steam broccoli and other harty vegetables in advance and they will keep well for up to 3 days, I never freeze them as to me their consistency changes, I also never freeze cooked potatoes because they get weird, on the other side, I peel, cut and wash igname and manioc or cassava and freeze them in ziplock bags and have them ready to cook them when I'm hungry. that's basically what I do when I meal prep. Hope you find it helpful!
Same, I have had too many food poisoning experiences to trust food prep.. 7 days seems a long time to keep things in the fridge I’m also interested in hearing others experiences.
I liked this. overnight oats, never heard of this. I think you need more bananas, and some more raw stuff. We do not have a sprouts here in Miami, and I have recently started growing my own foods. and mango season is right around the corner.
I've always found being vegan saves soooo much money. Meat and general animal products are really expensive & just buying fruit, veg & legumes is so much better for your bank account :)
You've convinced me that I can actually do this! I've been eating one vegan meal daily, but now I'm going to try one week monthly. Thank you for this video!!!
- I think beans and rice should be the staple of the diet. Beans and rice are usually very cheap and affordable in the United States, costing only about $1.00 per pound of beans or rice. They also have high energy density, and the beans (specifically black turtle beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, black-eyed peas, and soy products) are complete proteins. For about $2 worth of beans and rice, you may make enough food for maybe 1-2 whole days. If you can make the food stretch for 2 days, then you can spend about $8 on just beans and rice. Peanuts are high in fat, with approximate amounts of protein and carbs; they also seem to be relatively cheap in the United States, at least where I live. They are much cheaper than almonds or cashews, so it is possible to buy bundles of unsalted peanuts to include fats into the diet. Then, you can buy whatever fruits and vegetables on sale at your time of year and location. So, it is possible to live even more frugally than $34.12. Where I live, Trader Joe's somehow has one-dollar frozen Brussel sprouts and one-dollar pastas. And Kroger has the Kroger Free Friday Deal. Many stores have circulars and coupons; use the coupons to your advantage.
I love this video and totally want to try this, but I am hesitant to use plastic containers...but glass options are expensive and do not offer the same compartment options. What are your thoughts on storing your food in the plastic containers and the issues with hormone disrupters? Thank you for all your great videos and ideas! :)
I loved your video Yovana. Unfortunately, here in Montreal our prices are double what you have listed. Therefore it would cost me $10 a day which is way over my budget. Perhaps this summer when everything is in season here. :D Thanks for the ideas though!
After watching a lot of meal prep videos, i can say that yours is THE BEST !

For a family of five sweet vegans this Volg seriously is going to save us so much $$. Thank you 🤗🤗
You are a LIFE-SAVER! I'm moving to San Diego in literally one week and I'm gonna need to BUDGET. You ROCK, Yovana!!!
This was such a great video idea! Sometimes income gets tight or you're trying to save and just a helpful reminder that "you got this" and you can still stay on track is awesome!! Love your channel btw!!

Yes!! I get so happy watching this lol
Cela Bella my parents aren't vegan. And they literally spend like 15 bucks a meat package when they go shopping. Meat has gotten so expensive.

So excited to do this meal prep on Sunday! I've been failing to eat healthy so having set meals will help me so much.
I love how you put the prices for each item and made a grocery list for us to follow :)
Hey Rawvana,
As a college student I am always looking for clean easy and delicious vegan meals! I currently live in a dorm and can't make all of this, but next year I will be in an apartment and I'll definitely come back to this video and replicate this delicious meal prep! Thanks for sharing it and thanks for always being positive and spreading it to us 😘♥️
please make more meal preps this looks amazing !!!!
This was SO HELPFUL some weeks I'm so busy this would be amazing to do😊 I would love to see more of these vids!
this is the best budget meal prep video I've seen on TH-cam. You actually made food for the entire week and the food looks tasty . I don't know if it would be enough calories for a high carb lifestyle though
Taryn Bell but who realistically it's the same thing every day of the week?
that's my problem, because I live on my own, anytime I cook healthy or meal prep I have to eat the same thing for like 5-6 times in the week so I don't waste food or money, and I don't have room in the freezer for all of these
gloria people who have no time like nurses like my mother tend to eat the same thing I think it's a good idea but SEASONING
thank God someone pointed this out. I think vegans can get an unfair wrap for eating bland food, and watching this video I can see why. Granted some things need none, like melons, but please, can we flavor food that needs it?
Thank you for such detailed explanation and organization when it comes to meals. Thanks for making it so simple.
This is your best video ever. Perfect demonstration of how tasty, easy and adorable a vegan diet is. Thank you ❤
love love love this!!! please do more vegan options!
Awesome video! Nice variety helps with boredom! Looking forward to next week!
just a suggestion if you dont want to eat the same thing for a week, divide the week in half so 4 days of same meals + 3 days different meal
This is so awesome! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this, I appreciate it so very much!
SO helpful!! Im always looking for meal prep tips, keep 'em coming luv!
This is officially my favorite vegan inspiration channel
your salsa looks so good! I will definitely try this. More meal prep ideas would be great!
This was definitely helpful. It broke down meal prepping a lot easier. Thank you!
I love this video, it gives me good ideas on how to go about using my sweet potatoes. You are a beautiful being it radiates in this video.
Love your meal preps!!!
All this Tupperware and meal prep in one place makes me SO HAPPY
that's awesome. I might try precooking like you did, but I think I'd put it on the plate on the day as needed.
I do this same method as well! It's awesome and makes my life sooooo much easier :) Thanks for sharing!
I love your meal prep videos they are so easy to follow!
Ohhh my God!!! Girl you are AMAZING!!! I love everyone of your videos thanks to share and give tones of ideas 💖❤💖❤🤜🤛🤗🤗 I love it!!!
The salsa looks good! You make everything look so easy...
"But being vegan is so expensive THO" lol 😂😂😂
Can you do a raw one please!!!!

This is probably one of my favourite videos! A thousand thumbs up :D
All of the food looks so delicious and healthy!
I totally loved it! 👍🏼
Thank you for making these videos😊 They are helping me out so much as I begin to eat vegan

Rawvana, you are the BEST! I love your whole way of thinking! Your food ideas and everything else. I love finding your videos in my inbox. You are smart, sweet and very pleasant. Thank you! Also I really enjoyed this vid:) Keep being awesome! Thank you!!
I need more raw veggies and fruit for the week. orange every day, blueberries for my oatmeal every day. More greens especially spinach and arugula.
Love ❤️ your videos!!! I'm going grocery shopping and making exactly what you made and see if it helps me from eating out & wasting so much money 💰 thanks 🙏 wow I just made the same dish you made & I had so much leftover food 🥘 I almost used up all my food containers!!!
It does look easy and delicious so this again with a different variety please 💜

of course it will be a bit more costly than oatmeal but you can get bread for not too much, same for bananas and the nut butter will last you ages

Great video! Loved it. Yes, more please!
Hi, Ive always wanted to meal prep for 7 days like this but I'm always so worried about how long everything will last in the fridge before they start to go bad.
Can anyone who does this regularly please tell me if 7 days is really okay? Thank you😊
You can freeze some of it
shelloue perez I usually prepare my beans and freeze them in portions (I make them tasty with some seasonings and herbs), the rice or quinoa lasts in the fridge from 4 to 5 days inside a closed container away from the fridge's door. Same, I have had too many food poisoning experiences to trust food prep.. 7 days seems a long time to keep things in the fridge I’m also interested in hearing others experiences.
Hi :-) Check out 'the vegan corner' here on YT, they have a few very informative videos on food prep.
In my experience, prepping for 5 days works okay, by day 5 it's getting a BIT not great, but still edible. But 7 days is REALLY pushing it.
I just came across your channel and I really love it😙. well done girl🖒👏
Love this video!!! I definitely want to start meal prepping myself!
I liked this. overnight oats, never heard of this. I think you need more bananas, and some more raw stuff. We do not have a sprouts here in Miami, and I have recently started growing my own foods. and mango season is right around the corner.
Yesss! It's so do able. Love videos like these! I also share affordable plant based recipes as well :)
I love your videos I love how you go shopping I love how you show everything step by step keep up the great work... where did you get your Tupperware?
Love you. Just watching all your meal preps. I'm a Pescaterian so do I do fish instead of one of the proteins?
Actually i love this the most.... meal prep for a week. Thanks!
Love this so much, would love to see more! x
I am so going to do this, please make more!!!
I'm not vegan but I do like the overnight oats idea and getting bulk beans and rice
I live at Trader Joe's and buy all that stuff but didn't figure out how to make these meals. This video was very helpful!! Thanks!!!
Oh yes yes yes!! More videos pleas. This is awesome!!! Thank you
I didn't realize you just uploaded this today but, I bought everything on the list and we'll see how it works out!!
coconut sugar and cucumbers weren't on the list, also what was the garlic for?
love it! keep these coming!
American fresh produce prices vs. Australian prices always continue to amaze me!

Amazing video ! Just add some more exciting snacks ! 🙊Thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you this is really helpful for people wanting to start
love it! food looks delicious😊
Happy Saturday Yovanita! Excellent video, you are amazing and beautiful! Love you!! 💚💚💚
I loved your video Yovana. Unfortunately, here in Montreal our prices are double what you have listed. Therefore it would cost me $10 a day which is way over my budget. Perhaps this summer when everything is in season here. :D Thanks for the ideas though!
I love this! Thank you!
I just found The Raw Boy and through him I found you! New subscriber!
nice! do more videos like this!
