    The main problem is dewalt batteries cost to much it ridiculous how many they cost and they don’t last. Do the fakes work and do they cost less

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Yea the fakes will work, but how well and long depends on which one you get/how it was built. The genuine will have better cells and in theory should perform better and last a lot longer. Really the biggest thing for me is the thermal protection that the genuine has to shut down to protect tools and the battery. I have heard stories where people used cheap knock off batteries that ruined their expense tools. Yes, the genuine cost more, but if you get around holidays (especially Nov/Dec) you can get them for free with other tool purchase. If my tools and money are on the line, I would get the genuine as you know what you're getting and are guarantee the warranty from Dewalt.

      You still don't have the floor jack underneath the oil pan do you? If so, this will apply pressure upwards, and it will be hard to move motor. Hold on to the alternator like I did at 10:25 and you should be able to rotate motor forward. Good luck!

    Thank you your detailed review video helped me pick the Bosch. I am already in the m12 line but just like you I disliked that bar in the Milwaukee and the forward/reverse buttons. The Bosch has done every job I’ve put it through and surprises me every time I use it. It’s definitely my go to and I tend to reach for it more than the m12 impact driver now for the quietness 👍🏻

    DeWalt's maths are nonsense. 5.0 Ah should equal 5.0 Ah. How can they seriously say 5.0bAh is actually 7.0 Ah? Need to run these through a power test and see what's the truth. These claims make me distrust the DeWalt brand, because 5.0 isn't 7.0.

    It feels like mine is auto defrosting too much, seems once the freezer reaches 0 degrees, compressor will go off and within a few minutes it will go back up to 30 degrees then back to 0 again. Is that normal? on my wifi graph for example its at 0 degrees at 10:15am and then at 10:45am it gets to 30 degrees and then back to 0 degrees at 11:30am, and then it just keeps repeating this cycle all day

      Its ok that happens to all of us on occasion. Did you confirm that it will not lock in place? If not, try to connect the plug on the end of sensor (don't do it while installed test while holding) and see if it will stay in place. In addition, the extra red clip helps keep in place, but I have worked on many cars over the years that the red locking pin is missing and the plug still stayed in place. If it snaps in and doesn't pull out easily then you should be fine to use. If it doesn't, then you just need to replace the plug. You can either use a terminal tool ( amzn.to/4dJSjqR ) to pop the plug off and replace just the plug or cut the wire and splice a new plug on (similar to this, not sure your year: amzn.to/3YO4gYt ). If you go to your local parts store, they should have them in stock as it's a common problem. You can do this, good luck!

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@paulburns3165 So the end of the plug where you would push to release the clip is where it broke? If that is the case, you should be able to take a small screwdriver on the front side and pry up. There's a little lip on the sensor that you need to clear and it will pull off. Also if you have a small wrench you can try to take off the sensor first with plug still attached so you have better access to see how to remove plug. I cant confirm without seeing it, but the fact that the plug is still connected may mean that the plug can still be used.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You're correct, if extremely rusty you need to proceed with caution. With that said a lot of times it's just a surface rust and its fine. What I do when in question, grip the pinch weld and feel for any soft spots or movement (you can tell real quick if not safe as it doesn't feel solid). If feels firm then slowly jack up and watch the weld...if it's bad you will see movement and/or loud cracking noises which is telling you to stop. Unfortunately, some of these newer cars we are starting to see less and less points to jack up which makes these pinch welds sometimes the only option. Either way your right tho you need to be careful.

      Assuming you're talking about the rear brakes as you have to set the parking brake into service mode. With that said, you don't have to use a scanner. See this video ( th-cam.com/video/LU-bfJzYNy0/w-d-xo.html )I show how to do this manually without an expensive scanner. On the front brakes, there isn't anything special to use other than the basic tools I show in the video.

    The aftermarket/counterfeit batteries are NOT safe and they lack battery management that keep charging/temps at a safe rate. This is especially true because they often lack the capacity to prevent overcharging AND they use lower tier/quality cells. It's not worth it unless you want to burn your house down and put your family at risk.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I agree I only use genuine batteries for all my tools across brands. With said, at least the aftermarket ones aren't tricking people into thinking they are genuine. Very similar in the automotive world, there is a calculated risk to buying cheaper aftermarket parts vs the more expensive OEM. The counterfeit ones like the one I had in this video are the ones I have a real problem with as people think they are getting genuine and instead get some random battery with genuine looking Dewalt labels/packaging.

      If you have a Lowes, HD, Acme, Northern, etc locally you can always buy local just make sure the box is not a return. I do a separate video about getting used tools in new boxes at local stores. If buying online, check out this link ( toolguyd.com/bosch-certified-online-partner-notice-tool-listings-amazon/ ), about halfway down it shows the Dewalt online authorized dealers for Amazon. Notice the Amazon one is shipped and sold by Amazon or Shipped by Amazon and sold by one of the othes: Acme, CPO, Max Tool, Toolup, Toolbarn.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      As mentioned in the video, if you're buying a 2 pack of 5ah batteries online for $70 there is a good chance you are buying counterfeit batteries. Shipped and sold by Amazon is currently around $140 and Amazon typically sells at the lowest possible price from the manufacturer/distributor. HD and Lowes have the same 2 pack for closer to $200. Buy shipped and sold by Amazon you are buying genuine batteries otherwise it's a wildcard unless the sold by is a known company as mentioned in video (not random name). If you want to wildcard it, then yes you have to have the battery in hand to know if it's a counterfeit just like you have to with every other single counterfeit in every other industry.

    Great review. Thanks. I wish companies would put loops on the chest straps of tool suspenders like they do on the outside of military backpacks and some ToughBuilt pouches. I put a non-contact voltage tester and a little contact tester with leads on Key-baks and hook them to my MagnoGrip suspenders, which have one loop on each side, but I often like to hang other stuff there for quick access.
