Thanks for the review! My final straw was having 3 different consecutive gas station air pumps fail on me. I generally have faith in DeWalt products, but I still like to check out videos and reviews just so I can feel sure; I appreciate your thoroughness and clarity. :)

I have one and can tell you it works well. The only comment I have is in agreement with the observation of it walking while running...it vibrates enough that the rubber feet do not keep it in one place. What I really like is the portability to take it anywhere off road, in the woods camping or simply for residential home use. I purchased mine to keep the tires on my vehicles at the correct PSI. I've always hated going to gas stations or trying to find a place that has air for you to inflate your tires. This portable inflator is just what I needed.

Yea I agree these portable tire inflators are very convenient! One of the main reasons I chose this model is the high-volume side where I can easily inflate some of my kids pool toys. I have done this in the past with my Milwaukee M12 inflator, but I had to manually fight with the smaller nozzle and it took a lot longer. The additional 12v DC adapter is another bonus.

Cool. Wish I could add a battery pack to my 160psi inflator. I like the DeWalt brand quality but the pricing in my country makes them unobtainable. Specially since my 160psi inflator is $112 and this is $173 if I want to buy.

Yea the battery definitely makes it more convenient. We are lucky in the US, its regularly on sale for $99.

Can the battery be charged through this inflator by connecting the AC cord to a power outlet?

No this inflator is not a battery charger. The AC cord will only power the inflator to allow the pump to run.

Does this have enough oomph to inflate mudding tires or deflate them?

As long as the tire is less than 60 psi it will work. The high volume side will go up to 160 psi.

I have this exact tool and now hybrid mud/AT Wrangler DuraTrac tires and it takes about 5 mins to pump up on DuraTrac from 24 PSI to 35😬 also, after the second tire was when it shut off due to over heating

Yep, my portable tank and electric compressor haven't been used since I got this. After it arrived, I was like a kid running around looking for tires to pump air into...riding lawn mower came to mind, Kubota, boat trailer...it was pretty easy actually. Simply walked around to each, attached the air hose, set the pressure and turned it on. I'd like to see if one of the MORRFLATE setups akin to what Casey LaDelle uses (inflates all four tires at once) would work. Not sure if the Dewalt would be able to keep up...if anyone has any info I'd be interested.

I personally haven't used one, however if you get one of the 4 hose kits and attach to this inflator I'm sure it will work. How fast it works would be another story as you would need decent amount of pressure to inflate all 4 tires at the same time.
